Thanks @clearsky in that case I will order 40 and 41 and skip ordering size 39!

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 22/06/2026 18:16

Thanks @faustina I've ordered a pair of Blundstone lug boots.

MsDastardley · 22/06/2026 18:40

Thanks @Countmeout the replacement should arrive on Wednesday so will let you know. I am worried that the armholes will be too big but wait and see. Good idea about the dress, I also have a navy linen dress.

faustina · 22/06/2026 18:52

@Theteapotsbrokenspout - I love my lug boots! Hope you like yours.

I've ordered a pair of Vibae mules which look unworn in the pic, and a dark moss easy tee with half sleeves so I think it must be an Emma? I don't have much luck with Toast t-shirts so it's an outside chance

Is it usually a week until they add more to their big sales?

ScallopShellWalk · 22/06/2026 19:19

The pen and ink dress arrived. I had hoped I’d be sending it back as it’s really likely to be too small across the chest but I really quite liked it. So I hummed and hawed but I’ve packaged it up and it’s going back tomorrow. It looks nice but I do feel a bit of a snuggness across the chest when I stretch and I’m not happy to put up with this. I’ll look out for the size up. If it doesn’t come that’s ok, I realise I want comfort not compromise. There’s always something else I’ll like. I won’t order a xs again. Only try them on in store.

IlovePond · 22/06/2026 19:20

@faustina - up to a couple of years ago - yes! However, they haven’t added anything in the last two sales - so who knows 🤷‍♀️

I think the days when we were getting 1000 items of womenswear on sale on Day One with more added a week later are sadly behind us. They haven’t even bothered digging out the really old stuff this time round 😿

@IlovePond - oh dear! I know they don't do it when it's a quick mid-season thing, or a flash sale, but I was hoping they'd add more to their big one

ScallopShellWalk · 22/06/2026 19:25

@clearsky thank you for this. I guess it’s not surprising as it’s it very blue but it will have me having to be careful. I kinda hoped to take it as my only jacket for a July trip away but I may have to think it over carefully. I don’t want send it back though so I’ll just have to be mindful. I bet it’ll be pretty bad in the rain. 😱 I live in Scotland.

IlovePond · 22/06/2026 19:30

Things are not as they once were in Toast sale land, unfortunately @faustina Plus, the relatively small amount of sale stock this time and the - imo- poor range of items doesn’t inspire hope in me that they will add more/much later.

However, let’s remain hopeful 🤞

I was - genuinely- more excited about today’s Reworn drop than the disappointing summer sale offering.

CakeAndJazz · 22/06/2026 19:42

Thanks @faustina, I checked in late at the Reworn bits, but managed a neat wool cashmere cardigan. Was it @ScallopShellWalk that found one of these on Reworn before? It’s not a style or colour I’d usually try, but thought it might be worth a try at that price.

Hope some of the Reworn items work for you @IlovePond.

IlovePond · 22/06/2026 19:45

Thanks @CakeAndJazz - I do really like the grey linen dress I got in Reworn a while ago.

How long do you think this sale will run for? Long enough for returns to be added again?

OrangeyLemon · 22/06/2026 20:11

I’m pretty sure there will be a restock of returned items

mizu · 22/06/2026 20:25

@ShanghaiDiva happy you like the FM sandals. I have had mine for just over a year now and walk miles in them. @IlovePond a shame they didn’t suit but at least you definitely know now.

@faustina I’ve ordered the patch pocket dungarees on Reworn. A quick search said size 10 is ok fit for a 12 so fingers crossed. I had a pair of the neater fitting indigo dungarees for years until I sold them earlier this year as they were a big snug and I’ve missed having a pair to throw on. The patch pocket ones look a bit roomier!

A few nice bits on Reworn, nearly bought a green Donegal jumper and wide leg jeans but resisted.

ScottishMouse · 22/06/2026 21:06

Sigh. I returned a (non-sale) parcel to Toast which arrived last Monday. I had been refunded for something that arrived back two days after that so emailed to check and they claim they don’t have this parcel. So now I have to wait 10 working days and then they will look into it. Quite annoying.

ScallopShellWalk · 22/06/2026 21:21

@ScottishMouse oh that’s not good to hear. What about the tracking from the post office, does that say anything about whether it has been delivered back?

ScottishMouse · 22/06/2026 21:24

Yes @ScallopShellWalk it was delivered last Monday, but they don’t seem to have it. 🤷‍♀️🙄

faustina · 22/06/2026 21:41

@ScottishMouse - if the tracking shows they received it, or it was delivered, then I don't see why that's your problem? You shouldn't have to wait for investigations! Surely your responsibility ends at proof of postage!

ScallopShellWalk · 22/06/2026 21:52

@ScottishMouse @faustina I would have thought the same. Even if they never find it, it was delivered.

ScottishMouse · 22/06/2026 23:01

Yes, I agree. Apparently I have to wait 10 working days as it can take this long to refund. Which we all know it never does. And they have said they can’t find it. So it’s just a charade where I will need to chase it up in a week or so.
I have a lot of incredibly stressful things happening in my life at the moment, and this feels like one more thing on my plate. This is obviously unreasonable, as it will get sorted, but everything feels like a big deal when you’re feeling like you’re teetering.

IlovePond · 23/06/2026 07:05

Sorry to hear things are difficult atm, @ScottishMouse - the last thing you need is nonsense from Toast about parcels they have lost.

If you can bear it, it might be worth phoning CS again and trying to get a different/more senior person on the phone. I assume you have sent a screenshot of your proof of posting and of RM’s tracking showing date and time of delivery. I would also point out that you are a long-standing customer and that this issue is causing you a lot of stress.

I have had terrible problems at times with getting refunds from Toast and have found trying again on a different day can resolve the issue more quickly.

Sending you best wishes 💐

@ScottishMouse sorry that Toast are unnecessarily adding to your stress. It does sound unreasonable and egotistical. I’m not at all impressed.

ScottishMouse · 23/06/2026 07:44

Ah sorry for causing such concern and consternation. It will get sorted eventually I’m sure. Yesterday was a day and a half. Today has not started great, but trying to let the little things like Toast refund issues slide off me so I can conserve energy.
In other news I am hoping the ecru pleated skirt will arrive today, and have my fingers crossed that it fits so I can take it on holidays later in the week.

ScallopShellWalk · 23/06/2026 08:37

@ScottishMouse I hope your day is much brighter and that the skirt fits you and you like it.
