You're scaring me now! Surely a big established retailer like harrods wouldn't sell stock they have run out of ...hmm didnt they do this last year with the FAC?

On which point, its only about 7 weeks until the ACs start releasing...omg.

I have my two JL samples intact. The joys of collection in store.

I also tried the CT wand in Jarrolds to test it for colour before opening the one I got with the magazine. It’s GORGEOUS!

My JL samples arrived, the perfume is smashed and the medik8 all crunched up. I'm going to complain, I paid £4 for p&p. It did smell nice though 🤣

My Harrods order hasn't been dispatched but I have every faith in them that it'll turn up 🙈 i have had it before where my order was eventually cancelled and it took ages to get my money back, I hope they don't mess around with these.

i get my JL stuff sent to the nearest Waitrose so fingers crossed my samples will be intact!

I don't have a Waitrose nearby, I have John Lewis in town but the cost of parking in Leeds is ridiculous

I ALWAYS challenge poor service/products nowadays - I refuse to accept that we should put up with this kind of thing. We deserve better and companies need to be held to account to give them the chance to improve!

Still no email with CB lucky dip over 24 hours later.

@SheilaFentiman and @IlovePond my nearest JL is 2 hours away and waitrose is 40 minutes or I'd definitely order to store. I didn't used to complain and felt a bit cheeky doing it this time but as @JoRaRaRa said, postage was about £4 so the least they can do is make sure it gets to me. I wish they wouldn't use jiffy bags, they obviously can't cope with Evri's handling. Im just glad the le Labo turned up. If any of the advents or edits include it this year I'll be buying them just for that.

My LiB turned up with the AI freebie . Well that has certainly cheered me up ! What a bargain and I am fully SPF’d up 😂 . I looked on eBay and the Harrods perfume tote is available for 180 which I think is a more than fair price . But after my moaning Im not sure I want it now until I hear feedback from you guys by which time it will be gone and it will be 260 . So I am resigned to its passing .

You are all making me feel very appreciative of having JL Brent X on my doorstep, along with 4 Waitrose stores within 2 miles of my house! I selected collect from store for when I get back next week for my samples because it was cheaper than delivery: hopefully that means they’ll be intact!

There’s something up with JL online at the moment:
I placed 4 massive orders last week and wasn’t able to access order details or request returns for any of them before I left. It wouldn’t take long to drive to the store if I have to but the boxes are huge so I’m really hoping it’s sorted by the time I get home and I can drop them at my closest Waitrose!

And big thanks to whoever mentioned the latest JL medik8 reward - I assumed I wouldn’t have been able to get that one but it’s turned up in my offers too. Not ordering yet as I’m sure there’ll be something I actually need within the next few days.

Just dug them out . I thought pretty good for 44 pounds given that I spend and age looking for bloody crackers . My eldest is going to be happy with the harmonica , I might not be 😂

Agree. I bought a Chanel lipstick from there and it showed up in the most flimsy brown envelope, so of course the box was a bit battered. I should have complained really. It was a ltd ed so JL was the only place that had the shade left. I buy from them as a last resort due to the shit packaging. It's awful compared to the sturdy boxes with load of tissue that Selfridges send out.

Having told all the internet how much I hate niche perfume, I have just got my JL Le Labo freebie and unfortunately I love it 🙀

I'm not at all convinced about mine. It took me about 3 attempts to get the payment to work.

@Fillybuster that was me! Strange that similar samples were so close together for us both! Anyway, I am on a weekend away with DH and have done a lot of in person beauty shopping so I’m going to hold off on another JL order until nearer the 20th (and might even get clothes or something instead!!)

I think a couple of advents had Le Labo last year. Maybe JL and HN beauty calendars.

HN main beauty advent had Le Labo Eucalyptus 20 and John Lewis had Le Noir 29 - both the 15ml last year.

Yes that looks like the one.

Edit to add - it is one of the stronger colours so you might want to go in lightly first.
