I spotted Za up very close at Burghley years ago and Mike Tindall was doing child minding near the collecting ring!

Cool and very windy today. No sign of Mike or the kids today. I only spotted Zara walking back from her first ride. I was however sitting beside Mark Todd (who is Equestrian royalty for non horse people) in the riders tent

The Swedish royals have been out and about today for the King and Queen's Golden Wedding anniversary.

The schedule today sounds exhausting ... a church service, lunch, a boat trip, a concert and a dinner.

Pictures from the lunch and the arrivals at the Opera house late in the afternoon for the concert (apparently most of the royals arrived on a chartered city bus!)

Here’s Beatrice at a wedding in Austria. I’m not a huge fan of the Vampire’s Wife dresses but this colour is gorgeous on her.

I really didn’t like the dress Sofia wore with her hair up. Her church outfit was fab.
Isn’t she blessed with her beautiful children. As are Madeleine and Victoria.
I always think Queen Silvia is long suffering. I’m not sure I’d have stayed with a cheater, even if he was the King😀

Apparently Madeleine is wearing one of Queen Silvia's dresses from 2005 - I think the fitting on Silvia was better

Nice Garter Day outfits - Kate in cream, with a gorgeous hat but slightly bland coat dress, with big '80's style cream buttons. She always looks the part and extremely elegant. Hair down, looks pretty under her hat.
Sophie looks stunning today in a white and pink patterned dress. Lovely sleeves, nice hat, hair in a very pretty chignon.

The fabric for Kate’s coat is silk, handwoven in Suffolk - I am presuming with her interest in UK textiles she decided to commission some for a bespoke design. It’s quite upholstery-adjacent though!

Sophie's Garter outfit is her favourite designer, Suzannah London. I love her hat and her Jimmy Choos.

They both looked stunning (I prefer Catherine's hair back off her face to the droopy curtains she favoured a while back). A very elegant outing for both of them.

Yes, I like Kate's hat and the texture and cut of her jacket.

I like Sophie's dress and I like her hat but think they look a bit much together, a plainer hat would have been my choice for that dress, or the hat with a plain fabric dress. Her hair looks lovely. Catherine's coat and hat are lovely too but the pockets seem to stick out a bit on the coat.

I think Sophie, in particular, has some lovely hats. I don't really care for those fussy little fascinators or big headbands.

Sophie's ensemble reminds me a bit of Neapolitan ice cream. Not that that's a bad thing on a warm day!

I like both Sophie and Catherine’s outfits, although for me Sophie’s is still a smidge too long. I love that they are all rocking proper big hats of late. I don’t recall the late Queen ever really wearing a big brim, but maybe she thought it would obscure her face too much 🤷‍♀️
