@OftenOrange I absolutely adore mine and wear it frequently in the summer. It’s such an easy garment.

@ScottishMouse I have the same dress in my basket and am umming about it. I’d like a new sleeveless loose dress for my holiday wardrobe, which is a capsule of blue/ white/cream and pink. Also very tempted by the Emma Carlow skirt. I guess I should at least order the skirt in case it sells out!

My longer-term challenge is that I have a wedding in October and have no clue what to wear. My shape and hair have changed so much since cancer treatment that nothing I previously had for such occasions fits or suits. That’ll be for the autumn Toast gods to sort.

MsDastardley · 12/06/2026 12:49

I’m disappointed with my latest order. The twisted seam jeans are not for me. The fabric is a heavier weight than I expected, thicker than the denim jeans I’m wearing today. The balloon leg is exaggerated, much wider than they look on the model. Side buttons hard to fasten and buttonhole finish rough.

The linen stripe jumper is ok, but doesn’t really go with anything I have. The colour wasn’t quite as nice as on website

I like the maypole Alda tee, keeping that.

Not made up mind about chambray dress. Wasn’t sure if it was giving hospital gown vibes. Would look better after a good iron. I think I’ve already got much nicer sleeveless dresses, and the weather is so awful may not get much wear out of it. I got the green Aila last week and it’s much nicer.

The Brora sale usually starts at the end of this month. There’s a few things I have my eye on, not as much as usual though as finding them repetitive recently. Might manage to save some money this month!

ScottishMouse · 12/06/2026 12:54

That is disappointing indeed @MsDastardley I posted back quite a few things this morning from my last few orders. Nothing was quite right enough. Included in that was the chambray dress. I know what you mean about hospital vibes. I used to have a shirt dress in the same fabric and always felt it gave nurse vibes.

IlovePond · 12/06/2026 13:00

I was just thinking - if Toast follow last year’s schedule, the sale ‘should’ start sometime next week 🤞

I think Tuesday for kindred and Thursday for everyone based on last few years @IlovePond. There is really nothing I want, though I hope to see some homeware and nightwear.

ScallopShellWalk · 12/06/2026 13:19

Just watched the June live. My favourite item was the men’s mauve jacket. I really like these dark pinks. The Green linen dress looked good but it’s not for me.

ScallopShellWalk · 12/06/2026 13:20

I hope to get a pair of linen trousers in the sale. A bandana too would be nice.

MiracleToast · 12/06/2026 13:31

@ScallopShellWalk absolutely gorgeous colour with the browns too. I wish the women’s linen set in dusty rose was in the mauve pink-stunner! Haven’t tried menswear before but that last outfit was dreamy.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 12/06/2026 13:36

@ScallopShellWalk me too, that men’s jacket was lovely. Unfortunately it didn’t make me want to buy any of the women’s clothes and I’m even regretting ordering the twisted seam jeans now.

IlovePond · 12/06/2026 14:34

Nightwear would be nice @ScottishMouse!

I wonder if a men’s jacket would fit me? 😁 I’m going to try if I get a chance.

MsDastardley · 12/06/2026 15:02

@Theteapotsbrokenspout I hope the jeans work better for you than they did for me! I don’t have a full length mirror or would have taken a photo.

@ScottishMouse thanks, you’ve helped me make my mind up, the dress is going back. At the high price we should only keep if they bring delight from first try on!

triggers34 · 12/06/2026 15:22

@OftenOrange I was in Edinburgh earlier in the week and tried the linen cotton box pleat on in slate . I’m 5 ft 2 and a normal 14 , I grabbed the size S which was fine . Elasticated waist stretched to the max though ! It’s lovely but a bit pricey for me - I’ll definitely look for it when it eventually goes in the sale - maybe next year . It was really flattering and not too long . The price put me off , I moved onto other shops but everything was meh and I can’t stop thinking about it!

