Too old for pinafore dress?

I really like this dress from Nobody’s child but just not sure if I’m too old for this. I’m 45, around 7 stones and 5 2”. I normally wear jeans and knits so this look is very different to my usual style.

I wore mine today too with thermal tights, a thermal top underneath and chunky black ankle boots and I think I looked both weather appropriate and awesome 😁

I'm guessing it will be fine on the op as she is quite short and models (like the one in the photo) are usually tall so it won't be so "mini" dress on her and she has gone for the regular rather than petite so should be more decent.
