I love the Tana Meadow but £235 for 100ml Confused

CornishPorsche · 13/04/2026 19:56

I wish they'd pop some make up in occasionally - mascara, eyeliner, blush, that sort of thing. Reasonably neutral / punchy stuff that could work on multiple skin tones. I appreciate that's hard to do for the spectrum of the colour of skin, but surely mascara is possible?

And I wish we could have an opting out of perfume option. I have chronic migraine and most things set me off....

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 13/04/2026 20:05

I feel like that @HardyFox. I'm trying to trim bills and subscriptions and consider cancelling Liberty regularly, but I was looking forward to the latest box. I use the subscription as a premium beauty/skincare saver and wait until I can purchase something I usually wouldn't justify because I have 'liberty credit', as though it is its own currency.
Worth it to keep going with it? Not sure.

Oh wow! That sounds amazing! 😍 Did that stop due to covid?

I stopped going when I had a baby and babysitting hours were precious. It was a very early 00 thing and was heavenly. I remember being given tickets to see a Westwood catwalk! All very dreamlike.

i love my box. It was waiting for me when I got on from work. It had been dumped on the doorstep but DD rescued it so I said she could open it. There’s something very special about watching someone else look at all the beautiful pretty things!

The handcream looks so chic, I might ask my mum if she would like it but really I want it next to my bed.

The Swimming Pool perfume is divine. It smells like a classier version of Be Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful/Lush Dirty perfume.

I wish I hadn’t cancelled my subscription now-I think the experience was worth £15.

I'm happy with this box overall. I love the non liberty perfume and a couple of the other products are either old favourites or things I am keen to try.

I haven't got on with any of the liberty branded perfumes so far though. They all have an odd rubbery smell to me.

Yes- a really strong chemical smell. There has only been one I’ve liked.

Has anyone noticed certain brands dropping off from Liberty? I save my beauty drop money to spend on fragrance but they seem to have stopped selling my favourite brand Maison Margiela. It’s the same with certain skin care products, they stock them for a while, sell out and don’t replenish. It’s quite frustrating when you can’t buy your preferred items!

Boots stock Maison Margiela now and have a 20% off offer. I know that doesn't help you with Liberty points to spend, but might be worth keeping in mind if you rack up Boots points.

I’m a fan of all the moisturisers in this one. I have papery dry skin and moisturise like crazy all year round, so it will all get used. I like the Swimming Pool perfume - haven’t tried the Liberty one yet. PK = meh for me. But I’m saving my credit for the AC and should have enough by July to buy it outright without any extra ££, so it’s all gravy.

Nearlyhealthy · 13/04/2026 21:23

I like the Tana Meadow a lot, but the Bibbi smells like toothpaste to me. Foot cream I use anyway so I guess it’s at least useful, handcream I should use much more than I do so I’ll give that one a go. I tend to put that type of conditioner on my hair under a swimming cap when I go to the pool in the hope that it might help protect a little bit so I’ll use that. And the face cream is yet another that I’ll use but I’m pretty sure not be tempted to buy. So overall I agree it’s not a dreadful box but not an exciting one either. I really don’t particularly want to smell of toothpaste.

Update, having put both on my wrists a couple of hours ago the Bibbi has now lost its mint and the remaining scent is a lot nicer.

HellsBells67 · 13/04/2026 21:25

I agree, the BIBBI scent is nicer a few hours later but I never want a perfume I have to suffer through the initial boak to get to the nice dry down.

Does anyone else find the hand cream very runny?

Nearlyhealthy · 13/04/2026 21:31

@HellsBells67 yes on both points. I want perfume to smell good straight away and the handcream consistency surprised me too.

wheresmyshoe · 13/04/2026 22:06

Mixed for me, odd to include PK, like the perfumes but a bit mean in sizes, foot cream will go to DH horrid feet.

WeAreBorg · 14/04/2026 08:13

Hand cream, foot cream and PK.
What next? Toothpaste and bum cream?
Frivolous and slightly bizarre stuff next time please!

Lovelysheep · 14/04/2026 08:26

I wouldn’t mind Bum Bum cream. Or some really posh toothpaste, in a pretty packaging, is it Marvis? But maybe not give Liberty any ideas.

BCSurvivor · 14/04/2026 08:52

So long as there's no more random incense things!
I never know what to do with incense, but I love a scented candle!

restingwitchfaces · 14/04/2026 10:39

I suspect the handcream is old, it has that slightly fusty smell to me so i've emailed GA with the batch code asking for the expiry date - i wouldn't mind so much if the boxes were free but they are being paid for to some extent so they shouldn't be shifting expired stock. On the other hand i love the Bibbi.

CornishPorsche · 14/04/2026 10:48

@restingwitchfaces thanks for doing that, I wouldn't have considered it! Hope you get a response - am very interested in the outcome.

IlovePond · 14/04/2026 10:51

Oh no - emu oil!🙀I put it on my feet last night, now I want to scrub them clean. It’s going straight in the bin - just yuk!

I loathe all the Bibbi perfumes I have tried - this one is particularly vile imo, plus it’s a tiny free sample.

I am suspicious about the age of the GA now - off to check.

The only thing I am on about is the moisturiser - but I am now wondering how old that is now as well.

BakeOffRewatch · 14/04/2026 10:59

I’d be really upset about expired stock!

IlovePond · 14/04/2026 11:07

The last two digits of six on GA products are the year, the next two are the month and the last two are the day.

My GA cream is from February 2024. It’s probably ok as the rule is 30 months from manufacture, but it’s not impressive on Liberty’s part to be sending something out so close to its recommended use by date.

I suspect all the bigger products in these boxes are old/getting close to use by dates.

If my h/cream seems off, I will be contacting CS.

On a related note: I have just scrubbed my feet and slippers🤢

arhhh you've worked out the batch code, mine looks like its 24152A, is it the same as yours?

KeepingMoving · 14/04/2026 11:16

I actually love this box. Margaret Dabbs is the queen of feet. Generally, not keen on Bibi but this one is more feminine. The face cream I will definitely try and just running low on hand cream so perfect timing. Philip Kingsley does seem to be on repeat but it works on my hair. Best box for a while.

That's the same as mine.
I'm drowning in handcream at the moment so wasn't going to open this one, but after seeing the comments I have.
I love GA, but the consistency of this one seems a thinner than usual and the scent just isn't there.

IlovePond · 14/04/2026 11:32

@BCSurvivor and @restingwitchfaces

I think I misread mine and it’s January 24 - same as yours.

You can find out for sure by emailing GA at:

IlovePond · 14/04/2026 11:35

I’ve just emailed them.

BakeOffRewatch · 14/04/2026 11:41

Mine is 24152A too. Thanks for looking into it @IlovePond
