I reordered the chambray Martha dress and used the Harper service to order two sizes and two of each size given the issues with the ones In store. One of each size luckily seems to be all sewn evenly, so I will keep it, but I need to decide which size. The 12 fits neatly on top but I worry it will pull a little or dig in around the armpits, the 14 gives a looser look but the arm holes are maybe a little too deep. My bust and arms are the part I am least fond of/most aware of so the 14 feels more comfortable but maybe the 12 looks better. Decisions decisions.
I also tried the box pleat cotton linen skirt but it arrived so unbelievably creased that it completely put me off and I can’t really tell what it should look like.
And the brown stripe Alda T-shirt is very nice, kind of retro looking colours, but I think they might be too much for my complexion. I have never wanted my colours done, but I learned recently from a stylist I know that my combo of pale skin, short grey hair and light coloured glasses means that pale colours provide no contrast, patterns (including stripes/checks) overwhelm my face unless subtle and in the colours that suit me, and that the blacks/navys/charcoals that I am drawn to for my top half are exactly what I should be wearing. I always thought I was just playing it safe. Very interesting insights, but does that mean the lovely new red scarf is a step too far for me, I wonder.

Im on mounjaro (I have lymphodema and it was recommended for the inflammation which has been unbelievable) so Im dropping back into my older Toast clothes, so this may prove useful for destashing as I drop sizes too

Does anyone like either of the new red blouses? They have caught my eye. They look a bit wide though.

I like both. My favourite is the hand woven one. Both quite loose fitting.

@mizu i have those trousers they came in orange and green at the time. I think they are about 3/4 years old. I find them fine on the waist but big on the bum, reflective of my shape really. They are rather casual, I wouldn’t wear them to work. I really like them.

@Yorkshirelass04 the embroidered one is the same shape as the navy seersucker top from the last drop, in case you have tried that. I have bought the red scarf, I’m don’t wear red much so the tops and skirt were too much for me, but they are beautiful.

Not really caught anything in new drop so think will wait for the sale

Nothing in the new drop for me but I'm heavily over catered for summer clothes anyway so probably for the best. I have nothing on my wish list for potential June sale but can always be tempted. Hopefully will be more home stuff this time.

I can recommend the Wool Cashmere Large Bandana if it goes in the sale - a useful size.

@Stoic123 i have almost bought the wool cashmere bandana so many times but the potential pilling puts me off. I feel like with lots of wear and use it would pill terribly, as some of my other wool cashmere items take a lot of de-pilling to keep them looking good. Which colour do you have and what is the pilling situation like?

The Lore set was disappointing
Nice dark chocolate but the fabric is the same weight used for nightwear, far too thin for day wear imho and I felt like I was wearing pyjamas due to shape of the top, which is in fact called the Lore pyjama top !
Culottes are wide and the waist very small

I didnt hate it but its not the type of thing I would wear .
Im a crisp poplin type of gal in summer, I fear this would wilt in the heat

Which brings me onto the Emma Carlow Paper Cutout Print sleeveless cotton top , not quite poplin but nice and crisp
I loved this, its the same design from a few years back with a tie at the back neck, cut so it sits nicely on the edge of my shoulder and doesnt catch the bust or show my bra.
The fabric and print is beautiful

Stunning, absolutely perfect balance of colour and print
I have the Table setting dress and its the same design.

Now pondering the matching Emma Carlow skirt or the cream box pleat skirt
I love the waist detail on the back of box pleat.
Ive seen this detail on the Uniqlo Cecilie Bahnsen collection but sadly its polyester and sold out

@Kinfluencer thank you for the thoughts on some of the new drop. I think I too would be less interested in the lore outfit. I thought it looked nice online but after what you say, I really am not interested anymore.

The back of that box pleat skirt does look lovely. The skirt looks lovely. I’m not going to consider a skirt right now. Trousers are my aim. I think I’ll live in hope for something in the sale. Preferably linen.
I bought reworn black linen jumpsuit that will need taking up but I imagine I’ll enjoy wearing that. I’ll get on with that tomorrow.

Hello - occasional contributor here - I love the look of the flowery culottes but I reckon they’re not going to be in the sale as they just dropped. Also worries they might overwhelm me.

Pills a little but less than the Wool Cashmere jumpers- I have a defluffer/shaver in case. I got the navy one. I wear so it looks a bit like I've got a jumper tied round my neck (but without the bulk).

ScottishMouse I share your concerns about pilling. I have two cashmere bandanas from Rise and Fall and they definitely don't have this problem, I highly recommend them. Worth taking a look perhaps as an alternative?

Just for anyone interested in the Lore culottes
Ive posted a picture of the reverse of the fabric, the pinky hue is my fingers showing through.
Others might not mind such a lightweight fabric but Im an active person and could imagine ripping them.

I keep looking at the new page check dress and matching shirt and thinking how beautiful and classic it looks on the model. It would look terrible on pale pinkish toned skin with grey hair, wouldn’t it?
