Sorry everyone! I didn't realise how near the end of the old thread we were.

What on earth have you all done with yourselves for the last few hours? 😂

As always everyone welcome to join in and hopefully this is the thread we see the first 'big' BAC reveal. 😍

I’ve just bought a Kerastase Genesis shampoo (250ml), conditioner (200ml) and serum (90ml) bundle from FTF for £73. My hair fall has wildly accelerated in recent months (meno and weight loss) so fingers crossed it works

@MrsBnow12 I forgot about jumping meteorites! I used this to my advantage though and would sometimes select individual balls and crush them to create highlight, eyeshadow, blush. Happy memories- can’t wait to receive them now 🥰.

Can you tell it’s payday 🙈😂

Thanks very much @OvaHerethat is extremely useful.
I have both the compact and pearl Meterorites and the compact seems to do the same as the Givenchy so doubt I need both. Like you I have an abundance of powders and use my Laura Mercier the most.
I will keep my eye out for the Elf as aldo want to try their soft glam bronzer and blushes.

It might be rather unbelievable but I've not managed to try Laura Mercier yet. I was eyeing the ultra blurring one in Boots the other week. I did once get a travel size in a CB make up gwp but I sold the whole bag to offset my purchase at the time.

I know it's highly rated so I do need to remedy this at some point. 😂

@IlovePond I did make up some of my £100 spend from a brand that wasn't from the feautured ones, but I think that was allowed? The passport says "shop any featured brand to claim your deluxe samples" -so you had to buy one item from the featured brands to get those. And then for the other bag it says "Spend £100 to collect a stamp and redeem your Hbeauty GWP tote"( worth £200+) so I thought that meant the £100 spend wasn't specifically from any brand at all. So for instance if I'd spent £100 on Chanel I'd still have got the tote part of the gift, provided I had my fully-stamped passport. I think only the first bag was tied to the specific brands, which also explains why there were repeats of some items acrooss the bags - they weren't necessarily expecting people to end up with both GWP's.

They need to consult with us on here before they do the events.
Our fee could be paid in freebies. Im sure we could run these events. They'd be amazing 🤩

Ive never been to Harrods or London but I would expect Harrods to be the most well organised if running an event closely followed by Liberty.
Im going to try and go to some john lewis events in the future. There was an elemis one the other week which looked but couldn't get there. X

BakeOffRewatch · 29/06/2026 11:01

@OvaHere what does “hard panned” mean? I suspect I may have done this to a blusher I have. There’s definitely still product there but the brush doesn’t pick it up like before.

@Doglover73 harrods is disorganised full stop, just going in the shop even. Left hand doesn’t know right hand etc

Usually it's when oil is transferred from the brush to the product and creates a hard top layer. Some products seem more prone to it than others. You can scrape off the top layer or use sticky tape to remove. It tends to come back though.

I really dislike the Harrods beauty hall- the layout is difficult to navigate. I much prefer a h beauty.
I do love Liberty visit - I’d recommend 😊

LightandBreezy · 29/06/2026 12:06

@JoRaRaRa you just have to visit their cabana stall, no purchase required to get stamped, in fact it wasn't possible to buy anything at the actual beach club, there were no tills and the stock came directly from the brands so wasn't available to buy. You were given a little menu type thing to write down your wishlist so you could then grab the stuff from the actual store afterwards.
Brands in photo.

Has anyone tried Prequel products, specifically the gleanser and the half and half? I was planning to wait until they launched in spacenk in July, but I've just seen on a Caroline Hirons video that the prices are £40 each for full size! They're cheaper on glow trend at the moment and I can get the remedy vitamin c there too 🤔

Hicupping · 29/06/2026 13:20

The Gleanser is $18 for 400ml in America!

I'm interested in trying them but if they're quite expensive I'll probably hang on and see if they show up in their advent calendar or an edit. Even if just in a travel size. I'd like to try the gleanser but I have plenty of cleansers to use up whilst I wait. Maybe they'll do sample sachets at checkout at some point too.

