Older bride - what to wear with this sequin jumpsuit?

Second time bride here, mid 50’s. I’m getting married again in a couple of months and we are having a fun, informal family and friends wedding. I’m wearing the jumpsuit below, but have no idea how to dress it up (does it need it?) to make it more bridal. In particular what to do with my hair? A hat? A hair band? A flower? I have very short hair and it’s fine and menopausal so options are pretty limited! It’s from Phase Eight.

also any ideas for jewellery? Shoes?

the colour scheme for flowers is orange and pink (clashing!) My future husband is wearing a fabulous dark orange velvet suit, adult bridesmaids in a deep dark pink.

thanks all!

Personally, I would go for hair up in a lose wedding style messy bun (I’m assuming you’ve got length). As far as hair accessories go, I’d go for something with a sparkle like crystal styles. There’s some really beautiful clips out there. This will make your hair stand out from the guests. Make up, chose something that suits your usual look, and then glam it up so it shows in your pictures. Footwear wise, I’d go for a healed sandal personally with a satin texture to contrast the outfit. And then splash of colour on your nails if you like, or a nude or pink - something that is a nod to your natural style. Even a classic French will look nice. I’d probably then go for a small satin clutch, again I’m thinking a light bridal colour like a cream / off white.

Why do people not even bother to read an OP properly anymore? It’s right there in the first paragraph ‘I’ve got very short hair’

Many apologies. I missed that sentance. I did acknowledge with an ‘if’ in my note. Again, many apologies for missing a small detail. Of course OP is free to disregard some or all suggestions…

Noooooooooooooooooooo! Awful! It looks like it’s been made by a three year old given a free hand with the glue gun.

Don't hold back!!! I agree though (& how much?!!!!). Only Carmen Miranda could wear this ...

See my post above re the madness that overtakes usually sane women when it comes to fascinators/headbands/hats at weddings. They almost always look tacky or dated & I think it's best to avoid headwear full-stop. (I say that regarding guests mainly, rather than the bride - the more simple styles associated with traditional bridal looks are fine. But the OP isn't going down the conventional route.)
