It's the new-era high street jeweller

Tacky ? cheap ? thoughts ?

Wow the judgement!!! I have had some nice bits from there over the years. It does last and I wouldn’t say it’s cheap!! I don’t like all of it but then that’s the same for many other shops. It’s lasted better than Monica V stuff.

I think it depends on the piece. I’ve been complimented on my earrings. They’re quite classic and smart imo.

each to their own. Unless it’s an obvious charm bracelet I’m not sure you’d know whether a pair of hoops are pandora or elsewhere??

I would also be VERY wary of Etsy - some dodgy brands on there and it’s not that well regulated. Some of it is just temu re-packaged.

The people who dislike and hate/have aversions(!) to Pandora - where do you buy your jewellery?

Ribenaberry12 · 23/12/2025 21:14

The charm bracelets aren’t for me but I have a few of their rings. I mix and match the wishbone rings and bands with other stuff and really like them.

BlackCat14 · 23/12/2025 21:16

I think it’s lovely. I’ve got three beautiful bracelets and a pair of earrings from there. I have plenty of other jewellery but they are my favourites 🥰

TeenLifeMum · 23/12/2025 21:17

I have a pretty tennis bracelet and a lovely ring from Pandora and I love them both. Oh and nice earrings too. I’m not a fan of chunky bracelets but dd1 and dd3 like theirs. I wouldn’t judge anyone for liking them and it’s not seen as “chavvy” round here. It’s day wear rather than high end but better than Argos. Not sure why it gets mn hate, I’m not sure you’d identify mine as Pandora jewellery.

comoatoupeira · 24/12/2025 07:01

I like some of the designs but the production is low quality. I bought a ring for myself as a treat (something I never do) and was disappointed that the diamante fell off after three weeks.

There are just so many independent jewellery brands now so no need to go to Pandora. I have some stuff from them but won’t ever get worn. I get ideas from liberty then shop around.

I’ve never been in so wouldn’t recognise it, if you like it then buy it! People who like it will know where it’s from, the rest of us won’t know and just think you have a nice new bracelet/necklace etc.

I’m surprised so many who find it tacky, cheap, ‘conmon’ or chavvy are sufficiently familiar with it to recognise it.

I’m also surprised they would be so staggeringly rude as to use these
words about other women’s jewellery choices.

FancyNewt · 25/12/2025 07:55

It's well made jewellery for the price range. I have a bangle and a bracelet with a few charms on each. Both bought by people I'm close to for significant birthdays. I like them. I wouldn't add more charms as I think they look better with less.

Sidebeforeself · 25/12/2025 07:57

Well it’s not new. It’s been around for years

I think in real life, unless it’s one of the more recognisable charm bracelets, people really wouldn’t know one tennis bracelet from another.

people are more rude online - I hope!! I love one of my rings an would be upset if someone told me it was tacky.

I’ve got a pair of earrings a friend got me - they look as expensive as any fancy brand and currently had them over 10 years.

each to their own. I had non Pandora stuff too - some I like some less so.

MayaPinion · 25/12/2025 08:11

They’re the modern day version of the jangly charm bracelets of the 70s. I don’t have one but my DD (19) loves hers. She has charms that represent special times in her life - a holiday, winning a sports competition, etc. It’s associated with good times and I love that for her.

What's that? I have two Barbour jackets! Pretty much everyone round here has one. Posh market town full of dog walkers!

Old 80's joke, what's green and hangs off a prick? A Barbour.

My ds and dh had them, dh's smells rank, I make him hang it up on the shed because when he hangs it in the hall I can smell it. 🤣

Purplecatshopaholic · 26/12/2025 14:23

Expensive for what it is, and not nice quality imo.

Oh the wax ones? I just have the fitted quilted ones.

My husband got me mine years ago in New York. Since then the charms have been from him, colleagues, friends and family. Some have such lovely meanings and they represent my likes and hobbies, travels etc. It's nice people took time to choose nice charms that they thought reflected me.

I agree I don't think they are the most classy items, however the vast majority of people in the world aren't classy , and many of those who think they are just simply aren't!
