This is the thread where we are all bright orange from Vitamin C overload. Luckily we have a truck load of Bronze Primer to cover it up. 😂

Last thread was probably another speed run record. Let's hope there's no March Madness. We're in need of a break.😳

As always anyone welcome to join and contribute. Although you shouldn't if you know what's good for you. 😉

@IlovePond I am scared of retinol too 🙂

Thanks @CorneliaStreet, yes chatGPT has told me to try azelaic acid and and/or tranexamic acid for the pigmentation - especially as I have melasma specifically. I'm thinking of buying some Allies of Skin serums but they're very expensive. Anyway I'm going to wait a while to give my skin a rest first.

user593 · 03/03/2026 16:30

@namechange0998776554799000 Have you tried the Caudalie Vinoperfect range? This worked well for my pigmentation before I moved onto the ‘hard stuff’. Also microneedling (if you think your skin would tolerate it), although it’s expensive.

I think Evri have ‘mislaid’ my second CB fairy box. Their message tells me that ‘it has been unexpectedly delayed’. Bother.

i've got exactly the same problem :( but compounded that i have 'sold' 2 of them on ebay .. as they should have arrived yesterday .. and ebay expects dispatch within 2 days!

I don't suppose anyone is within relatively easy access of M25 junction 16 and have 2 spare to sell me?

Yes I have some! I tried a sample size for a few weeks then bought a full size. I've been using on non retinol/vitamin c days. It hasn't made any difference yet but I may stick with it

IlovePond · 03/03/2026 16:57

It doesn’t look like I will be buying anything from SK, or indeed from anywhere else for a while!

New cc on PP keeps adding large amounts of extra money to my authorisation, (which makes no sense - if you can’t pay £50, why could you pay £70?) Existing other cc just got blocked for ‘suspicious’ activity because I was trying to buy from a Korean company 🙈

I even tried PO paid in three but it said it wasn’t valid for my cc!

I am really fed up as it was a great deal. I don’t want to link my bank account to PP and can’t think of any other way to add money to my account.

Meanwhile my main CC, (which I have had for years, it’s just a new card), is apparently now useless for online transactions via PP!

I am open to suggestions on how to resolve this.😿

I hope yours turn up soon. Your need is greater than mine, I’m just a hoarder 😂

Oh that’s a nightmare! Hopefully it gets resolved soon. I can’t understand why it would keep adding to your total? Has a quantity changed? ie cat walked on the keyboard?

No suggestions sorry, I never link my card either, it’s too easy to spend. Hopefully it’s a software bug and will resolve overnight.

Hi everyone. Love these threads but rarely ost as they move so fast!
I ordered and erborian red correct as I have some broken capillaries on my cheeks which I hate. Added small sizes of the cc and bb creams and they are fantastic. Never tried before as my skin can be really funny with niacinamide. I've ordered full sizes of both now, has anyone tried any other eborian products and would recommend?

Almost spent silly money on ordering Dove body wash when I discovered they do a precleanse balm and matching body wash but not in the UK.

spiralpink · 03/03/2026 17:41

namechange0998776554799000 · 03/03/2026 15:54

That's interesting because the only other product I was using was the medik8 niacinamide peptides 🙈 I thought niacinamide was mild so I was using that everyday, before the vitamin c/retinol. I just finished the bottle last week!

I started using the haru haru black rice probiotic barrier essence really intensively at night like the 7 skins method and my skin was really breaking out and actually quite itchy - that was the thing has made me twig and I went back through all of the things I'd tried and found niacinamide in them all. Still not believing it I tried something else which had it in, and that was the last straw - such a shame as everyone raves about how good it is for barrier!

I use Klarna for SK purchases - then pay Klarna off with my CC. It has always worked fine. Could you try that as an option? You should still have the same protection that you would have with PP.

IlovePond · 03/03/2026 18:03

@Sminty2 - it’s because it’s a new card - it’s happened before but usually stops if you suspend the transaction and start again, but not this time!

