That caught me by surprise! We had a flurry!

I quite like that both Kate and Camilla have gone for pastel shades, I find some of the floral dresses plus fascinators a bit fussy.

I think it's the one occasion where Anne should've bought something new! That hat and yellow jacket are awful and the navy gloves and handbag, what??

Oh, the gloves and handbag are a thing with her, it's never good. Although small mercies for navy rather than black. Still.

Do the bridesmaids’ dresses look a bit ‘solid’ next to the bride’s? Thought there might be more connection through lace but perhaps the difference is key? Like the shape of the bride’s dress.

TimorousOrBold · 06/06/2026 13:50

Those dresses are too young for teenagers.

I'm sure she must have a pale pair at the back of the cupboard that she could've worn today!

I know! I'm sure she had a beige pair on recently.

I love Kate’s dress and the hat is super on her. Like Beatrice’s dress. Don’t like Sophie’s it has weird sleeves.

Not sure about the brides dress but she looks really happy. Philips older daughter always has a smirk - my mum would not approve, she loathed smirking!

Good job your mum's not at the wedding then! All three girls look fine.

Miranda65 · 06/06/2026 14:02

The bride looks beautiful, and happy, which I guess is all that matters. But am I the only grumpy oldie who thinks that the full white lace + veil is inappropriate for a 40something, divorced, mother? She could have really wowed in a knockout designer suit and a stupendous hat.
Queen and Catherine both look good, and I love that Anne is wearing a hat the same age as the bride (even tho it's not a nice colour 😂)!

Maireas · 06/06/2026 14:07

I'm surprised it's Emilia Wickstead. Anyway, I'm not keen on all the lace, but the shape is nice. I think the bridesmaids dresses are lovely, and just right for the age group.

Peter got to wear the same type of suit as his first wedding and is not a virgin either

poodlemum01 · 06/06/2026 14:14

Don’t care about wearing white but that dress is the ugliest royal dress since Diana’s.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 06/06/2026 14:15

Apparently this is the tiara she wore.

I was wondering about the tiara - that's lovely. I thought she may have worn one of Anne's.

Echos of Anne's Meander Tiara, worn by Zara at her wedding.

So it's not a royal tiara but borrowed from a jeweller? Have I got this right.

Eaumyword · 06/06/2026 14:21

Kate and Cams look fantastic, love their colours and outfits. Kate's looks cappuccino to me? Lovely.
Agree that Anne's outfit would have looked better with neutral colour beige/light gloves.

My mother in the middle of the bridal shop when I chose a white wedding gown said loudly enough for the staff to hear. Do you think you should be wearing white? I was 20 , not a virgin , she'd searched my room thoroughly as she often did and found the pill.

I thought her thing with gloves was shaking hands with remote strangers at work events and not catching lurgies. Seems she doesn't trust guests either.

I agree. I had high hopes and from what I’ve seen, Harriet is stylish, but this was awful.

After the ceremony.
The dress is clearer without the veil covering it.
