New thread

Guidelines
I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up. This is not working out so well. 😂

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.
It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

It probably goes without saying but please be courteous and patient with each other. This thread will have spoilers and please no judging of others for their purchasing choices. Participation in the threads is optional.

Hmmm, the only beauty reward I have at the moment is the Shiseido free sample which is out of stock. Do you have that one?

I had that reward. I saw it when it was still in stock but held off as was planning to place and order, then it went out of stock. I am drowning in stuff anyway so no great loss for me.
They do have some really good offers from time to time

From a Senior Sales Associate last week in Knightsbridge

Many thanks @HardyJadeTurtle

Do you have any idea about BAC numbers?

diamondsandrose · 02/08/2026 09:27

Aaah!! Up the top! I think I’m in M beauty then ? Does this mean early access to FACs? Woohoo 🙌🏻

Pointless for me anyway. I’ve found my holy grail eye cream which will have to be forced from my cold dead hands and don’t use retinol.

Interested to know what your holy grail is? (I’ve probably got it in my stash 😅)

Doglover73 · 02/08/2026 09:38

@BIossomtoes which eye cream is it? X

BIossomtoes · 02/08/2026 09:43

It’s this one. I got it in a calendar or GWP originally. Great eye cream containing lash serum - you should see my previously sparse eyelashes now!

Ooh thanks. I'll have to check this out. I've been working my way through lash serums with varying success but I'm not great at remembering to use them. An all in one eye cream would be far preferable.

I’m hoping Elemis do their 12 day one again this year.
Over the years have had The Body Shop, F&M, Jo Malone and ASOS for Dd but the best value and most used was last years Elemis. I used everything whereas although the F&M one I had a couple of years before was beautiful only about half was to my taste.
I know Elemis normally do a 25 day one as well so that’s another option.
I think unlike most other people I prefer a single brand calendar

I think they’re great in that you get a full regime and everything is compatible. If you like the brand, it’s a no brainer. I was gutted to miss the Harrods Elemis X calendar last year in the sales. It had amazing products in that I really wanted to try,

I love the variety of multi brand calendars but my biggest complaint is when there isn’t a full routine. So a day cream but no night cream, three day products that counteract each other or three serums but no moisturiser etc. That’s poor curation but it happens more than I’d like (and why we don’t buy blind).

ACAC2023 · 02/08/2026 12:30

Thanks for the new thread. Just saw this. JL also a definite no from me.

i may not actually buy any this year. Sadly, I think I have AC Fatigue but hoping one will catch my eye.

has anyone ever had a Korean skincare one. I think that’s something I’d like to try.

have signed up to the Vogue waiting list, just in case they ever manage to match the 2023 A/C. I really loved that one

I had the Sylvan Glow calendar last year. Apart from the fact it was a thing of beauty, the products in it were lovely. The only reason I won’t be buying it this year is that I went mad on Korean products last year and still have enough to open a shop! The only items that I didn’t use was the blackhead removal one. Link below if you want to have a look.

SheilaFentiman · 02/08/2026 16:01

Ooh, Kiko Milano is coming soon.

I have mixed feelings on Kiko products. They're either big hit or huge miss for me. I have one near my office so often browse.

Their water shadows are really good and they recently did some lovely glowy blushes in the Cavalli ltd ed collection. I've never found a lip product I like the formula of though.

Generally I find their Ltd collections better than the basic line but even then it's usually just the odd star item from the collection.

Does anyone have any experience of buying a BAC in the UK and taking it (preferably in cabin baggage but could maybe go in the hold) overseas - to the US?

I know the liquid restrictions are no longer a problem in terms of size/quantity, but I don’t want to risk it if there’s a chance it could be pulled apart at security!

I’m thinking of buying one and taking it as a gift for someone in the US. The weight isn’t an issue.

Isabelle70 · 02/08/2026 18:39

@IDontKnowWhatYouMean could you remove the liquid /cream items from it and put in one bag, so if they did want to scan it’s just in one liquid bag?

OvaHere · 02/08/2026 19:33

Glossybox coming soon. Looks like a move away from the chest style they've had previously.

I went to do some sniff testing this weekend, I couldn’t try everything I wanted to but from what I did, I have ruled out JL FAC (not accounting for FOMO), and Harrods is the front runner. Obviously this isn’t great news given how low the chances are of me getting my hands on the Harrods one.
Of course we still don’t know what HN or others will be offering, and I was really happy with HN last year so fingers crossed for another good one from them.

edited to say that I will not be able to offer any help whatsoever on the fragrances as they all morphed into one in the end! 😅 (luckily I was walking around with phone in hand making notes of what I did and didn’t like 🤓)

Depends on airport. Liquide up to 1L (?) are allowed now in Gatwick, but not is Luton or Stansted. Most of airports don't require to take liquids out of bag now.

Assume you're flying from Heathrow? there should be some info about liquids restictions.
