Royal Style: summer's end, but not for style ❤️

The end of summer lies ahead, but we're hoping for more bling!

There were quite a few other royals at that event with Amalia. Our birthday Queen looks glam and Princess Benedicte is as elegant as ever. She reminds me a bit of Birgitte Gloucester, maybe it's Danish chic? (Daisy's style is many things but I wouldn't call it chic, and thank goodness for that!)

Daisy has a style all of her own. Closely followed by Max! I like Benedickte's shirtdress, also her chignon.
I'm not keen on Mary's outfit, colour or style.

I agree re the colour but I do like the style. Navy or deep red might've been a better choice!

Oh, I like Mary's dress, I'd wear that albeit in a bigger size! Zara looks good in that picture, would quite like to see a full-length picture.

Not fashion-related but is it only me that thinks of Jilly Cooper and Rupert Campbell Black when Aachen and showjumping is mentioned?

I've never seen a Hare Krishna looking like Meghan did the other night but I've obviously not been paying enough attention to them!

Neither have I, and nor did I suggest anything of the sort about the poor Hare Krishna’s 😉 !

What I did say was, the drape on the back of Meghan’s dress looked (to me) like the drape of a Hare Krishna robe, you can see how it draped, at the rear, when she was videoed walking past the bag pipers and I thought it very much resembled the drape on a Hare Krishna robe. 🙂

I would say that Daisy's style is theatrical. I love the fact that she designed a lot of her own clothes, as well as illustrating the Danish edition of Lord of the Rings and various theatre and opera productions. A genuinely very talented woman.

I think the dress looks amazing on her from the front, but there is too much fabric hanging at the back.
It would look better (in my opinion) if the cape just hung down over the one shoulder at the back.

Meghan’s dress isn’t actually draped like a toga from the rear. It actually has a train, which she has looped up over her left arm after leaving the red carpet, as trains are not very practical in real life!

A train on a dress is so dramatic, however I can imagine it's not completely practical. Looping it makes sense.

I love both Sarah Chatto's necklaces, but I think each of them would look better on their own. The pearl and diamond one is much more delicate than the all-diamond one and I think it rather loses out if they're together.
