@IlovePond I haven't been on here for ages because there's not much I like in Toast now, but catching up with sale chat I saw your post about PF. I got it for the first time at Christmas and have been in the most horrendous pain, I'd got to the point of avoiding walking and like you had been buying lots of different shoes. I'm sorry I don't know how to do a link but I found half insoles (Health and Care, Pro11 3/4 insoles for plantar fasciitis and over pronation) have practically cured it in about 3 weeks. They cost £11.99, arrived overnight and fit in all my shoes. I would never have believed that something so cheap and simple could work but they really have. They might be worth a try?

IlovePond · 21/06/2026 08:38

Thank you very much for thinking of me @Scotiasdarling - I appreciate it and will check out your suggestion.

I am finding it hard to decide whether to keep the slightly too large skirt. The size is putting me off as I want to lose some weight. Looking at it flat it looks much wider than thing I’ve bought before. So why do I want to keep it? I’m thinking I’ll send it back and take my chance a 10 appears, or not. If I send it back I’ll let you know @ScottishMouse and if you’re interested you can look out for it. I’ll decide today. I’m not sure if I actually think this nice skirt it’s good to keep or just the idea of it.

ScottishMouse · 21/06/2026 10:08

Thanks @ScallopShellWalk i will see how the 14 goes and may look out for your return if it’s too big. I suspect the waist will be a problem for me even in the 14. I have ibs and my waist can expand at a moment’s notice so I tend to stick to elasticated waists. I like the blue & ecru stripe pleated skirt well enough so that might be a better option for me in the end, but as I am going on holidays on Thursday I have left it late in the day to be deciding, the ecru one will arrive Tues earliest. I did see a plain ecru elasticated one in an indie near me which was also lovely but pricier and without the decent resale value Toast items hold. I reckon that one will be gone by the time the ecru pleated one arrives as it was the only one in stock, so I’m gambling a bit. I need to be organised for sales in future and have tried absolutely everything I might ever want ahead of time 😆

ScallopShellWalk · 21/06/2026 10:19

I’ve parcelled up the skirt. It’s going back today. Just tried it on and I’m not happy to adjust it. It’s also a bit see through, might need a half slip so not to see the upper thighs/crotch. I’ll post back before lunch. Might consider a 10 might not.

Very pleased with my crinkle cotton sale order
Kept the blackberry crinkle cotton top and wide leg trousers in small
Im a 10/12
The crinkle cotton dress , also in blackberry came up very large indeed and I ordered a small and X small
The small looked ok until I looked at my back and it sort of flopped out so I tried the XS and it lookes lovely
Very nice, throw on style, black buckled Sorel slides, sunnies and Im off

The Indigo twill shirtdress, perfect in a small
Popping back now for another look 😅

ScallopShellWalk · 21/06/2026 13:42

Oh my! NOW I’ve ordered the Japanese culottes. I always liked them but thought I’d look odd in them. But decided to giving them a go, since they are in the sale. It’s nice having a shorter length in the summer. I didn’t want to wait as the size I’ve ordered might not fit.
How long, do you think, is this sale expected to last?

Bimblesalong · 21/06/2026 14:01

I’ve had my first Harper refund for one item and have just put the jacket I’m not keeping into the Inpost locker. I had to ensure that I was going through the Harper return system rather than Toast’s.

I was over in Manchester yesterday and took the opportunity to go into the Lanx showroom in the Northern Quarter. I’d seen a lot on socials and was really impressed with the boots. I have a sale pair on delivery - salesman was very knowledgeable and good to talk to. They handmade the shoes in Lancashire (hence the name). They seem very Toast-adjacent.

ScottishMouse · 21/06/2026 14:02

Has anyone tried this dress? I don’t seem to have seen it before. One review says the fabric is heavy, which makes me think it might make me look huge on the shoulders due to the style (short wide sleeves) and my wide shoulders. Can anyone say anything good or bad about it?

ScallopShellWalk · 21/06/2026 14:41

@ScottishMouse I wanted to ask what you think of the Japanese indigo jacket transferring colour? I want to be able to use it whenever I like. Is there a way to test transfer? I know jeans can rub on a light coloured couch but with a jacket hanging on the body, I’m not sure. Plus it’s a well made jacket and maybe it’s less likely to transfer than maybe cheap jeans (on the light couch story).
Does anyone have this jacket and has worn it that can comment?

mizu · 21/06/2026 14:49

Red jumper has disappeared and wasn’t quick enough to get the king size duvet cover BUT have just bought the half placket jumpsuit on Vinted for £65 in a 10. Hoping it fits 😁 I am a 10-12 in TOAST so reckon it should be ok.

