Sandals for 20k steps a day on city break

i really can’t do trainers in very hot weather but I need something very comfortable for walking 20k plus steps a day. I’ve looked at Skechers, fitflop, teva but I think I need a recommendation. Has anyone found any with good arch support and very cushioned soles which might fit the bill?
I know there are lots of actual hiking sandals but I’d like something more attractive if possible

Tevas have the best fit and excellent soles for any walking (not the foam sort) and fit flop have amazing inner soles but dreadful dread on the outer sole. Tevas soles are pretty good and I would pick them first generally.

I have these Merrell Fleur. They are very, very comfortable.

I didn’t expect so many replies!! So many to look at.
I’ve ordered a few to try, on some of these recommendations so hopefully one pair will be THE one! A few fitflops, tevas and randomly an Ecco pair which I don’t think anyone recommended but I came across on the decathlon website

I find the FitFlop ones very good for walking on holiday. I've had mine for years and they've walked miles around London on work days and around many hilly, warm European cities and towns on holiday with not so much as a blister. By contrast I get rubbing when I wear my Birkenstocks for more than just pottering around.

I have these Josef Seibel ones and have walked for miles and miles in them. Good supportive sole and great quality.

I swear by these for all day wear. Wore them in New York. High enough so that I didn’t get ground juice near toes 🤢 but kept toes cool. No sore feet at all.

I live in a warm climate and swear by these Keen Sandals for total comfort. I walk everywhere, well over 10k steps daily and never any problems with these. I actually wear these year round.
i also wear Fitflop and love them for their comfort.

Someone else made mention of Naot shoes and I have 3 prs of their Mary Jane shoes that I’ve had for years and these are another comfortable shoe and they look smart enough to wear out in the evenings when I know there may be a fair amount of walking involved.
OP I hope you find something suitable for your feet as definitely nothing worse than ending the walking day with blisters, sore feet etc. I only ever wear flat shoes due to my awful feet so I have trialled several brands over the years!

I got teva hurricane last year, by they're so, so ugly I haven't grown too like them with anything. My feet are size 7ish, but a bit like my boobs, no padding, so sandals tend to slop about.

Moshulu cork bed were recommended on here and they totally work.

Another recommendation for Saltwaters with the squishy sole. I’ve just returned from a very hot city break and walked around constantly for 3 days in them. The ones with the flat soles though are far too flat.

Fitflop Neo D Hyker for general walking are great. Teva Tirra for rougher ground as I find they give a bit more support.

Another vote for Josef Seibel.

OP - I also have Ecco sandals and have been buying them for years ( but usually try to get them in the annual NY sales here) but another comfy sandal that suits my feet and never a bluster in sight after lots of walking.

Good Luck I honestly spent years trying out different sandals and must say nowadays shoe companies certainly make better sandals that when I was a lot younger.

I can’t wear either Heavenly feet of Josef Siebol. They don’t feel comfortable on every one. Fitflop, Ecco, and Keen are all excellent for me.

Very little excites the posters that frequent “style and beauty” more than “stylish” walking sandals

Go to an independent shoe shop with lots of brands and have a try on. Rieker, Josef Seibel, Birks etc etc. Amongst the slightly dubious styles with floral leather and ugly soles, there are some gems. But best to try on. Ones with (concealed) Velcro are good as you can adjust the straps as your feet inevitably swell during the day.
I’ve walked miles (including Disneyworld in August) in Josef Seibel Tonga 25’s, and have rebought several times.

PS BIrks footbed and Tevas square buckle thingy absolutely do not work for me. Hence try on is needed. And leather lined is a must.
