This is the thread where we are all bright orange from Vitamin C overload. Luckily we have a truck load of Bronze Primer to cover it up. 😂

Last thread was probably another speed run record. Let's hope there's no March Madness. We're in need of a break.😳

As always anyone welcome to join and contribute. Although you shouldn't if you know what's good for you. 😉

I am not expecting an amazing bag as £50 doesn’t go very far on full priced so am guessing 4 products and am
hoping they are ones I don’t have.
I bought the Morphe brush set and can say I am loving them and highly recommend them. I also picked up a travel set and they have been perfect for a few days away.

I have the travel set too which is really good. I particularly like the foundation brush.

@Thelifeofawife @IlovePond I also got an email saying I'd moved up to level 3 (I thought I already was level 3???) but no voucher.

Any blusher brush recommendations please? I’ve credit I’d like to use in LF if possible.

JoRaRaRa · 17/03/2026 19:08

Can anyone recommend a really good brush cleaner?

The ones I use are Elizabeth Arden, No7, Hourglass and Patrick Ta. I don't think you can get any of them from LF though. I think Patrick Ta is my favourite.

Isoclean. The bottle with the dip tray and a microfibre cloth. So satisfying dipping brushes in the liquid then swirling on the cloth until they come away clean

I've got 2 bottles of Eco Clean and an Iso Clean spray. I use the spray for quick cleans between applications and the Eco Clean to properly clean.

I didn't find it to be amazingly effective at first until I bought one of these silicone bowls to use it with. Works a lot better than just running water and fingers.

I do already have a little textured bath to swirl them in, so it's just the liquid I need. Good idea to have a in between spray. Is ISO quite strong? I think I need a strong one 🙈

TragicMuse · 17/03/2026 19:28

I tried isoclean but wasn’t impressed. I should give it another go!

normally I use shampoo and a textured silicone thing to scrub against.

Btw: Did anyone get a second £10 off voucher after buying more CB perfume samples? I did a second 5x£1 deal today but didn’t get a second £10 voucher.

It’s not that I want one particularly, or think it’s unfair just to get one, I was just wondering if other people were getting a second voucher.

Thanks

I bought more samples and haven’t got another voucher. It’s been about 48 hrs so assume I won’t now!

It stripped paint off my fireplace so I’d say yes 😅

I really like my SAIE brushes. I have three and can do pretty much everything face-wise with them.

The MAC GWP is now working with MAC (it wasn’t before!).

Could probably get by with two actually as one is just a bigger version of another. I also like that they have flat bottoms so I can stand them up - which is really useful!

I saw a tip somewhere about using detol bar soap to clean brushes and it is really good! I've got one of those little knobbly silicone things, I dip my brush in some warm water and then on the soap, then in the knobbly thing and it is like magic. Very inexpensive, I think two bars were about £3 and I like that it's antibacterial, so they get a good clean. I tried isoclean and other similar things, they are good for a quick clean now and again but I'll never move away from the detol soap again, it's really satisfyingly effective!

Hicupping · 17/03/2026 19:48

On Sunday spent £40 on BBC on Monday they did free perfume edit with £40+ spent😫

If it's any consolation it wasn't a great gwp even though the spend was reasonable. The picture was tad misleading as it showed both the boxes and the perfumes outside of the boxes which made it look like there was more. I zoomed in and decided there was nothing I especially wanted.

Thanks @user593

@OvaHere - maybe it might be worth messaging LF? I was surprised to get £10 today, but it worked out well for them, because I would NOT have bought that perfume otherwise!

I do the same, either dettol soap or simple soap bar, silicone dish and warm water. Then wipe the excess water with kitchen towel/paper and leave to air out. They come up like new every time

I suspect what happened is you only get a voucher the first time you go up a tier. I've been at Level 3 before but I haven't bought much from LF in the last year. It's only in the last few weeks I've purchased a few things again so maybe I'd dropped down and now gone back up.

@keepincool - oh dear / the pharmacy box looks great 🙈

IlovePond · 20/03/2026 11:12

The five samples for £5 deal is back on the CB site. I have fallen in love with JM cypress, (which is very annoying as I used my £10 voucher on the ‘just ok’ JM seasalt).

I have therefore ignored my own small sample ban and ordered some more of the JM cypress - I am not paying £24 for 9ml when I can get 7.5ml for a fiver!

Code: ANNIIECB gets free next day delivery as well as 20% off some things, so I tossed in a face mask to avoid postage costs. Total cost: £7.

I must NOT buy anything else!

At least I appear to be immune to the siren call of the make up offers/edits.
