Sorry everyone! I didn't realise how near the end of the old thread we were.

What on earth have you all done with yourselves for the last few hours? 😂

As always everyone welcome to join in and hopefully this is the thread we see the first 'big' BAC reveal. 😍

Those who have the Givenchy prism libre - do you use the loose or pressed powder? I’m considering taking the plunge while there’s some discounts floating around.
Also, I have fair skin which can be red at times, so presume the 01 is best?

I am not sure if Escentual is on your list but they have a few shades discounted and the code takes the price to £22 each

This is the article

Thanks for sharing this. I bought a load of the rice masks on my trip to Japan. They’re amazing! The Suqqu came in a Liberty box and I loved that too. The biore sun cream is also great! Love the idea of you keeping your products to try for a decent period!

Sorry thought I had added it - it’s ESCENTUAL25

Addictedtobeauty · 28/06/2026 20:36

Oh Dilemma! Do I buy Guerlain meteorites (old favourite) for £30 or try Givenchy prism libre for £24? Has anyone tried both?

Addictedtobeauty · 28/06/2026 20:44

I bought both 🙈. Will do a comparison when they arrive!

I was hoping someone could help as I have meteorites and have the Givenchy in my basket and deciding do I need them and if so what else do I need to get free postage x

IlovePond · 28/06/2026 21:01

Now if I tried to sell that GWP for £100, I would either get no interest at all or someone would offer me £15, then complain they disliked the products.

DSis, however, would probably get £120 for it!

I never understand where I go wrong with my listings 🤷‍♀️

LightandBreezy · 28/06/2026 21:42

@IlovePond I did make up some of my £100 spend from a brand that wasn't from the feautured ones, but I think that was allowed? The passport says "shop any featured brand to claim your deluxe samples" -so you had to buy one item from the featured brands to get those. And then for the other bag it says "Spend £100 to collect a stamp and redeem your Hbeauty GWP tote"( worth £200+) so I thought that meant the £100 spend wasn't specifically from any brand at all. So for instance if I'd spent £100 on Chanel I'd still have got the tote part of the gift, provided I had my fully-stamped passport. I think only the first bag was tied to the specific brands, which also explains why there were repeats of some items acrooss the bags - they weren't necessarily expecting people to end up with both GWP's.

LightandBreezy · 28/06/2026 21:46

With regards to the GWP I'd be really surprised if anyone managed to sell it on for £100, or if that's normal I'm definitely doing something wrong with my listings too!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 28/06/2026 22:03

@MrsBnow12 I haven't tried Givenchy Prism Libre but I've used Guerlain Les Meteorites for years.
They give you a satin like airbrushed lit from within glow.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 28/06/2026 22:07

Also @OvaHere is great as she sent me a lovely bundle of Bibbi perfumes including my beloved Swimming Pool
She really is lovely!

I have a travel size loose powder and the full sized pressed powder in the Givenchy (green/lilac) plus the Meteorites pearls. Also have the elf Givenchy dupe (green/lilac)

I'm not a fan of the Givenchy pressed powder. I'm not sure if i've hard panned it but I feel like I can't pick much up. I prefer the loose powder but the travel size is a bit awkward to use.

I quite like the elf dupe as it's a more practical size but I've only had it a week so my final thoughts are not in.

The Meteorites pearls seem more like a finishing powder than a setting powder. When I set my vanity up I'm going to have them on display so I use them more. I don't have the new pressed version so not sure if that differs.

I've accumulated quite a few powders through edits or just buying stuff in search of the right one. If I remember once I've set up my drawers in a few weeks I'll do a ranking post.

Going by what I reach for most my favourites are Huda/Fenty for loose powder and Morphe/Charlotte Tilbury in pressed.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that I can mix it up a bit @IlovePond

I had read it the same way as @LightandBreezy that the £100 could be anything. I'll report back in a fortnight.

IlovePond · 28/06/2026 22:19

Yes @LightandBreezy - I got told the wrong information. The women at the beach club didn’t really seem to know what was going on when I asked about the qualifying £100 spend and they said it all had to be from the sponsored brands. I should have asked again in H beauty itself.

I would have also been a lot quicker as a lot of the time I spent in H Beauty was me wondering what, if anything, I wanted, (apart from the CT blush!)

Oh well, I have been wanting to try that Kerastase Genesis shampoo for a while but I would rather have bought the EL gift set that was heavily reduced got the same money. Plus, that SdJ haul was super expensive for what it was, (although I did get a good-sized special edition bag chucked in for free!)

I’m pleased with the CT blush, though.

I am going to keep one of those SdJ sprays in my bag so they will come in handy.

I'm glad you'll get to enjoy them. Better than languishing unloved on my shelves. 😍

@Cyclingmummy1 - I am sure that @LightandBreezy is right - I was told the wrong information about the big GWP when I asked. I should have checked again.

It’s my fault though, that I didn’t realise that you only had to buy one of the target brands to get all the freebies in the small bag 😿

LightandBreezy · 28/06/2026 22:45

@IlovePond It's annoying you were told the wrong information by the pop-up assistants! Bit rude of me to say seeing as I've just had a bunch of freebies off them but I do feel like shopping at Harrods/ HBeauty is always a bit disorganised, difficult or confusing in some way - but as I've complained about the advent calendar early release palaver for nearly a year now I'm clearly still salty about that 😂That shampoo is the same range as the serum I wanted, I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts on it once you've tried it out. I didn't even see that in the store, nor did I see the nice bag from SDJ you got.

I really rate the Genesis shampoo - I hope you’ll love it.

I love the genesis shampoo too. Was planning to switch to something cheaper but it's so good I didn't want to be without. You can get refills relatively cheaply often on offer at LF.

I'm not sure whether it helps with hair fall on its own (the serum definitely does), but it smells lovely and leaves my hair looking & feeling great. I use the matching conditioner too

Thanks very much @OvaHerethat is extremely useful.
I have both the compact and pearl Meterorites and the compact seems to do the same as the Givenchy so doubt I need both. Like you I have an abundance of powders and use my Laura Mercier the most.
I will keep my eye out for the Elf as aldo want to try their soft glam bronzer and blushes.

Beautyfox · 29/06/2026 08:12

@namechange0998776554799000 which serum is it that helps? Is it the GENESIS ANTI HAIR-FALL FORTIFYING SERUM? I’d like to try it but don’t want to order the wrong thing.

Yes that's it. It's excellent but you can only use it for 6 weeks once or twice a year

JoRaRaRa · 29/06/2026 08:14

@LightandBreezy do you need to buy something from all the brands to get your 'passport' stamped, or do you just need to visit. And what were the brands please?

I'm a powder fan (have to be careful who I say that in front of!)

I've tried a few of them, meteorites annoys me as when I put the brush in the pot the little pearls always jump out and want to escape.

Tried Huda, Fenty and CT

For me the holy grail is givenchy prisme libre - loose. Although I have heard they changed formula to remove talc and the new formula isn't as good, not sure if I've been using the old or the new as although I have purchased recently it could be old stock.
