For those who don’t want to use X here’s a photo. It looks a lot more fun than opening a new community centre or similar and she really seemed to get into it.

Rubbish style wise really.

Wedding dress would have looked bitter without the lace so high up the neck & the style was quite formal for a country wedding.

Sophie - nice colour on her but the sleeves were awful & the bag doesn’t go.

Zara - I couldn’t see a front photo but nice colour on her.

Kate - agree with the Norland nanny vibes, I don’t like that colour on her but shape is good & nice hat.

By far the most stylish was Isabelle

I did not like the cut of the wedding dress - thinner straps and a lower neckline with simpler lace might have made it better, and a bit more elegant, although the whole idea of it seems wrong. The fit overall did not seem great

I thought too many of the guests were wearing quite dark colours - an odd choice for a summer wedding.

Also (and I know that no-one could have known this ) there was a lot of blue and white. I quite liked Princess Anne's outfit as it was different and a bit brighter - different accessories could have saved it.

I thought the Princess of Wales' dress was a lovely colour and material but would have been nice with a bit of contrast detail around the neck or the sleeves.

Now you've said it, I can't unsee the Norland Nanny in Kate's ensemble! But she can carry off a lot on account of being so tall and model-slim. That dress would look matronly on say, Sophie or Eugenie.

Just saw some pics of Mark Phillips at the wedding, along with his girlfriend. She looks about the same age as Zara!

Florence Standaert - she's a year younger than Zara!

She looks a lot older than Zara but yuck!

I think MP is a bit of an APB - nothing much to look at but inexplicably popular with women! Doesn't he have a daughter who was born while he was still married to PA? And I seem to remember that his second marriage ended because he cheated too.

Yes, Felicity Tonkin, b 1985 and confirmed by a paternity suit.

I just googled and his second married ended when he fell for a woman Peter's age! So as he gets older, the girlfriends get younger.

Omg, plus I just looked up the images of him and Florence - he is definitely showing his age and hasn't remained dapper. (sorry) APB indeed.

Anne clearly has a type! Though Tim still looks ok.

Currently in a queue at Edinburgh Airport in front of Lady Louise. She's blending with every other returner from uni. My DD is admiring her Toms trunks trousers

I lost you all! Busy week and didn't notice the other thread filling up. Will catch ip later. Been poring over all the wedding pics from yesterday.

I wonder if the plan is to remove the veil, the train, and the over-jacket for the reception. Just one slim column of silk, keeping the tiara of course. I think that would be very elegant.

I agree @CarolinaInTheMorning

I saw pics too. His partner looked gorgeous. He looked like a very old gimmer 😬

As for Princess Anne’s outfit, I would be over the moon if I could fit in clothes from 40 years ago, seriously I’d be swinging from the rooftops.

But you'd look a twit in a 40 year old dress and your son's wedding?

Anne's ensemble was certainly not her best look, in my opinion, but "twit"? Not in the least. I think it most likely that she made some last minute adjustments that did not harmonize well.

1986 was my shoulder pad era. They have returned this year albeit more subtle than some of them were back then. I don't think I'd have looked at a twit I was a smart but not out there dresser.

I think that sounds great! Vintage.

Same here.

I love the revived shoulder pad trend. As someone with narrow shoulders, but whose waist has expanded a bit since they were last in style, I find it to be quite flattering.

I like the white dress Letizia wore to meet the Pope. I watched quite a bit of the video coverage of the events, and I agree with previous posters that in motion on video it looks much better than in still photos.
