@BettinaInDenmark - my normal size too, and I don't have narrow feet.

ShadowViolet · 26/06/2026 13:50

I thought I was done with the sale, but those cotton twill belted trousers reeled me back in!

I’m not sure about the pockets either (or if they’ll fit me full stop) but I’ve ordered some just in case….gone for the smoke colour way

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 26/06/2026 13:58

Me too @ShadowViolet although I did dither about the size, went for my normal 12 in the end.
I ordered the Bolster stripe culottes as well last night 🤦‍♀️ .

IlovePond · 26/06/2026 14:25

My Reworn order has arrived.

T- shirt - going back - genuinely don’t know what I was thinking!

Very strange and heavy tiered skirt that must be really old stock as I don’t remember it at all. It’s nice but has a crinoline effect going on and even I - who doesn’t actually own an iron - think it needs ironing! As I am not about to take up ironing at this stage in life, it’s going back!

Thinking about:

Landscape dress - long-time posters may remember I sent a really faulty one of these dresses back when first on sale. I still like it, but DH and DSis say it looks like a tent. It’s also a bit bobbled.

Check dress - optimistically ordered in small. I really like this, but I would have to wear it with a tank top as the buttons gape. DH says the colour suits me but I do know it is too small 😿

Blue linen dress - ok - nothing special and £70 for a Reworn dress seems daft. Tbf, it looks new, but even so. DH says it looks like a sack, which is not encouraging 🙀

OP posts:
ScallopShellWalk · 26/06/2026 14:34

@IlovePond oh no! That’s not so encouraging.
I sent back the towelling hat as there was a cheaper one on reworn but I’ve sent it back too, today. It was much much wider and looked a bit sadder. I’m wondering if this hat stretches and doesn’t wear well. I’m glad tho. Prob didn’t really want either.
What is the linen dress that looks like a sack? I have a navy easy linen dress I got on reworn and is now also in the sale, slightly tulip shaped. I kind of think it looks like a sack but I really like it and so comfy.

mizu · 26/06/2026 14:53

@IlovePond@ScallopShellWalk oh dear! Im still waiting for my Reworn order, apparently arriving today…….

IlovePond · 26/06/2026 14:54

Hi @ScallopShellWalk - I thought that hat was cute but towelling does stretch, so it was a weird choice of material for a hat!

I don’t know the style name of the linen sleeveless shift dress but its colour is Bilberry. It’s a tiny bit snug under the arms and across the chest, but I think it might prove quite useful. I don’t usually wear that length of dress but could probably make it work.

The landscape dress fits the best - basically it fits like it’s supposed to, but it isn’t that flattering, tbf and not in perfect condition.

BTW: I’m not feeling brave enough to post the pics of me wearing these items, given the f/back I have received from DH and DSis, so you will all have to imagine me prancing around tent-like, trying clothes on in 34 degree heat 🙀😹

OP posts:
IlovePond · 26/06/2026 14:58

Hi @mizu - did you order anything exciting?

I was impressed by the huge amount of stuff on Reworn this week -I could have ordered lots more, but restrained myself.

OP posts:
mizu · 26/06/2026 15:08

@IlovePond patch pocket denim dungarees. Not sure I can bear trying them on!

IlovePond · 26/06/2026 15:11

I like those @mizu - maybe try them tonight when it’s a bit cooler rather than what I have just done 😹

OP posts:
CakeAndJazz · 26/06/2026 15:26

Ah I’m sorry @IlovePond that’s disappointing.

Hope your patch pockets work out @mizu.

I’ve not tried my Reworn cardigan on but I opened it and had a look. It looks unworn, but I’m wondering about the stitching on the neckline…add a pic to show as it’s hard to describe. @ScallopShellWalk does the
neckline on yours have these little stitches that look like that? Why does it even have stitches that loop/stick up like that? Seems really odd, and am thinking it might be obvious even when on.

Toasties looking forward to sun, summer and sales ☀️
IlovePond · 26/06/2026 15:46

Thanks @CakeAndJazz

Those stitches do look a bit faulty to me, but perhaps it’s because it’s a close up picture. Maybe they won’t be noticeable once on.

It’s a lovely colour.

Kate Sheridan has further reductions on clothing and bags in her sale.

OP posts:
ScallopShellWalk · 26/06/2026 15:53

@CakeAndJazz I don’t see that on mine. Is it and easy fix? Have they just been pulled, stretched or been loose for some reason and can massage back into place?

