Best lip balm you’ve ever tried?

I’ve tried so many, nothing seems to be sorting out my dry lips. I’m pregnant and can’t breathe through my nose properly which I think is the cause! Can any recommend the holy grail of lip balms? I don’t mind spending ££ if it helps!!

Caudalie lip conditioner

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour lip balm in a tin. Have only ever found it at airports though.

Came on to recommend this!! This stuff is amazing

Badsanta12 · 16/12/2025 21:43

I’ve tried Carmex, burts bees, Nivea and Blistex, they seem to work ok initially but don’t last very long. I’m going shopping tomorrow so will try and pick up a couple of the other suggestions!

Of course the other problem is that when I then need to apply lip balm, I can’t find one in the house or I don’t have one in my bag..!

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream is miracle stuff for any dry skin, including lips.

Waitingfordoggo · 16/12/2025 21:48

Oh! Just seen other recs for EA 8 hour. I’ve never used the lip balm, but the standard 8 hour cream is a miracle worker for any dry skin.

StarDolphins · 16/12/2025 21:51

Blistex for me! Not sure what it’s called but the one where it keeps coming out really fast as you’re putting it on!

Grizelofthechaletschool · 16/12/2025 21:53

Another vote for nipple balm. It’s the absolute bomb.

OldWave · 16/12/2025 21:53

Definitely lanolips/nipple balm -- anything with lanolin!

Mizztikle · 16/12/2025 21:56

Nuxe balm is good too but it’s on the pricey side of lip balms.

Namechangedndnf · 16/12/2025 21:58

Going to get some Blistex. Just binned a posh lip balm as my lips peeled after using it.

Namechangedndnf · 16/12/2025 21:59

Any good ones with a pinkish tint?

I rec this on every thread about lip balm. Nothing else comes close.

Might be too late but it was on offer on £10 Tuesday at Boots today. I’ve stocked up!

I also really rate the Clinique moisture surge lip balm too

24HoursFromTulseHill · 16/12/2025 22:03

Day time - Lip service by Lush

Night time - lanolin nipple balm as an overnight mask

thetruthisinhere · 16/12/2025 22:04

I’ve tried bloody hundreds and have a lip balm in every hand bag and I always end up going back to the palmers coco butter pritt sticks.

ChaliceinWonderland · 16/12/2025 22:05

Laniege are amazing.

OldMaaa · 16/12/2025 22:08

Aquaphor Lip Repair. I cannot stress enough how good this stuff is and I am genuinely surprised it hasn't been mentioned more on this thread.

I am a Lip Balm Addict (I have tried them all and more) - and sufferer of dry lips - but since discovering this product, probably 3 years ago now, I haven't purchased any other lip balm. It is so so so so so good.

SO GOOD!!

DoBeGoodDontBeBad · 16/12/2025 22:12

Blistex 'relief'. The one in the metal tube - not the plastic tube - that is rubbish.

It's the only one that ACTUALLY works. Heals sore lips instantly.

Nuxe Reve de Miel in a pot. Available at M&S last time I looked. It also helps to heal cold sores after the first breakout.

I don’t recommend L’Occitane lip balms as your lips feel uncomfortable if you STOP using them and no way do I want to be tied to a product.

Edited

I second the Nuxe one! I love it so much. I put some on every night and in the morning I can still feel it on my lips. I got mine from Boots online.

Mizztikle · 16/12/2025 21:56

Nuxe balm is good too but it’s on the pricey side of lip balms.

It is but it lasts me about 2 years and I use it every night so it seems quite reasonable then! 😁

ThatHazelSnail · 16/12/2025 22:16

I was really struggling with horrible dry lips a few weeks ago and bought the La Roche Posay one. I’ve tried just about every lip balm in existence and OMG it’s the best!

Leftsidefacing · 16/12/2025 22:18

Rilastil Lip stick balm

FeministThrowingAPrincessParty · 16/12/2025 22:18

The beauty pie lip balm is the best I’ve found but it does require a subscription so probably only worth it if you are going to buy other skincare from there (which I would recommend)!

Best lip balm you’ve ever tried?

Nuxe Reve de Miele. My lips used to get very dry and bleed before I started using this.

In that case it’s a bargain then lol. I agree It’s well worth the money even at its price point.
