Rate my (vintage) outfit

for out out in a northern city tomorrow night. Food, drinks and inevitable dancing in gay bars.

Was originally thinking little black dress + heels but have decided I want to be more comfortable.

Will I do?

I know! All of my high heel wearing friends have been wiped out by their opioid addiction. I'm only here because I am tall and could never find trousers long enough for heels.

Those sorts of heels are actually easy to walk in. Spike heels are harder, although even they are wearable with practice.

Its the sort of thing I wear so yes to this. Although those sandals don't look 'comfy' to me (but I'd still wear them) LOL.

If the OP is going to be dancing in (eg) Manchester’s gay bars, a subtle black t-shirt is not the way to go 😂

I'm not sure I follow this line of thinking that going to a gay bar involves some sort of sequin wearing uniform dress-up. Gay people wear t-shirts as well you know.

I love it and wish I could pull off something similar but I'm too short, too fat and can't walk in heels!

I quite like the coat but it needs to be fluffier looking. I really dislike the jeans I'm afraid. The top would be good with everything else super minimal, like with black pants or skirt. The shoe again is a bit OTT in that ensemble. It is cute though. But comfy enough for dancing?

Reminds me of the lead in High Potential. And she looks great! Go for it. I don't generally like butterflies on stuff either as it can look a bit twee, but that top doesn't say twee to me.
