What jackets are we wearing with barrel legged jeans?

Surprised myself to have bought some barrel jeans today and how much they suit me. I’m good for tops but wondering what jackets you wear with yours?

I can’t bring myself to do double denim.

HOORAY I have literally just bought a fab Oasis bomber from eBay.

Short and boxy. I got a lightweight stone coloured one from hush last year, and a classic denim for non-denim barrel leg trousers. I’ve also got a shorter barn jacket from M&S that works.

I've got a couple of bomber styles and I also wear a longer length blazer which I think works really well. My jeans aren't particularly big barrel style.

I also bought barrel leg jeans today, cropped ones. Hugely flattering. And I also thought the same thing. I gor these and am delighted with them.

i have this leather jacket, it’s in tan,not pink, as it’s an older season and it doesn’t work very well at all. Wrong shape.

I have a suede jacket in a similar shape to your successful one. Will give that a go :)

Mine are mid rise (actually pretty high but not ridiculously above waist) so may meet a jacket… I thought they weren’t for me but was pleasantly surprised. Saw them on someone yesterday and decided to give them a go. She wasn’t wearing a jacket, damn her.

The Me+Em jacket is nice but I think it you'd need to try it with the jeans - I don't see it working.

I bought this to wear with barrel and baggy curve jeans and I love it.

I didn’t think barrel legs were for me, but I tried and bought some from mint velvet and then bought a non denim pair from Uniqlo. I am short in the leg and longer torso. Both mid rise so the proportion worked well. I love them now! In fact they’re both a bit winter-y, so might need a new pair…

I bought the car coat yesterday. It's gorgeous.

Another vote for short and boxy. I’m mainly wearing mine with short, boxy chunky cardigans from Whistles as I have 4 of them.

I'm feeling quite proud of myself here.

(I'm not a huge fan of barrel-legged jeans or short jackets because they don't suit me, but as @Charlenedickens pp, "You need to look at shape.".)

It's gorgeous, really nicely made, good quality. The website said there was one in store and a lovely assistant actually went to find it in the back and came back with one in the next size but it fits perfectly. I was thrilled - so often you're fobbed off that all the stock is out, blah, blah.

I'm a petite shortie so I prefer a more fitted silhouette on top to balance out the fullness of barrel jeans.

Im not sure about barrel jeans but that pink me & Em pink leather jacket is gorgeous.Such a shame it’s sold out in my size

I'm going to go against (most of) the grain here. Despite being a shorty I'm finding longer length (top of thigh to mid thigh ) blazer or shacket style jackets work well and look more modern than the cropped look, as long as - and this is crucial - the layer underneath is slim fitting and waist length .