IlovePond · 03/03/2026 18:20

@keepincool - thanks for the idea - I have never tried Klarna.

The extra payment is also being added to any other PP purchase with my new card number so that will severely curtail my spending unless it rights itself, (probably not a bad thing!)

I have resolved the SK issue by getting DH to send me £20 to my PP wallet, (I already had done TCB money in there), and the payment to SK has gone through. He wasn’t happy about it, to put it mildly!

However, it was too good an offer to miss: SK are giving away the Aromatica Rosemary Holiday set with Aromatica purchases over a certain amount- which is a brilliant GWP!

Doglover73 · 03/03/2026 18:38

Talking of skin and reactions. Mine looked ok the other day. For me anyway. I was sat in car earlier, sun was out and my chin is red and spotty. 🤔🫣
I tried the naturium wash from spnk advent yesterday morning and my skin felt dry so not using again. This morning I used the demalogica from next box like i usually do and my skin still feels dry. So annoying. My skin also reacts to the sun. So will now take it easy for a few days and not use Niacinamide ever again. 🫣🙃😕

I've only tried the CC red correct cream. Also love it. I'd like to try the centella range but I have too much to use up at them moment.

Hope your skin is better soon @Doglover73

I know I am allergic to plumping agents in lip products, (whatever they are), and I’m allergic to all Nivea stuff- have been ever since I was a kid, (so in a way it’s nice to know they haven’t changed their formula!)

It’s such a minefield knowing which ingredients/serums go well with/react badly with each other. There was someone on a previous thread who was really good at ingredients and what went well with what, but I can’t remember her username.

user593 · 03/03/2026 19:13

Not skincare but I have had hives (on my body, not my face) for over 10 days now and it suddenly occurred to me the other day it might be a new vitamin supplement I was taking. It’s certainly calmed down in the last day or two since I stopped taking it but not completely gone. I’m not allergic to anything and have never had hives before so it really took me by surprise!

Sminty2 · 03/03/2026 19:24

I’m going to search through my stash for things with niacinamides and put them to one side. It’s not something I had considered before but it’s definitely a possibility. Thanks everyone.

Thelifeofawife · 03/03/2026 19:25

Thank you, hive! You’ve reminded me that I wanted to try the Eborian red correct. I’ve just gone on to SNK to order it, and it was showing £20 for £100 spend in the app. So I got the bridal edit as well, as I had it sat in my basket for consideration. Plus I had £15 in points, and I got my free candle that they sent me a code for.
SNK did email my birthday code but it’s not working. I can’t be bothered with the faff so I’ll just call in store to try to get it at some point.

Safe to say that no spend March isn’t going well either!

Oh, my M&S order arrived today, so I need to check that. Looking forward to trying the neck cream

I was the same when I bought the same kind of thing - I just bought it straight away and was so pleased with the bargain!

I couldn't work out what the point of it was as obviously Vinted don't pay them and do refund the buyer. I think maybe it's something about claiming the delivery company has lost it...

Sorry you have had a similar experience.
I was thinking the same about what these scammers actually achieve, as no money comes there way unless we receive the item and confirm all is ok. 🤔

IlovePond · 03/03/2026 19:36

@user593 - vitamins and supplements are another minefield! I use the lowest rate of Vit D and ditto B12 after GP advice but am so reluctant to attempt anything else.

I would love to try the hair supplements/the g…s word, but I am too risk-averse.

user593 · 03/03/2026 19:39

@IlovePond I’ve never had a reaction like this before. I used to take the Nue Co hair supplements which were great. Do you get hives from vitamins? I didn’t even know it was a thing until I Googled it. Everyone was saying have you changed your body wash, shampoo, conditioner, laundry liquid, etc. Vitamins never occurred to me.

namechange0998776554799000 · 03/03/2026 19:45

My M&S sparkly neck cream arrived today and I had such a dilemma: I want to put the pot out somewhere I can see it every day and enjoy the sparkliness but that will be very conspicuous to DH (who was unimpressed by the Evri man bringing my 3 packages yesterday). I've hidden it for now 🙈