ScottishMouse · 21/06/2026 14:57

@ScallopShellWalk i haven’t worn my jacket yet. My plan is to wear it only with dark clothes first, and then test it out with something in a light colour that is old and I don’t care about. If it transfers then I’ll wash it.

I tried the Lanx loafers
They were stunning, beautifully made but so heavy I stepped out of them
Sadly the same with the boots , my legs which are regularly exercised, ached so much
Sad

I’m still patiently waiting for my sales parcel….
I think it’s being held hostage by Royal Mail!

Does anyone here have the Fracap Leather Buckle shoes (non sale item). Looking at the reviews I can’t work out what’s going on with the sizing. Some say size up, some say size down. Previous Fracap purchases have included size 41 (shoes) and 40 (boots), so I’m not sure what size I am in Fracap full stop!

Countmeout · 22/06/2026 12:35

@MsDastardley , it has arrived. I tried it over my nightdress 😬and thought definitely not. But then I pulled on the navy linen dress and of course I then liked it. I will try it with a few more things but I am now thinking I might keep it. It’s very cosy, this is probably not the best week to try on woollens.
As for sizing, I do have bust and ordered s/m as I would normally in most things and it does not quite meet. I’m will be interested to hear how you get on with the bigger size. I can’t decide if I need it to meet or if it will stretch. I fear the size up might be too big on the shoulders.

applecatchers36 · 22/06/2026 16:02

Finally went through and decided on my sale parcel.

The crinkle cotton macro gingham skirt had a nice material and I loved the colours but it was a bit puffy around the waist so not very flattering on perimenopausal bloat..going back

I loved the colour of the cardinal red poplin skirt but it arrived very creased, has a lot of fabric and therefore will be a nightmare to iron

I also love the cotton wrap skirt, I ordered in sand and navy but think navy will get more wear..so am keeping in that colour..very simple and beautifully cut..

All the returns now sent off so quite a restrained sale after all..

I received this jacket today. It’s lovely and i will keep it but I think it will almost certainly transfer colour to clothes especially inside along the edges where the lining doesn’t meet the edge of the jacket. I rubbed it with a pale tea towel and i got colour transfer very easily. Washing helps but doesn’t completely eliminate this. Wearing a shoulder bag that rubs against your shoulder and side promotes colour transfer I have found. I usually wear something dark or just accept a few white t shirts will get colour transfer. The colour transfer does wash out but not completely and i would risk anything expensive.

@Scotiasdarling I’m glad I happened to read this message as I currently want to go for a walk but my heel pain is putting me right off. I’m so bored of wearing my brooks ghost running shoes which look terrible in a non running outfit, so I’m excited to hopefully broaden my shoe wearing again, thanks! Even though I wasn’t the target audience hehe

I have these and they are definitely on the smaller side. I spent ages choosing in the shop and eventually went with my own size.

faustina · 22/06/2026 17:35

A very big amount of reworn has just appeared. I'm not sure if it's returns from the previous one, but there are loads of things.

faustina · 22/06/2026 17:37

I'm sending back my slightly big skirt. After trying it on again it really is too big. That leaves only the lovely rug as my sale buy. I hope they add some new things soon, otherwise this is the cheapest sale ever for me!

ShanghaiDiva · 22/06/2026 17:50

Most of my sale order going back:
ordered two pairs of flower mountain sandals and am keeping the brick
Donegal cardigan too large - have ordered a smaller size
poncho - too short and just irritated me although today was not the ideal weather for trying on woollen garments.
bandana colours were not bright enough for me
wool lyocell scoop neck tee looked atrocious on me - and requires much sturdier undergarments!

Scotiasdarling · 22/06/2026 18:00

@hicat I really hope they work for you! For me it was like magic, the pain started to improve from the first day. I don't think about my heel pain now and definitely can walk. Let us know how you get on.

I hope you have your baby home now and can walk with your pram!

ShanghaiDiva · 22/06/2026 18:07

White oxford shirt also going back as clearly designed for an ironing sadist.

IlovePond · 22/06/2026 18:12

Thanks for the Reworn heads up @faustina - I have just ordered a lot to try as both my sale orders have gone back!
