Rate my (vintage) outfit

for out out in a northern city tomorrow night. Food, drinks and inevitable dancing in gay bars.

Was originally thinking little black dress + heels but have decided I want to be more comfortable.

Will I do?

Love it all except the shoes- prefer stylish sneakers that are comfortable.

Coat is the only thing I'm not wild about. Also wearing anything warm on a night out in a northern city....err....

Why are heels so derided? Sometimes they make an outfit just right. We don't have to handmaid's tale it all the time.

It's ok to glam it up occasionally.

AND MEN WEAR HEELS TOO.

(I say classic, it's a couple of years old but feels classic).

I wouldn't wear the shoes - but then I am boring!

I had a similar top in the early 00s that I loved, I wore it with skinny jeans & my beloved mules.

I don't mind the top, but I'd probably go with a vintage popstar/rock band t-shirt instead. Love the jeans (wish I had the figure to wear them!!).

Agree with this, I'm not a fan of butterflies on stuff though. The shoes are amazing, easy to see where Esska got their inspiration. Also love the coat.

Not in a million years would my chunky thighs go into those jeans but they are perfect for the shoes and coat.

I like everything except the shoes. I’d want heeled boots in December.

The outfit’s ok - although as a teen in the 70s I probably wore all the items at some stage. Shame about the ‘dancing in the gay bars’ bit though - unless you are actually gay! Otherwise it smacks of ‘let’s all go and gawp at the gays down Canal Street for lols’ mentality.

It's fab, where are the shoes from (originally?) I used to have some just like that. Also, people saying they hate the jeans - can I ask why? I think they're damn sexy!
