Gosh I have a lot to catch up on - work has been so busy.

Just popped on to say I have had an email to say more lines added to the sale - but I cannot for the life of me see what has been added? Nothing to homeware - can anyone see any womenswear that's new to the sale?

ScallopShellWalk · 25/06/2026 15:29

@IlovePond that gave me a smile, you having to wear gift shop clothes.

Thank you for the salt wash thoughts. I have had a look into possibly reducing the transfer from indigo but it seems the indigo sits on the cotton, it’ll keep rubbing off.

ScallopShellWalk · 25/06/2026 15:33

@AmethystMoonShine
stoic123 discovered if you filter by product you can see the new additions.

OrangeyLemon · 25/06/2026 16:29

@AmethystMoonShine I can’t see anything new either…

OftenOrange · 25/06/2026 16:38

@ScallopShellWalk I probably look best in simple monochrome non voluminous clothes as I’m quite small framed, but Toast oversized clothes in lovely fabrics and colours attract me like a moth to a flame !
I went out the other evening in ecru Annie jeans with that poplin black sleeveless bow front top from 2 or 3 yrs ago and got a few compliments. ( an increasingly rare occurrence!) I felt it suited me better than all the colourful stuff in my Summer wardrobe, and should really take heed .
Only things I really need are more Summer weight trousers but can never settle on any style in Toast except jeans……

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 25/06/2026 17:00

I think they’ve made a mess of the new additions, you can find them if you search in 'All' and then refine by product.

Whowhatwerewolf · 25/06/2026 17:46

Hello Toasties just wondering whether anyone has ordered the crockery dress please and if so what do you think of it? One thing that's putting me off is that so many of the reviewers are going to wear it to weddings but I'm needing a more everyday-type dress for going to brunch, work, etc. If you have this dress what occasions do you wear it for?

I love both the blue and the cinnamon but the blue might be more practical. Also sizing - I'm normally a size 10 but tempted to order an 8 because Toast clothes are usually so oversized.

faustina · 25/06/2026 17:50

It is quite hard to find what they've added, but I think one of the new things is the jacket @ScottishMouse really talked up, and then a red chore jacket, neither of which are what I'm looking for

Has anyone tried these trousers on?

I'm also looking for summerweight trousers @OftenOrange and wonder if these might do the trick (I dislike the belt but that would be an easy fix). Not sure about the pockets though

Saurus72 · 25/06/2026 18:18

@Whowhatwerewolf Yes, I have the blue crockery dress. I took my usual Toast dress size 12, when IRL I’m a curvy 14. It’s still pretty generous. I do like it - I think the comments re: weddings might stem from the fact that the fabric is a bit sheeny. I wear it casually though, with flat sandals and it’s comfy and airy. I was specifically looking for a maxi dress with short sleeves so this was perfect. i’m 5ft 6-ish and it’s a true maxi on me. Pockets as per usual with Toast dresses!

I would wear it to brunch - not a greasy spoon tho 😊 - but definitely wouldn’t wear it to work. I’d wear it for a day in the city/going to a gallery etc.

I had a gift voucher which helped ease the very high price…

Countmeout · 25/06/2026 18:23

I think there’s very little new in sale really . I bought the honey Lia t shirt which is a staple for me.

Whowhatwerewolf · 25/06/2026 18:35

Thank you so much @Saurus72 that's so helpful. Yes the very high price is why I'm still debating!

ScallopShellWalk · 25/06/2026 18:42

@faustina I have those twill trousers. I bought them full price. I really like them. The belt doesn’t bother me. The fabric feels cool to the touch but not sure how cool they’d be in the heat. I got an 8 and they fit well. Sometimes I have to get a 10 because some waists are really tight but this was good. The colour is a nice cool bone white. It goes with everything. I was tempted by the brown too but I think one pair is enough. I wanted a light bottom for summer.

faustina · 25/06/2026 19:10

@ScallopShellWalk - thank you very much. I think I might give them a go now! They're called twill but then in the fabric description they say poplin so I was slightly confused because poplin is shirt weight and twill is usually a bit heavier

I have a feeling it may be added to the sale as it’s been on the site for months. I bought mine in February!

ScallopShellWalk · 25/06/2026 19:46

@faustina they are a trouser material for sure.

ScallopShellWalk · 25/06/2026 20:47

@faustina though now thinking maybe more of a creamy colour.

faustina · 25/06/2026 20:49

I really like the colour!

PrincessofWills · 25/06/2026 20:50

Has anyone bought the Knitted Linen Cotton T Shirt Dress?

I'm very short on summer dresses and thought this might be a good throw on and go . . .

OftenOrange · 25/06/2026 22:41

@faustina Yes those trousers do look good , thank you for the link. I can’t order anything’s for three or four days and things in my basket keep disappearing. Hoping for a restock.
Consequent to the praise here I’m planning to try the Carys trousers in anthracite too.

ScottishMouse · 26/06/2026 06:37

I tried it @PrincessofWills but sent it back. I really liked it but I was looking for something for holidays and I think it would be a bit heavy for very hot weather. On me it was ankle
length at 5’2”, it was quite straight up and down but skimmed the body well in a size up (for me my normal size was a little too neat for comfort but would be fine for someone less conscious of their body). The colour is lovely too. My other worry though was that it would go baggy very quickly on the bum. So I guess I’m not overwhelmingly recommending it, but it definitely is a lovely dress.

AFingerofFudge · 26/06/2026 07:48

There’s a few things back in stock this morning- am going to order the market check set!

BettinaInDenmark · 26/06/2026 10:20

Any reviews on the sizing of the Vibae mules?
I want some, but am afraid of repeating my error of buying Fracap mules in my normal size, which turned out just a smidgeon too small...

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 26/06/2026 10:59

@BettinaInDenmark I bought them in my normal size, my feet are quite narrow.

BettinaInDenmark · 26/06/2026 11:10

Thanks for the answer. My problem is mostly if the length is shorter than normal, so I can probably go with my normal size.

Countmeout · 26/06/2026 12:00

I bought my normal size too @BettinaInDenmark . So comfortable.
