This is the thread where we are all bright orange from Vitamin C overload. Luckily we have a truck load of Bronze Primer to cover it up. 😂

Last thread was probably another speed run record. Let's hope there's no March Madness. We're in need of a break.😳

As always anyone welcome to join and contribute. Although you shouldn't if you know what's good for you. 😉

Just realised this is a new thread. Thank you @OvaHere!
Someone was asking about micro current devices, I am sorry I can’t find the question to identify the poster. Strictly microcurrent (not mixed with radio frequency, LED or anything else), I do recommend Foreo Bear 2. I had the original version and was very pleased with it and upgraded to version 2 as soon as I heard about it (and could justify the spending with some unrealistic girl math). But you need to use regularly. It takes a few minutes and you don’t need to do it every single day. It definitely keeps the jawline neat and it sort of re-sets the overall contours of the face. It is subtle but it works.
I had a Ziip Halo, never got to even take the sealed wrapper off so I gifted it to my mother in the end. She likes it but finds it takes a bit too long to use. She is however retired and I pointed out to her that she can easily find the time and if she wanted to. She seems to waste a lot of time nowadays just faffing. I think she gets tired more quickly than I realise and simply takes her time doing everything slowly. Feeding her dogs probably takes her nearly 2 hours every day because she prepares it from fresh, a certain combination of ingredients, it needs to be different temperatures for each dog and they need to eat in a certain order and this and that. The dogs finish each feed in under 3 minutes when I watched them!!!

I have the Foreo Bear 2 and have just ordered a Ziip Halo from Vinted because it was a good price and I am thinking it might work miracles! Think I just wanted to buy something after my low buy February 😏

I’m in the doghouse here. I inadvertently ordered half of Asda in a food shop and we don’t have any storage space. I realised I had ordered wrongly but it was too late to amend and it’s just arrived🙀 DH is currently counting tins from the back room and shouting out numbers in an increasingly grumpy tone.

I’m sorted for canned goods for the next few months and have put some aside for the food bank.

He’s just moved on to washing up angrily, so that’s actually a win of sorts 😹

IlovePond · 02/03/2026 21:39

When I ordered the perfume edit yesterday, (which was silly because I will probably hate all of it), I ignored the ‘free gifts’ section because it’s usually a subscription to razors or something equally pointless. Did I miss the perfume freebie, or did that just appear today?

Point him to the front page of any news site. He might be grateful for those tins in time and all the scented beauty stash things when we have no water or power.

@IlovePond I have just realised that I actually missed it too. I got an order with a free perfume sample, but that was from LF not CB. I also tend to glaze over as it’s usually a razor or hello fresh!

I feel like it only appeared today.

@JoRaRaRa 48 hours isn’t bad, I’m lucky if it’s still there later the same day 😅
On a couple of occasions he has replaced what he stole, but then because I didn’t eat it quick enough, he ate that too! 🙈😅

It was me asking about these, thank you, I’ll add the Foreo Bear to my list to deliberate over!

Branster · 02/03/2026 21:53

@pinkchampagne1you could re-sell one of them once you decide which you prefer- they do the same thing so you wouldn’t be missing out. So the net result will be that you didn’t spend money on a second device.

Branster · 02/03/2026 21:57

@ElizabethG81 keep an eye out for offers and don’t buy full price. The Foreo website has 35% offers a few times a year and the other websites selling this particular device would probably also have seasonal offers. Or if you have vouchers you could use for certain stores that might help. Whatever you do, don’t pay full price. And you can use a generic conductive gel from Amazon, much cheaper then the ‘recommended’ serum.

Branster · 02/03/2026 22:04

@IlovePondthat was a sensible food order in the current climate. This reminded me of my first ever online Tesco order. Back then, it was a list, like spreadsheet, and you filled in/selected what you wanted to buy. It wasn’t a website like now. On a significant number of consecutive orders I managed to order 1 apple, although I always wanted 1kg. I imagined 1kg would be about 5-6 apples, vague estimate. It took me a while to work out the unit meant piece of fruit not weight. Only DH eats apples regularly so he was disappointed with ‘this online food ordering nonsense’ for quite some time.

