My first thought with Birgitte was that she was very ‘on trend’ with the spots. Second thought was ‘what on earth is that frill doing?’ 😂

Very frilled lizard adjacent!

PoW is looking really well, I hope she is feeling as well as she looks.

Sophie wins for me today! Kate’s hat is fab but the coat is just too Diana 80s vibes for me.

Yes, this outfit is the one it reminds me of. I guess Louis should be thankful that Kate isn't into twinning!

The future king wore one of his mom's favorite designers.

Oh dear me. I'm sure Louis is very grateful 😁

Fantastic to see the Duke of Kent on the balcony.

Kates hat is fab . Love the colour and I do like it when a hat has a detail that goes through the brim if you see what I mean.Hair and earrings are fab too.

The dress coat though! Nice colour but it’s very similar to the teal one she wore recently. And I bet it’s way too long on her. Very 80s cabin crew. Sigh…honestly it’s as if she’s not even listening to me! 😁

Sophie looks cool and elegant.

Camilla appears to be wearing a Chelsea Pensioners outfit.

I thought that about the Queen! Is there any explanation?

It's her Grenadier Guards uniform. I think she's an honorary regimental colonel, or somesuch.
The late Queen used to wear a version when she took the salute on horseback.

According to Hello, it's a 'silk crepe Grenadier Guards uniform dress by Fiona Clare'.

There's a good photo on this page.

Lovely to see the Trooping footage!
Everyone looks lovely. Kate looks fab as ever.
Loved Cam's uniform in that glorious red.
Sophie wins the style stakes today for me! Very elegant.

William looks a lot younger than 8 in that picture. I don't think even Diana would have done the twin thing by the age Louis is now.

Presumably if Harry was 2+ it would have tripleting so it must have been while Harry was still a baby.

Maybe not everyone agrees with you with your 'cabin crew' remark. I think without the edging the outfit would look boring. I liked it.

ForAlertLurker · 13/06/2026 13:37

I didn't get a proper look at Charlotte's dress. In past years we have seen them getting in or out of the carriage at Horse Guards but if it was shown then I missed it this year. I also wonder if Sophie had to supervise the children during the parade? I didn't see any shots of them watching from the windows?

Yes, that's a fair point. Plus I suppose that kind of twinning can be cute.

Charlotte's dress was white, short sleeved, and the fabric looked very soft. There was a tie at the neck, not quite nautical but of that vibe. I didn't see any views of the windows from where the rest of the family watch.

Wow thats a bit snarky. I was very obviously joking. And I’m not the only one who has pointed out her coats often look like cabin crew uniform. It’s a light hearted observation on the style thats all.

ForAlertLurker · 13/06/2026 13:45

OK I am going to admit that I really disliked Camilla's dress. To me it is half and half and just looks odd. When the late QE wore uniform when she rode to the parade it was a proper uniform. As far as I am aware, as soon as the Queen started to travel by coach, she switched to civilian attire.

Edited

But it could be taken that on some level, some people feel they have to keep reminding people of Catherine's background and her parents previous careers in the airline industry. I am sure the comparisons to 'airline' would not be used if that were not the case.

I know what you mean - it's definitely an interesting choice. It's a uniform, but not, and she's in the carriage. As you say the late Queen switched to day wear when she stopped riding ahead of the Troop.

Is it actually a uniform-or a dress-with-a-nod? Designers for both dress and hat are listed. I’m a bit disappointed- I usually love the Queen’s clothes.
