My sale parcel expected today didn’t come. And now I’ve gone back and ordered the pen and ink dress 🙈 just in case something has to go back and by then this is oos. I haven’t bought a patterned dress yet from toast. I really like the oversized image it has. Hoping it’ll be nice to float around in, maybe a gallery visit.

Hi all- loving the sale chat. My Flower Mountain sandals are great (cream/chalk ones) and the wave stripe dress is also perfect. I dithered last summer and didn’t buy the dress but I should have. Now just a round collar cord jacket and bandana on the way. Probably keep those as well 🫣

I also ordered the chalk coloured sandals- yet to arrive.

I’m trying the brick FM sandals again - due tomorrow.

Thinking of feet: My left foot is very painful atm due to PF flare up since October. I hobbled into Runners Need today to try on some trainers. The assistant was super helpful and I was very impressed by the CS.

I was, however, a little taken aback by the prices of the two trainers that seem likely to best suit my feet. It’s not like my ONLY footwear can be a pair of psychedelic trainers 🙀

If I thought they would resolve my problems I would suck it up, but atm I am throwing good money after bad on footwear😿 (The FitFlop sandals I bought recently don’t stay on my feet properly, don’t help the PF and, to add insult to injury, are now reduced in the FF sale - GRRH!)

I like the cardigan and the grey cable jumper on the and Daughter site but am resisting! They look lovely, though.

Oh Lordy I hadn’t thought of the flower mountain trainers…!

How long has delivery been for anyone who has ordered on the standard free delivery? I ordered on Weds and had the dispatch notice from Toast. The tracking from parcel force shows they’re aware of it but haven’t received it. I’m impatient now!!

btw, I’ve been wearing my lovely Emma Carlow skirt today and it’s been brilliant in the heat.

My Tuesday orders (all three!) are arriving tomorrow, hopefully.

Their scarves are beautiful. I haven't had their cashmere, but the lambswool is exceptionally soft

My two orders that arrived today were made lunchtime Tuesday, standard delivery. The one I did later in the day has only just been dispatched.

I’ve tried on the patch pocket dungarees, I did order previously in a 10 but they were tight on the hips; these are a 12 and a good fit although a bit long, I’m happy to roll them up so I shall keep these.

The denim tapered trouser aren’t very comfortable on my waist so I’m sending them back. I’ve got the new drop twisted seam denim trousers that arrived at the weekend, I really like them (although I think I’m in the minority @MsDastardley ?). I find the flat front really comfortable and I quite like the exaggerated barrel leg look, so I’ll keep those instead.

Glad you like the jeans @Theteapotsbrokenspout the flat front is flattering. I do like a barrel leg, but they were a bit too wide for me!

Just wondering if anyone knows what the best way to send a return to Denmark might be? Long story, but need to return something for my sis that is worth a lot - £300-400, and have spent the last hour going around in circles on the RM/parcelforce website. I’ll go to the post office in the morning if this is my best bet, but wondered if others have used other couriers to send expensive items to Denmark/Europe. Thanks.

Just catching up now. Thanks for the sales alert @Theteapotsbrokenspout. I’m quite interested in the tapered jeans - did you take your usual size? I’m confused as to how they should fit too - in the waist and quite fitted? They obviously look quite roomy on the model…

My sales parcel arrived today - the Kate Sheridan origami tote (really nice) and the relaxed wide leg denim trousers in ecru (also really nice).

I’m also sending back the stripe linen tee, it doesn’t work for me at all. I tried on the bandana and definitely keeping that (not sure while I was so 'meh' about it in the first place).
I'm still not sure about the babbi slippers - has anyone bought them previously and can tell me how much they give?

@CakeAndJazz I did buy my usual size in the tapered jeans, all the reviews seemed to say they were big on the waist so I don’t know why I found them uncomfortable. Although I have just had a big family event and spent 3 days at the weekend doing nothing but eating.

I have that tote and love it @CakeAndJazz, use it almost every day. I wish it had a way to close it, but otherwise it is spot on.

I saw someone in the street wearing the new red smock shirt and it looked so amazing on her. I have the navy one which has proved to be very useful for keeping cool while
also covered up. Red is not a colour I ever wear and I am trying to streamline my wardrobe to neutral colours, so why am I looking longingly at it?! I wish they had the plain style one in white.

My boiled wool indigo short coat arrived today. I love it, but will it be reduced further, and might it reappear cheaper in the fading summer sale? I probably won’t need to wear it until October and I do wonder if I’m a bit mad ordering it just in time for the heatwave!

Thanks @faustina - the search continues. Sadly, I can’t wear my FM trainers at all, atm, due to the PF pain.

Hopefully the FM sandals will be better.

Think my order (tues) of 4 skirts is arriving tomorrow. All very different one black/ olive check, one red and another straight - in the two colourways, sand and navy. Want something that i can wear to work and cycle in.

Some one was looking for good linen trousers. There is a good selection of French linen in Muji. Went into the Tottenham court road shop and got the black linen trousers and really happy with them, might be worth checking out? They also had dresses and shirts in a weighty linen.

Ah, my order was Tuesday evening not Weds. it’s showing as coming tomorrow. Yay! Mind you, it’s going to be too hot to wear a padded jacket - I’ll get some wear from the Pages sleeveless frock and my lovely long skirt!
Should people be concerned about timescales it went overnight from not being registered on the Royal Mail system to being delivered tomorrow.

@applecatchers36 Muji linen is pretty good for the price - I have a linen shirtdress from there and it’s v well made.

@OrangeyLemon I buy lots of AW stuff in summer sales, I think you get great bargains!

Speaking of which, my only Toast sale but thus far is the forest marl jumper. I live in jumpers Sep-April and have others in this style from Toast so should hopefully be a keeper. Have also bought 2 x cashmere jumpers from JL - khaki and black. So v unexciting purchases for me, but things I will wear to death.

@applecatchers36 thank you for the linen trousers tip. I’ve been looking for some. I had hoped the black ones would have gone into the sale. I’ll see if I can get a muji visit.
I bought the blue/soy check linen cotton mix in the toast sale. I’m hoping they will do instead of black. I feel they have grown a lot on me after dismissing them as too much like pyjamas. They come today, hopefully.

There's often a delay between Toast saying they've despatched something to Royal Mail saying they actually have it, especially during sales.

So pleased the hot weather is here so I can wear my summer things!

Thanks for the Muji recommendation @applecatchers36 . If I don't have any luck with my Toast order I might try to go in at the weekend - I see they have some nice looking linen mix t-shirts too. I wish Toast still did a linen tee even though they shrank

@applecatchers36 I have also bought those black linen trousers from Muji last week and I love them. They are a great shape and feel good quality.

My first sale order arrives today, not had a despatch email for the 2nd one.

I got some lovely linen tees from Uniqlo recently @faustina they were a collaboration with someone (forget who). Some more unusual colours like a chocolate brown and a kind of rust colour.
