Which dress for the evening do of a wedding only?

I’ve been invited to a family member’s wedding reception, evening do only. I don’t think it’s overly formal. Which dress would you wear?

My plan is to wear it with some sandals and a matching bag, so not too dressy.

The polka dot is the nicest imo but best of a bad bunch

Interested in what’s wrong with them?

None of them are great to be honest and look suitable for a wedding reception more like brunch and afternoon tea

They all look depressingly limp.

Is that your favoured style of dress?

I don’t really know what you’d wear to just the reception? I’m not invited to the ceremony (totally fine lol I’m not really that bothered) or the dinner, so I want to use something I’ll wear again (dresses are all ones I’ve bought with a view to taking them on holiday in the summer), rather than buy something I’ll wear once. What sort of style should I be looking for?!

i have the pink polka dot already, it looks really nice on (makes my boobs look amazing 🤣), the others are all on their way. Tbh I do just like a nice little midi, I find them light and floaty

I know it also sounds awful but I’m not really inclined to spend a huge amount of money on the dress I wear as I’ve not spoken to the couple for ten years! It’s a family wedding but I’ve honestly no idea why I’ve been invited

i adore this dress, but i can’t help but think that it’s a lot to then wear again, im not sure that I would!

Ah, well I’m the last person you need on your thread! Boobs are never the point of my clothes, and I like pretty much everything I wear to be so weighty it can stand up by itself.

Ah! I like my boobs to look good (only thing I’ve got going for me to be honest) and definitely prefer a light and floaty dress 😂

I think you need to show them to us with you wearing them. Things can look so different on the hanger.

Limp is exactly what I thought. They look like examples of the really depressing over worn, over washed can't be arsed ironing it, worst of Vinted.

I think they look ‘limp’ off but take on your shape when you wear them . I’d say they are lovely and very suitable for an ‘ afters ‘ !

This one has become probably the favourite thing I own, it’s gorgeous! It’s a really nice fabric too, not too heavy but also not too thin
