Rania oit and aboit in New Delhi. A pink blouse with contrasting Fendi skirt. It's Rania, so she's elegant as usual. I like the outfit, there's a bit of interest with the unusual neckline and the skirt overlay. Nice shoes.

When Zara gets it right, she’s bang on.
When she gets it wrong, like this effort, it’s awful.
I don’t think she suits the ditsy style prints.

Agree, quite a simple formula but works well on Rania.

eggandonion · 16/02/2026 12:09

Trinny and Susannah looked very necks didn't they? They didn't like higher neckline on the well endowed figure.
They were very rude to the women they were advising.

I mostly agree. I like the colour on Rania and the basic style. Polka dots are very now and the skirt works well. Where I disagree is the neckline. I have a strong aversion to random cutouts on any garments, but particularly with a high neckline. Totally pointless (why have something to keep your
neck warm or covered, then expose other bits) and rarely flattering (especially cold shoulder tops unless you have shoulders like Charlene) 😆

I don't think it's to be practical!

Oh no, neither do I, I just think it’s neither one thing or the other. Especially if it’s on a piece of knitwear, rather than a blouse 🤷‍♀️

I’m generally a lurker on these treads but I’m just back from a trip to Stockholm and there was a display of royal hats in the palace. Here are Princess Sofia’s hats

Thank you, @tinaabbot and welcome!
That's a nice display. I like the black and white hat, top left.

I'd love to try on all the hats! What a great exhibition .

Maireas · 20/02/2026 16:24

Those big saucer shaped hats always look very elegant, imo.

OP posts:
tinaabbot · 20/02/2026 16:37

The yellow saucer is my favourite also.

frugalkitty · 20/02/2026 17:45

Slinking in after a very hectic few weeks, I won't get a chance to read back but I hope everyone is well.

The hat exhibition reminds me of the hat section in Debenhams when I was a lass, I used to love trying them on!

Yes I thought that too. I remember going in with my mum and us dissolving in to hysterics because every single hat would fall down over my eyes as I seem to have quite a small head 😂

eggandonion · 20/02/2026 19:37

I have lots of family weddings just now which means I can go and try on hats. I have a wedding coming up and this will be the best part.

She looked stunning in pink.
Picture 19 is very Diana.

A good retrospective of 70s/80s style too. That first pink evening dress is the best of 80s fashion. I love the dress she wore taking her son home from the hospital too - really of its time and very chic.

HelenaWilson · 21/02/2026 19:03

She was so elegant, and many of those styles wouldn't look out of place today - 13, 14, 16 and 17, for example.

Maireas · 21/02/2026 19:05

Yes, I think she loved fashion and always looked chic. I used to love her Wimbledon outfits. Some of these pictured are very much of their time, I agree, but some could definitely be worn today!

Sorry, I meant picture 14 is very Diana.

The last one is Erdem, which she wore to Meghan and Harry's wedding. Kate has exactly the same dress!