Thanks @namechange0998776554799000 and @SummerLimes for making me feel a bit better about buying the Genesis shampoo, (so expensive!) I shall report back once I start using it. (I am planning on waiting until I start the Genesis serum again - probably around September.) I will look out for an offer on the conditioner between now and then so I can try them all together!

@LightandBreezy - the SDJ bag offer was hiding on the short end of the SDJ shelf unit. It was to ‘pick and mix’ four minis and then you got the bag. Not exactly a bargain at £40 but there was 10% off. I was also happy that I got to pick my favourite bits from SDJ.

It seems to be an H Beauty exclusive as it’s not on the Harrods website. The bag, (branded Harrods as well as SDJ), is one of those flat lay types and is nylon, so is perfect for taking toiletries on holiday. It’s also pretty big, so will come in very handy.

Thanks to whoever mentioned the Elemis cleansing balm in the JL rewards the other day. I always forget to check mine as I don't usually get anything good. I just paid the p&p and its turned up today. I had a free sample before and liked it so I'm happy to be able to try it for longer.

I realised this morning I’ve got five cleansers open in the shower. Please tell me I’m not alone!

Addictedtobeauty · 29/06/2026 20:48

I have open: a cleansing oil, a cream cleanser, a balm cleanser a foaming cleanser and an exfoliating cleanser. Five cleansers. Standard 😁

user593 · 29/06/2026 20:51

I have three foaming cleansers, a cleansing oil and an exfoliating cleanser. To be fair to me, one of the foaming cleansers is technically DP’s and the other was sent to me for free to review but I still feel overwhelmed by all the cleansers!

CorneliaStreet · 29/06/2026 21:04

I’ve got three cleansers in the shower and two next to the sink, so five for me too.

My shower also has four shampoo/conditioner sets, three body scrubs and ten shower gels so it’s pretty cluttered in there 😆

Current cleansers:

Dermatological gentle cleanser that @BakeOffRewatch recommended (love it!!).
TIMY balm (Like but not as much as Elemis)
No 7 prime (average).
A mini Eve Lom balm (always happy to see in an edit).
Super facialist cleansing oil (Like).

I think there’s a need for a variety 😊

TragicMuse · 29/06/2026 21:27

Re powder, I have an elderly loose powder from Boots which I sometimes use. But I recently saw an insta saying that overall powder is old hat!

So now I’m quite confused about how to use powder!

SummerLimes · 29/06/2026 21:38

And I’ve just found another - la prairie 😳

not loving it - stingy if gets too near eyes.

I stopped using powder for a couple of years, I think it’s fallen out of favour. I also had an old Laura Mercier loose powder and it was just too much. I’ve been using the Ilia pressed powder more recently and I really like it. It’s really subtle. I think perhaps the formulas coming out now work better for that glowy skin look (ie not too heavy or mattifying).

I chucked my La Prairie. Think it was from an advent. Made my skin too sqicky and also stung my eyes.

BurningTheToast · 29/06/2026 21:52

On the subject of cleansers, I only have one open in the shower - an Estee Lauder 'Nuritious' foaming one that was a ten pound Tuesday offer at Boots. I like it although I'm not sure it's any better or worse than a lot of its ilk.

By the basin it's a lot less restrained... Open, I have a mini Eve Lom oil (good but not as nice as Votary), an Allies of Skin one (bit drying, might ditch), Emma Hardie's light gel one, an Emma Hardie balm, Liz Earle's Cleanse and Glow (meh - it's okay) and I've just cracked open an Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm that I picked up in TK Maxx and forgot I had - goodnesss, I'd forgotten how lovely that is!

Definitely need to adopt and one-in-one-out on those because I have so many more in my stash inc the mini Elemis from John Lewis that arrived today.

I have a few pots of Bourjois Rice Powder, I haven’t used it for ages but it’s too nostalgic & familiar to throw away. It’s excellent for mopping up shine.

Hicupping · 29/06/2026 22:30

I really like the morphe cloudlight iirc it's a compact, and some how it doesn't look to shiny but also not matt that magic just right. I use a brush to put it on.
