I have been somewhat MIA on the last thread due to a crazy period in my personal life and adding in funds are low and not much taking my fancy.
However 1 am quite excited by the new drop and therefore might have to get selling the pile of unworn Toast items I seem to have accumulated!

I’ve forgotten when we thought the sale would start. Can someone please remind me. Getting excited about it but not sure why really. I only want a pair of linen trousers, maybe an scarf. There’s a dress or two I like but I hope I don’t go mad. Can only wear so much. 😂

I think people said early access for Kindred might be Wednesday 17th June with sale proper starting Thursday 18th???

I bought something from sale on 17th June last year. I can’t remember sale starting on Tuesday though so maybe that wasn’t first day

It was 17/6 for me as well @MsDastardley

On a separate note:
What’s with the big, squashy silver ball? Have Toast marketing being watching old episodes The Prisoner? 😹

Also 17/6 for me last year and I'm pretty sure that was the first day (Never been known not to make a first day order....or several!). I'm Kindred to if that helps so usually go in through the early access.

Im enjoying the chat of new drop and prospect of a sale , though shan’t be able to partake as I’m in France for a while.
I don’t feel very wowed by the new drop as I don’t buy flowery things often , and the red white blue combos aren’t good for me either. I’m still loving my older Toast Summer wardrobe here anyway, most of which is still feeling fresh .
Really looking forward to hearing about everyone’s take on the drop and sale purchases!

I let the blue diamond trousers get away and the blue/white striped shirt. Ditto the brown/cream dress and also the top version. (Is yours the top?) I sent them back and then wished I hadn’t.

DSis has the pale blue top and I think the white check and the white shirts.

I wish Toast were still doing such good quality AND lovely stuff!

Went to try on the chambray Martha dress at lunchtime, and left without it because yet again, the quality of the sewing was shocking. I tried on two sizes - on one the channel at the front that holds the waist tie was completely lopsided, almost two inches lower on one end than the other, and on the other one the armhole was considerably deeper cut on one side than the other - I could see no bra on one side and a lot of bra on the other, and I promise it is not me who is lopsided. I would have bought it had it been right, but now I am not sure if I can even be bothered ordering it online. What is happening Toast???

That is shocking @ScottishMouse. The wonky armhole situation is something I have come across many times at Toast. They just don’t seem to do any quality control.

It’s really ridiculous at their prices @IlovePond, and is happening with just about everything I have tried in the last 6 months or so. It’s really putting me off bothering anymore, maybe I should stick to pre-loved items from the days when quality control was better.

Completely agree @ScottishMouse - if I try on a dress in M&S I can pretty much guarantee that the armholes, pockets, neckline, etc. will be all as they should be. I would be amazed by anything less - yet it’s par for the course nowadays at Toast that bits will be wonky 🙀

It beggars belief - especially at the prices they charge - that Toast can’t exercise the same level of quality control as the high street retailers!

@ScottishMouse thats awful. I’m really shocked. ☹️ I’m def going to look harder at things full price before I buy now.

@ScottishMouse The Martha dress is the one thing I love in this drop , love the simplicity while it still has the je ne sais quoi twist Toast do so well.
Just a shame to hear of defective workmanship though.

It is lovely @OftenOrange and I am very tempted to give it another go by ordering online and crossing my fingers.

Oooh @OftenOrange that dress sits on you so beautifully! And far left in your wonderfully stuffed wardrobe (I’m so glad to see I’m not alone in this) is a toast item I always want to find on vinted/second hand, the yellow check one with the opened back? Is it called rowan? I’m sure I tried it on at the time and the back part wasn’t right on me but clearly I don’t trust my previous opinions as it’s on my list!