Toasties looking forward to sun, summer and sales ☀️
Theteapotsbrokenspout · 26/06/2026 16:26

My reworn Blundstone lugs arrived, I fulled expected them to be too big after looking at the reviews, but I 'think' they fit ok. I need to wait until my feet have recovered from the heat and try them with my walking socks.

I bought the towelling hat in the sale @ScallopShellWalk . I thought it was an odd choice for hat material, far too hot currently. But I think it will be useful for dog walking or gardening later in the year. I do love a hat though.

Shame about your reworn order @IlovePond , you always seem to do better at the sample sales.

ScallopShellWalk · 26/06/2026 17:37

@Theteapotsbrokenspout I love a hat. I hardly ever get it right though. I liked this towelling one. The reworn one though is 61cm so it’s gone from 57cm. For me I’d have worked it hard and it’d be going in and out of bags, I realise it won’t take that. I hope you enjoy yours and it’s serves you well. It’s nice. I’ll have to find another.

ShadowViolet · 26/06/2026 17:40

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 26/06/2026 13:58

Me too @ShadowViolet although I did dither about the size, went for my normal 12 in the end.
I ordered the Bolster stripe culottes as well last night 🤦‍♀️ .

Oh, I've just noticed that the reviews mention sizing down and Toast's size recommendation is also a size smaller than usual 🤔Now I'm torn about buying the smaller size as well, just in case

Good thing Toast just refunded my returns from earlier this week!

mizu · 26/06/2026 17:44

@ScallopShellWalk dungarees arrived, I tried on in the heat and they are a bit snug around top of thighs. Perfectly wearable and they might stretch but I'm so used to and like wearing things looser, I think I'm going to send them back 😔

I probably need a 12 for them to be a comfortable fit.

They are brand new with tags too!

ScallopShellWalk · 26/06/2026 17:56

@ShadowViolet are you referring to the cotton twill belted trousers? I am wearing mine today. I got an 8 which is my usual size. Though sometimes I need to buy a 10 if the waist is neat. They are nice and roomy but not overly so.

ScallopShellWalk · 26/06/2026 17:58

@mizu thats a shame they were a but neat. Maybe a 12 will appear at some point.

faustina · 26/06/2026 18:15

@ShadowViolet I was very confused about the sizing too. Almost every review mentions sizing down, some by 2 sizes. I haven't ordered yet, but I think as @ScallopShellWalk is a guaranteed actual human I'll order a 6 which they recommend, and then a 4 in the unlikely event the 6 is too big. I am not a size 4.

Neither of my reworn orders have arrived, despite being supposed to arrive today. One is in Swansea and one in Cardiff, but I'm quite relieved as it was 37.3 here - hopefully it'll be cooler for the postwoman when they finally make it

ScallopShellWalk · 26/06/2026 18:29

@ShadowViolet @faustina I’m beginning to realise some reviewers just like things in a particular way. Maybe if they like it neater or roomier. When I’m trying on in the shop sometimes the shop assistants give me 2, even 3 sizes to try. I find that confusing but in all honesty I think my usual size is best.
I believe it also comes down to how it feels on.
I today received the wide leg ecru jeans in a 10, as that was all they had, and I love them. They are really baggy but I still like them. I think I should really be an 8, my usual size, so if I get the option to try I will, if not I’m keeping these. A lot of reviews said they sized down, some even sized up! So to size down is a 6 for me? Never! Sometimes an 8 is too tight on the waist.
In these twill belted trousers the waist is elasticated.

faustina · 26/06/2026 18:39

@ShadowViolet - I have those jeans on my Wishlist, and yes, at least the waist is elasticated on the twill trousers - fingers crossed!

I'm holding off my order until tomorrow morning in case they restock and a cord jacket reappears

Sorry wrong tagged the person about the jeans! @ScallopShellWalk

CakeAndJazz · 26/06/2026 18:55

@ScallopShellWalk that neckline looks infinitely neater. I tried to give the loops (there are about 6 ones) a gentle nudge, but they are not budging. I can still see them when on @IlovePond - they are quite noticeable, to my eye at least. I’ll have to return it which is a real shame, it’s a lovely item.

IlovePond · 26/06/2026 19:16

That’s a shame @CakeAndJazz - hopefully you can find another one.

That’s true @Theteapotsbrokenspout - I have found some very good things at the sample sales. Sadly, prices are going up at those as well, though!

I am leaning towards keeping the linen sleeveless dress but am going to try it on again tomorrow morning. Everything else is going back.