CakeAndJazz · 12/06/2026 15:25

Could anyone please post a working link the the live here? I can seem to access it

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 12/06/2026 17:55

@CakeAndJazz It seems to have disappeared, I don’t know if this will work:

mizu · 12/06/2026 18:19

@MsDastardley I agree about the twisted seam jeans. Look super on the model but not good on me. The legs were definitely much wider than they looked on the website.

MsDastardley · 12/06/2026 18:44

@mizu I looked like I’d run away from clown school!

Edited

Thanks so much @Theteapotsbrokenspout that worked for me

ToastCosILoveIt · 12/06/2026 19:24

I enjoyed the Toast Live and agree, that men's dusty pink jacket is divine. I wonder if I could get DH into it. I also liked Karlmond very much, he looked great in the clothes and I liked his narrative.

Luckily for me and my bank account I don't like much of the new drop, the colour palette isn't good for me and there doesn't seem to be anything 'new' enough to tempt me.

@Bimblesalong , feeling your challenge about clothes post cancer and changes to body. I am five years out myself from diagnosis and surgery and in fact have my final check in with my consultant next Friday. I hope something with Toast's increasingly vast collection can tick all of your boxes.

@MsDastardley , I sent those ecru twisted jeans back a few months ago for the same reason. Your comment about clown school is spot on and made me laugh. I am a fan of an exaggerated leg etc but they were too much even for me. I have the dark denim version from last year and they are perfection. Even DH comments on how nice they are when I wear them, super flattering too.

NettleTea · 12/06/2026 19:29

I have a couple of mens reworn jumpers which are lush, great colours too. I love that kind of golden ochre colour they do.

OhThePotential · 12/06/2026 22:33

Thank you @Theteapotsbrokenspout , I really enjoyed the live. The red outfit Charlie started out in was lovely but £600 is far more than I’d spend on a summer two piece set.

The pink set was lovely as well but I don’t know if the pink would be bright enough, a really washed out or beige pink is awful on me.

OftenOrange · 13/06/2026 09:11

@Theteapotsbrokenspout Also thanks for the Live link, for some reason the events or whatever route wasn’t available on the site.
Like everyone I really liked these presenters , they spoke clearly and intelligently without resorting to lovely lovely . The men’s mauve jacket 💜
Not my best colour nowadays otherwise would be tempted to try.

Whatever Toast say about layering up the women dresses and shirts with a knit , I don’t ever feel that looks good , and big billowy sleeves prevent anyway, whereas the men collection is well thought through for teaming jackets in cooler weather.
I’d like to see more considered looking co ord / trouser suits in plain indigo or grey cotton & linen for women more along the aesthetic and fit of the mens’ collex …… alongside and not replacing the existing aesthetic we all love.
And not with cropped trousers please!

OftenOrange · 13/06/2026 09:28

Just a shout out for JW Anderson jeans at Uniglo
After years of wearing Toast Annie I ordered the JW A straight legs after seeing them on a friend , and the fit is great plus I think they look really contemporary without going down the barrel leg route . They come in various leg lengths.
I sized down 2 sizes and in the medium wash should have gone down 3 , so worth doing the Toast style order of 3 different sizes !

Bimblesalong · 13/06/2026 09:42

Another thanks for the link. Considered reporting, thoughtful presenters.

I’ve ordered the Page ecru sleeveless dress and matching shirt to try on. Could work well for my travel wardrobe. I’ve also ordered the Emma Carlow skirt, which I hope will be a keeper. I’m using their Harper service for the first time, which looks a good idea for avoiding refund delays.

Toast is pretty fast for refunds. I had previously bought a great pair of boots with Ecco - online as they’ve shut all the local stores. They weren’t right and the refund took weeks. Apparently they are returned to a warehouse in Poland. Mine got lost and it became a palaver.

MiracleToast · 13/06/2026 13:14

Absolutely agree @OftenOrange id love to see more suits like this in range of fabrics, linens for summers and wools for winter. It’s exactly what I’m trying to curate my wardrobe to be, and actually incredibly difficult to find in good natural materials. And yes—needs to be full length trousers!!
