As promised, here is the new thread.

I have them @venus7 in the suede. I haven’t worn them tonnes yet because the weather has been so rubbish, but I think they have given a little bit but not a lot. I did size up as my normal size was far too small as reviews say.

Thank you; that's helpful.
I have ordered the brown leather, so slightly different.
My friend has them....like you, barely worn this year!.......and they felt slightly snug when I tried them on.

OrangeyLemon · 17/06/2026 10:46

I got the brown leather ones @venus7 and worried they were going to rub, but when I wore them (once!) they were absolutely fine. I didn’t want to risk waiting for the sale as I needed the largest size and worried they’d sell out. 42 (I sized up) sold out in the women’s but available in men’s. Are they the same?

OrangeyLemon · 17/06/2026 10:48

I’ve gone back and ordered the lofty alpaca high neck. I blame you lot! 😂

The men's are the same. I'm worried my toes won't have room, as closed toe.
I love them, but must be able to wear them!
Thank you for answering; much appreciated.

mizu · 17/06/2026 12:50

@ToastSafeFromMothsAndDogs yes I think it is. Thanks, I’ll have another look later.

ScottishMouse · 17/06/2026 16:41

My sale order seems to have dispatched in two separate parcels. I paid for 24 hr RM delivery as I am going away next week and sale delivery can be slow (although I saw some of you saying yours were dispatched almost immediately so I could probably have risked it). Even though I ordered at tea time yesterday, one parcel has just arrived!
The indigo jacket is lovely and much more reasonable at sale price. I tried M and L but if I keep it I will go with the L to fit sweaters underneath. I am worried about the indigo dye though as the labels are very blue!
The button through cotton linen poplin dress will work well for such occasions as need it (I was thinking funerals but could also be made cheerier). I went for M and it feels a little neater than the one I tried in store early in the season. I’m sure I could fit a thin sweater underneath it then but not now. The label is also sewn on upside down so I wonder if I got a dud. Does anyone have this (in either colour) in M and would mind measuring from armpit to armpit for me? I’m not sure whether to order another to try. This one measures exactly 55cm so if anyone could compare theirs, I would be very grateful. Thanks!
Looking forward to receiving the rest of my order tomorrow (and hoping I don’t want to keep it all too!).

ScallopShellWalk · 17/06/2026 17:34

@ScottishMouse I don’t have the dress but I too ordered the Japanese denim jacket. I had hoped the said cotton lining might save indigo transfer? But you say the labels are very blue so I guess maybe not.

That’s very quick delivery.

ScottishMouse · 17/06/2026 17:51

It isn’t lined @ScallopShellWalk. It’s the same frantic used for the indigo Alix trousers as far as I can tell. I h at e having to think about things like indigo rub when I get dressed (or worse, forgetting about it until I have left the house with a white shirt underneath, but it is really lovely so I may just have to keep it and plan well (or wash it a few times, though I would be reluctant to).
Quickest delivery I have ever had!

ScallopShellWalk · 17/06/2026 19:04

@ScottishMouse oh it’s not lined. Thanks for that. I too will have to watch what I wear ☹️ that’s if it fits me. I’m glad you think it’s lovely. I have liked it for a while but like you I didn’t want to pay the full price.

faustina · 17/06/2026 19:35

That jacket is really nice @ScottishMouse ! I'm hoping they'll add more jackets to the sale. Can't convince myself I need another one in denim though

ScottishMouse · 17/06/2026 19:39

It really works for me @faustina as I hate collars. I don’t have any sort of denim jacket so I think I can justify it 😆

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 18/06/2026 08:25

Two of my three parcels should be arriving today, including my roll top canvas bags which I managed to duplicate in my orders.

ScallopShellWalk · 18/06/2026 09:22

@Theteapotsbrokenspout I liked the roll top bags, though maybe not two. Is one going back?

ShadowViolet · 18/06/2026 12:10

Thanks for the heads up about the sale. I normally just lurk here, but managed to snag the Patch Pocket Cord Jacket and the
Large Check Boiled Wool Scarf, which I’ve had my eye on for ages 😊

Sadly I appear to be too tall for Toast trousers and had to send a few (non-sale) pairs back last week. It’s not so much the overall leg length that appears to be the problem, but the general fit. I’ve now set myself the challenge of making some Toast inspired trousers. Wish me luck!

MsDastardley · 18/06/2026 12:18

I’ve just received my sale order. I love the clamp dye dress. I think it’s the best dress I’ve bought from Toast. I will be wearing it next good day. I also got an Archivist dress is a smaller size as replacing one that’s too big. It’s the cumin colour which I love.

I am in two minds about the patchwork waistcoat. The colours are gorgeous and wool soft. It’s a hand knit and I am wondering if it needs blocking to fit better. It doesn’t have buttons so swings open, maybe a kilt pin or something needed.

I will be returning the cord tunic dress. I ordered a medium and it is massive. I like the colour and the top of dress so may order a small.

Also returning the crockery blouse. I bought it to wear with the waistcoat but it doesn’t work for me. If anyone likes a statement off white blouse though I would recommend! Lovely fine poplin, only slightly transparent. It’s a swingy smock shape with balloon sleeves, which just doesn’t suit me. The crockery trim was lovely

Looking forward to hearing about everyone’s parcels. Hopefully you will have plenty of hits

ScottishMouse · 18/06/2026 13:42

My second parcel arrived.
The navy beton cire hat looks ridiculous on me, but all hats do so I don’t know why I thought this one would be different.
I’m keeping the navy linen silk wrap top but I cannot decide between sizes. Anyone who has this did you size up or stick with your usual size?
The surprise is this season’s cotton linen knitted dress. It is lovely, although very long. I was looking for something for holidays that could be thrown on over a swimsuit and dressed up with a bit of jewellery for dinner and had tried the jersey options to no avail. I wonder if this will be too warm though. And I also wonder if it will sag terribly around the bum. Does anyone have it (or last year’s sleeveless version) and can comment on this?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 18/06/2026 13:52

@ScallopShellWalk I really like the roll top bag, I think I might keep one for a Christmas present for someone, it seems a shame to send one back.

So far the rest of my order hasn’t really excited me:

Babbi slippers - seem very tight, I’m not sure if the sheepskin will flatten enough, I was looking for a pair to replace my Celtic ones which I’ve had for years.
The stripe linen tank isn’t as nice as my v-neck navy one, I’m going to try that one with a few tees.
The green paisley bandana is a bit meh, but I do wear a lot of bandanas in the winter.
I haven’t tried the dungarees or jeans yet as I’m supposed to be preparing briefing documents for a committee on Monday which is taking an inordinate amount of time.

Cricketduckout · 18/06/2026 14:11

Any chance for dress links in the sale? 🙃

Barbellaishere · 18/06/2026 14:19

@Cricketduckout I think they have opened the sale to everyone now

Cricketduckout · 18/06/2026 16:24

So they have! My basket has halved with all the out of stock messages!

Just to say, for anyone, like me, who is disappointed by the lack of interesting knitwear in the Toast sale, &Daughter has knocked up to 70% of its stuff, which is quite unprecedented. They've almost sold out but you might get lucky.

Thanks for this. Have purchased a lovely scarf. Not that I need more scarves…

Primrosespaw · 18/06/2026 17:49

Thank you @notwavingbutdrowning1 ordered the poppy v neck in cashmere. Lovely. Will be my first order from them. Awaiting 5 sale items from Toast.

@mizu I think you asked up thread about the Manos red sweater. I have it from the last sale. It is soft and gorgeous.
