I quite like today's perfume, but it faded really quickly on me.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 24/12/2025 07:03

Happy Christmas Eve everyone! Today has a fabulous drawer with two things that look very luxurious to me! A Votary serum and an overnight mask by Zelens. I’ve just googled them and they sound like they will make me young again 🤣! £65 and £85 respectively too!

Fabulous drawer!! Wow! Very excited to learn more about these products and try them out. Yay!!

countdowntonap · 24/12/2025 07:09

Would have been happy with today’s as two separate drawers, so this has helped to make up for a DOD for me today!
When I first groped around in the box this morning and felt two products, I dreaded it was a shampoo and conditioner! 😂
Have already enjoyed reading the reviews for these products whilst sipping tea in bed. They sound ideal for January which will be packed with brisk walks out in the cold; my skin always dries out so quickly.

Snapespeare · 24/12/2025 07:17

Very pleased with both of these and nabbed a couple of extras on vinted - I'll definitely get another liberty advent next year, (beauty drop) I nkw wonder if I should be looking at the other advent threads and stalking the best drawers on vinted/eBay too....

To all of those who are put off the mascara by the rubbish ones some received, please give it a go once you have a decent tube. It’s brilliant! I’ve worn it every day, and it has given me such great separation and lift - but most importantly, it easily stands up to the best tubing mascaras I’ve used in terms of longevity and not smudging over the course of the day.

I’m glad to see some love for this product!! It’s been my unexpected discovery! I struggle with mascara and this honestly has been the first mascara that doesn’t irritate my eyes, doesn’t smudge wildly yet washes off easily and gives me doe like lashes! I love it and would buy again!

AnnieFrancais · 24/12/2025 07:30

Haleluliah, jumped with joy !!!!!
I am very happy today: Wont say what, don't want to spoil the surprise:

Merry Christmas everyone, its been a good thread, taken us through the disgruntled drawers :) XXX

Ilikeyoursleeves · 24/12/2025 07:33

I already spoiled the surprise by my excited just past 7am post but it’s past 7am and I was excited! 🤣

I haven’t ever looked at this thread before I open my daily drawer #priorities!

Chickydoo · 24/12/2025 07:35

Happy today! The Zelens looks great. I woke up at 5.00am, so put some on & then went back to sleep for 2 hours. Skin already feels softer.
I have had a votary serum before, several years ago in another Lib AC. It's a fantastic product, shame the bottle is smaller than it used to be. Still happy though.

My replacement from Liberty came all dried out and clumpy, I think I am going to have to write to them again to complain...

Aw no, this is disappointing and must be frustrating. Definitely push for a replacement, hope you manage to get it sorted!

So did mine and liberty have handled it amazingly. Definitely contact them again. They said they were aware there were issues.

AnnieFrancais · 24/12/2025 07:56

I wasn't going to bother about the mascara but can't get the lid off the lip balm despite strong man trying hard so wrote about both: They asked for photos: Ive thrown the mascara away and if they don't sort that its fine but disapointed if they don't do something about the balm but theres not much to see in the photo, just the pot and box! Otherwise hubby will have to open with tools and Ill decant into a little pot: But at £60 the pot and the look has got to be half the value?
Is it brilliant? Im deperate to try it, I loved the ones from the last few years and they weren't anywhere near that value

redluckycat · 24/12/2025 08:29

I am thrilled with today’s - I’d have been happy with these as separate drawers! A mask which I was hoping for, and a retinol alternative serum too!

I really don't think you can complain at the variety of products in the calendar - yes, there have been multiple perfumes (much welcomed here as they’re all new to me and I don’t have beauty drops/ boxes etc), but they’ve covered pretty much everything else too.

Here’s my list with today’s added on:

Cleanser (Dr David Jack, £14)
Toner (Sisley, £57)
Serum (Emma Lewisham, £85)
Treatment lotion (Paula’s Choice, £42)
Retinol alternative (Votary super renewal serum £85)
Exfoliator (Dermalogica, £18)
Face mask (Zelens overnight repair mask £65)
Eye masks (Skin Cycles, £60)
Moisturiser (MZ Skin, £33)
Lip balm (La Mer, £65)
Body oil (Mirror Water £27)
Night balm (Verdejo, £30)
Sheer lipstick (Trish McEvoy, £22)
Brown eyeliner (Lisa Eldridge, £24)
Travel mascara (Jones Road, £9)
Lip/ cheek shimmer colour (Trinny London, £26)
Treatment shampoo (Naturaltech, £9.50)
Conditioner (Charlotte Mensah, £16)
Deep conditioner (Philip Kingsley, £21)
Hair argan oil (Maria Mila, £16)
Hair finishing cream (Larry King, £12)
Perfumes x 7 (£45/33/42/22.50/41.25/£0/£45)
Liberty print bag £28

£993.25

Netaporter · 24/12/2025 08:31

Now we’re talking my language! Love today’s.

For those wondering, these are both treat steps. For me, I’ll be using the melatonin mask in my evening routine straight after cleansing and I won’t be using an additional moisturiser (no need) perfect for ‘I’ve had too much to drink’ evenings 😉 The votary product I’ll use probably in the AM straight after cleansing.

I’ve cracked open the Emma Lewisham serum and it is rather lovely! We’ve some great products to try for the new year 🥰

redluckycat · 24/12/2025 08:45

And I love the mascara too - my first one was fine, and I said I loved it at the time. I’m amazed at its curling effect!

BIossomtoes · 24/12/2025 09:07

I’m delighted with the Zelens. It’s one of my favourite brands. I don’t like Votary generally so will be passing that on.

EdinaMonsoon · 24/12/2025 09:10

I was pottering in the kitchen until after midnight last night & before going to bed I decided to treat myself to an early calendar drawer opening…I was so excited to see the contents that it took all of my self control not to come straight to the thread & share that excitement 😂 Instead, I cleansed my face & liberally applied the Votary serum, followed by jojoba oil. My skin feels great this morning! As someone else said, these are perfect products for the bitter cold of January.

Thank you @Netaporter for the advice on how to incorporate them into usual skincare routine ☺️

I am going to spend a little time organising my bathroom cabinet today so that I can make full use of everything from the calendar. I feel like we’ve had some great products but some of them have been forgotten about.

Off the top of my head, the ones I will definitely repurchase are the Zepherine (sp?) perfume, the under eye patches, the Mirror Water & the cleanser.

EdinaMonsoon · 24/12/2025 09:15

Abou the mascara, my replacement arrived a few days ago. Still looks dry but will try it later today since it’s getting positive reviews here.

For those of you still waiting for the replacement, mine was sat on DH’s desk for several days while he tried to work out why Liberty had sent him a beauty product 🤦🏼‍♀️ He bought the BAC for me so they sent him the product even though I had contacted cs. Might be worth checking!

I think they must be told to ask for photos. One of my drawers was empty (the Bibbi perfume) and they asked for a photo... I dutifully sent them a photo of the empty drawer and they immediately sent out a replacement. Very strange.

BIossomtoes · 24/12/2025 09:32

Obviously they need photos to ascertain that a calendar was purchased. Any random could claim they had an empty drawer in a non existent calendar.

AndeanFlamingo · 24/12/2025 09:48

@BIossomtoes They couldn't because it's linked to your account. They know I've bought a calendar and didn't need to ask for any details to send the replacement because they already had my name and address.
