Seeing Charlene at the Monaco F1 followed by magnificent Maxima, has just made me think. We are going to the Dutch F1 in August. I might get to see Max in the flesh 🧡

Oh now that is a hat and a half! Actually keeps the sun off. (Would happily wear that!)

Actually interesting to see both Maxima and Charlene at different events going for white shirt and statement skirt looks. Both look lovely as well. I’m sure there was at least one white shirt and skirt look at Peter Phillips’ wedding. Seems a bit of a mini royal trend.

Sadly not one of Sarah's best looks. There's a fine line between looking chic in black and white and looking like the waiting staff!

Charlene was wearing a lovely red summer dress at the Monaco F1 in one of the links above. I can’t find it now but she looked great.

I don’t like Charlene’s blouse. It looks like she’s dribbled all down her front.

Yes I think maybe the blouse would be better if the embellishment was less concentrated in a band down the front. I suppose it’s meant to look like the feminine equivalent of a dress shirt but it does look a bit stuck on like a literal bib.
The “Felipe” effect still seems to be working a little on Albert, in that his suit seems to fit much better than usual, but he looks a bit plan and boring. Missing a waistcoat or cummerbund maybe! And is that a clip on bow tie 🤔

I just noticed none of the Kents seemed to be at the wedding. Are they second cousins ?

Yes, they were HMTLQ’s first cousins so second cousins once removed to Anne. It makes them quite distant for Peter’s generation.

No Gloucesters either but tbh I have cousins I barely know, let alone second and third cousins!

Tiara time! I don't actually like either of these tiara's actually. One too big, and one too spindly. However I appreciate the bling. Max has actually gone all out with tiara, big earrings, 2 bracelets and a stomacher. She could almost rival queen Mary for more is more when it comes to jewels.

I love Max's dress, not the colour so much, but the print. Amalia looks lovely, and I like the colour.

Are there cousins on Mark's side? I need a family tree ot the Phillips clan 😀

In the group picture it is unfortunate that Amalia is standing where she is in front of the fireplace pillar as it looks as though she's got a big white hat on (on a small phone screen anyway).

Where were the photos taken of Max and Amalia ?

The German state visit to the Netherlands. It was the opening night state dinner held at a royal palace (don’t know which one)

Marina's dress is an interesting iridescent number, it's quite nice, but the fit isn't great.
Shout out to her brother, Lord Downpatrick. That's quite an outfit, and his mother, the Countess of St Andrews, clearly agrees.
