Best lip balm you’ve ever tried?

I’ve tried so many, nothing seems to be sorting out my dry lips. I’m pregnant and can’t breathe through my nose properly which I think is the cause! Can any recommend the holy grail of lip balms? I don’t mind spending ££ if it helps!!

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour, the one in the small tin

cheapskatemum · 16/12/2025 23:03

Lush Honey Trap lip balm is my favourite. I also use Burts Bees, which is good too.

MotherOfDD · 16/12/2025 23:35

Elizabeth Arden in a glass pot called eight hour intensive lip repair balm is the absolute best I’ve ever had.

Reevester · 16/12/2025 23:39

Vaseline and only Vaseline. I swear all the lip balms and even chap sticks are a con to dry out your lips more so you use them.

Crucible · 16/12/2025 23:50

Aloe Vera vaseline or if bad, bepanthen.

Gosling's Chop Saver. It's not just an emolient but also contains arnica and white willow to help with the swelling induced by "big blow" compositions like Mahler 5, or indeed the entire brass band repertoire.

I ran out of Chop Saver once and tried Burt's Bees, it just dessicated my lips. I now keep one stick in my bag and the next stick unopened in the fridge so I never run out again.

Okeefes night lip treatment in a pot. I just can’t get on with nuxe anymore for some reason. I’m trying to finish up a pot I have but it’s taking forever

WhatDoRacoonsSay · 17/12/2025 00:28

Blistex for overnight, Pleasing Big Lip for during the day.

Yellowcakestand · 17/12/2025 00:28

Burts Bees vit E with peppermint.

Some cheap olive oil thing from Cyprus.
Honestly, cost around 1.5 euro and it worked beautifully. Promptly lost it back in the UK and was gutted.

Livpool · 17/12/2025 11:11

The W7 overnight lip masks are great. Really emollient

winnerwinnertofudinner · 17/12/2025 11:16

Honestly? Lansinoh nipple balm 😆

MightyGoldBear · 17/12/2025 11:41

Burts bees I live by.

I have a pot full of failed lip balms, but I’ve finally found one that’s brilliant, Calypso spf30, my daughter and myself love it. After recently having treatment for pre cancerous cells on my lower lip, and it wasn’t pleasant, I now need a balm with an spf. I buy it in bulk from Amazon.

I was shocked to find that I had Solar keratosis, never thought to put an spf on my lips, even the sun cream adverts don’t mention it. The chemo cream I had to use was so painful, if anyone reads this PLEASE remember to use an spf 🤗

I'm booked in for a lip blush tattoo and have been advised to use Bepanthen for 7 days before (rub on lips, then wrap a finger in a face cloth, dip in water and gently rub on lips to exfoliate, finish with another layer of bepanthen). I've already started and its one of the best things I've ever used. I've been rubbing it in around my cuticles too and its healed them.

TomatoSandwiches · 17/12/2025 18:05

Eucerin dry skin intensive balm, I use Aqua something ointment over night, always fixes the day dryness if it is worse than normal.

dailyconniptions · 17/12/2025 18:05

Aloelips by Forever Living. Available on Amazon. Excellent lip balm.

LadyLapsang · 17/12/2025 19:16

I really love ameliorate intensive lip treatment. I slander it on before bed and let it work overnight.
