I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up. This is not working out so well. 😂

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.
It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

What time are we all planning to start checking the Harrods app in the morning? 😃

I'm in Croatia with a zipwire experience booked for 10am tomorrow (thanks DS!). I'm fully expecting it to be released when I'm in mid-air. Hoping the BAC takes longer to sell out than the FAC!

My DH comes in from work at around 6am so might check then. I think it was late morning last year, not that that means anything!

I saw a FB comment from someone who said a H Beauty assistant told them they'd be doing them in batches this year.

Take this comment with a whole ocean of salt though. It's literally third hand via some random FB person I don't know.

This would not surprise me. I really think the scent tote was a trial run for Harrods.

Sharing in case this helps I have asked ChatGPT to check everyhour if the HFAC is in sale and to notify me if it is. It has set up a task and seems to be working so far. Might work might not first time ive used AI like this so sharing in case it helps

They did exactly this with the scent tote. I think it was second drop that I got it.

Oh me too. I can’t be obsessively checking the app all week. I don’t even really need the fragrance calendar as I haven’t really got through that much of last year’s lot, I just have serious FOMO over it. 🥺

They did a few drops. We discussed at the time about it being a trial run as @Addictedtobeauty says. I wouldn't be surprised but also not going to be complacent.

I really hope it’s not 6am. The earliest I’m ever up is 8am and as tomorrow is a bank holiday, I would normally sleep in to about 9.

Tuesday would be a disaster if it’s not before 12 as I’m deviceless for about 4 hours then. Wednesday I’ve about 3 hours of meetings and similar on Thursday.

Do you think it would be unprofessional if, when I’m in a meeting, I kept checking, then had a little panic attack and probably dropped the phone when they released, told everyone to be quiet as I need to concentrate and proceeded to buy it? In case it makes any difference, it will be all men in the meeting.

I miss the days all our meetings were online and you could use the WiFi dropping as an excuse.

Preface the meeting with an announcement you're waiting for a very important email to come through and will need to check your phone periodically. If you get a notification leg it to the bathroom or say you need to step out for a very urgent call. 😂

Oh yes I do sorry, I have it for work. That’s mean that the free version won’t do it! I pay for image and amount of requests per day when working didn’t realise other features were pay only sorry.

think it was about 9.30 or 10 last year when it came out …I though there would be some whispers from harrods or ‘those influencers in the know ‘ about when it would be released at this stage but ive not seen anything so wonder if it will drop tomorrow at all 🤔…im gonna check from about 8

That might be a good plan if I wasn’t likely to overreact when the notification comes in. They will either think someone has died or I won the lotto.

What’s worse is the free version offers to monitor for you and then tells you it can’t do it.

I'm starting to think it might not drop at all tomorrow. But then saying that, the scent tote was completely out of the blue, no influencers had inside knowledge about that being released.

@Perfumepanda do you mind sending me what instructions you gave it please? I've never done that before. I do use ai in my job, so I'm not a complete beginner to it, but usually only ask it to search for things already in existence.

You could be right. I asked ChatGPT how likely it would drop tomorrow and this is what it said:
