Best lip balm you’ve ever tried?

I’ve tried so many, nothing seems to be sorting out my dry lips. I’m pregnant and can’t breathe through my nose properly which I think is the cause! Can any recommend the holy grail of lip balms? I don’t mind spending ££ if it helps!!

O'Keefe's lip balm (and their overnight lip mask) work really well for me. Cheap as chips on Amazon.

Lanolips 101 for super dry lips

I used to used Clinique super balm which is much more £££ but that's disappeared from the UK. Lanolips is probably as good and about 10 quid

O'Keefes is good once it calms down a bit - I use Lanolips all the time when mine are falling off, and then lanolips at night and o'keefes during the day when they're behaving

Neutrogena Lips SPF 20. I got myself in a dehydrated, blistered pickle at a dry, cold conference and bought some to slather on throughout the day.

Before you brush your teeth so your toothbrush is dry use your toothbrush to brush your lips with. It’s great for getting rid of dead skin. Then put on some Vaseline after brushing teeth. Also drinking plenty of fluids dry lips is a sign of not drinking enough.

Rhode lip treatments. Specifically the strawberry one. My lips are amazing.

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 16/12/2025 15:58

Blistex

Shudacudawuda · 16/12/2025 15:58

Burt's Bees or Carmex are the only ones that really work on chapped lips from my experience.

MyFavouritePlace · 16/12/2025 15:59

Agree on Blistex

_nellie_ · 16/12/2025 16:00

nipple balm - I swear by it

something2say · 16/12/2025 16:01

Proper sore lips? Savlon. Two or three applications really sorts out dry lips.

Another vote for lanolips.

Mizztikle · 16/12/2025 16:15

I like the eos balm the round one and P Louise protect your pout.

Bellavida99 · 16/12/2025 16:19

Blister is amazing and soaks right instead of grease that just sits on your lips.

Sgtmajormummy · 16/12/2025 16:45

Nuxe Reve de Miel in a pot. Available at M&S last time I looked. It also helps to heal cold sores after the first breakout.

I don’t recommend L’Occitane lip balms as your lips feel uncomfortable if you STOP using them and no way do I want to be tied to a product.

Blistex intensive gets rid of chapped lips in 24hrs

Edited

I rec this on every thread about lip balm. Nothing else comes close.

Molton brown lip balm for men is the best I’ve used (in the blue tube) but harder to find and a close second is the Kiehl’s one in the white tube. The ones you can get in boots/without spending ££ don’t seem to work for me sadly

Bloozie · 16/12/2025 16:48

A layer of hyaluronic acid serum - HLA - sealed in with a layer of Aquaphor healing ointment. Use as an overnight mask. It's miraculous.

IggyAce · 16/12/2025 16:49

Nuxe the one in the pot. Used it for years and a little goes a long way.

Bloozie · 16/12/2025 16:49

Nipple Balm is also good.

Trotula · 16/12/2025 16:50

DrPawPaw lip balm on offer in Holland and Barrett atm £3. Can also use it on cuticles and brows etc. I usually use Vaseline but if extra dry the DrPawPaw is very effective and applies well.

Rigglebiggle · 16/12/2025 16:50

Nipple balm is the best thing I’ve used @Badsanta12! So nice and hydrating. It was a tip a midwife gave me in hospital!

potatocarbcoma · 16/12/2025 16:55

I’ve only ever found Burts Bees peppermint lip balm to be the only one that feels nice on my lips and actually helps soften them. It’s fantastic and less than a fiver. I’ve got about 8 as I always have one at hand in every coat pocket /handbag/on desk at work!