JoRaRaRa · 02/03/2026 22:09

@Thelifeofawife 🤣 I once promised my sister in law that I'd make some rocky road for my nephews birthday party, I bought all the stuff a week before, hid it at the back of a cupboard that I thought he never went in. Imagine my horror when to make it and he'd eaten the lot! His excuse was that he thought it was my secret stash 😱🤣 I made him go out and buy some ready made treats.

Also, the razors from FFS are really good 😍 I always use them now after first buying them in lockdown.

IlovePond · 02/03/2026 22:11

Indeed @OvaHere and @Branster - it’s worrying!

Your one apple 😹 @Branster reminded me of the time I ordered 1kg of fresh ginger instead of one piece! It turned out to be rather a lot of ginger and quite expensive!

Meanwhile, I googled the Kayali pistachio ingredients from the CB exit. The internet seems to think any nut elements are synthetic so it may be ok for me to use.

My Toni & Guy order arrived. I am impressed by the freebie: 300ml conditioner. Plus they have big discounts on hair care/products atm.

Apparently they are being so generous as it’s in honour of London Fashion Week! There were loads of freebies to choose from when I ordered but it’s now down to three, (including the one I chose). Presumably they have run out of the other items.

I reordered the Kerastase Genesis serum. I have no idea if it’s doing my hair any good, but I will continue to use it once a week after I have finished my current bottle, with a break in between.

I did this with bananas at uni, I put 1, meaning 1 bunch, and literally 1 banana turned up 🤣

IlovePond · 02/03/2026 22:15

Thanks for the razor info @JoRaRaRa

SheilaFentiman · 02/03/2026 22:18

I have a snack shelf for meeeee, it’s the highest shelf in the corner cupboard and even though the kids are taller than me now, everyone still respects the shelf.

I hadn’t thought of hiding beauty products at the back of it, though 😀

BlueLimes · 02/03/2026 22:21

I’m running out of hiding places for my mini eggs- last week I used one of the drawers of the spacenk advent - pleased I didn’t get found to decluttering it.

Family of chocoholics- I’m on borrowed time.

I used to hide good treats behind big (boring to them) vegetables (cauliflower, cabbage etc) on the top shelf in the fridge. No one ever found them.

TreesinthePark · 02/03/2026 23:08

Thanks for the new thread! I'm happy to be here with you all again and also with the new joiners 😊 That was good and hilarious advice to beware of the "code snatchers"!

My CB GWP via Vinted arrived on the weekend. I've now got a bag put aside to start Frankenstein Advent '26 so will put a couple of items in there. I'll give the Dr Levy mask a go because I like the eye serum I've had from them (I use eye products as full face products).

My CB fragrance edit is on the way. I knew I wanted the Kayali but the others I had to check if I already had them or not! Most are new to me so thats exciting. I've sent it to a shop for collection, think I've pushed my luck far enough leaving items at my door even on my very quiet cul-de-sac.

LouScot · 02/03/2026 23:12

Thanks all for the welcomes but I've accidentally misled you, I've not been here from the start but long enough to have bought 2 x Face the future mystery boxes (thanks @JoRaRaRa !), a cult beauty gwp, a stocking, several random things using Look fantastic codes (oh have remembered a Sol de Janero set i bought when someone posted 50% off code, no idea where it is!) and enough hard cream to last me all year thanks to one of @OvaHere's great boots offers ..

I did realise you weren't new, new but new from a couple of threads back. It's hard to keep track of names now. I think there was only maybe 6 or 7 of us on these threads back near the start.

I don't remember the Boots offer but glad you made good use of it! 😂

I’m loving all of your treat hiding places! I should actually hide mine in one of the various cupboards that DH never ventures. From time to time I put something at the back of a cupboard, because he very much is the kind of person that can’t find something that is literally right in front of him but partially covered by something else; he seems to be able to sniff out the treats though.

Re online food shops, my DB placed an order many years ago when my DF was on holiday, he got some sugar but accidentally ordered 5kg. He said he wondered why it was so expensive 😅

@JoRaRaRa Thanks for the razor recommendation. So funny that we have all completely dismissed it despite placing many, many orders, and yet it’s actually really good 😅

SheilaFentiman · 02/03/2026 23:58

Thanks @keepincool might have just got a LOT of varnish for just over £30!

@ElizabethG81 There are some good offers on the Foreo website now - got me looking!
