What do we think of these boots

What do we think of these boots to dress up jeans and a jumper in a comfy kind of way? Too much? Or ok? www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/f-mode-stack-leather-chelsea-boots-p-E2J#090

Not for me, sorry. I don’t like the huge platform.

PersephoneParlormaid · 08/11/2025 07:37

I’d break an ankle in them, but they look comfy.

PegDope · 08/11/2025 07:42

I think they’re ugly. The huge platform is awful. Sorry.

CalzoneOnLegs · 08/11/2025 07:47

Boris Karloff, Frankenstein 1931

pilates · 08/11/2025 07:48

On the right person they are ok but not for me.

Sparklesandspandexgallore · 08/11/2025 07:49

For me it would depend on how comfortable they are. If not extremely comfy then no, I’d go for something more stylish.
Ugly type shoes need to be comfortable Iyswim.

Glitchymn1 · 08/11/2025 07:50

I’d go flying in them- they remind me of those space x tense boots.

BastardtheCat · 08/11/2025 07:50

Depends what your style is OP. I love a chunky platform but has to be stylish.

Scrabbler · 08/11/2025 08:06

I like chunky boots but not these. The sole is too much, they’d be nice if it was half the thickness!

Terrytheweasel · 08/11/2025 08:22

They look very orthopaedic to me.

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 08/11/2025 08:38

Hideous - but I’m old so what do I know? 🤷‍♀️

CalzoneOnLegs · 08/11/2025 08:40

Lethal for driving, or actually impossible perhaps.

Squash34 · 08/11/2025 08:41

Thank you for the replies. Ive really bad feet and 90% shoes are out of the question. They are orthopaedic/ very comfy and I just liked the extra height they gave me as I can’t wear heels. I couldn’t decide if they just were too much of a statement or if they could be worn more low key on a casual night out with a shorter barrel leg jeans and chunky jumper. Perhaps just too much of a platform though…

I think they’re fantastic as I’m short, think fit flops are really comfortable and I LOVE the platform

Squash34 · 08/11/2025 10:09

Thanks for your thoughts Laurie ❤️

I don’t want them to be the focus of the outfit so would probably only wear them at night and hope they fade into the background but perhaps they are just too exaggerated and I’m clinging on to hope so I appreciate all the honest opinions. Could they have slight Claudia Traitors vibes or are they waaay, waaay off the mark and I need to forget about them….

I really like them....but I also love really chunky boots (verging on anime style!) so take that as you will.😄

KaliforniaDreamz · 08/11/2025 10:32

I really like them but try them first - I also need special bloody shoes (plantar fasciitis sufferer) and am short so like the height however I bought something similar recently and looked like a member of the gestapo.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/11/2025 10:34

Oh gosh, no. They’re horrid, sorry. Like boots for a club foot.

BellaCriesAndThatsAlright · 08/11/2025 10:36

I like them, but then I have quite an alternative style.

Squash34 · 08/11/2025 10:38

😂 oh dear that’s what I’m worried about…

OP posts:
Squash34 · 08/11/2025 10:40

Even though you could walk for miles in them….🫣

Mauvehoodie · 08/11/2025 10:42

I like them! I think you’d need to try them to see how they looked in real life as the pics of them on are all weird angles 🤔

Olivebranch123 · 08/11/2025 10:44

Not my taste but a good price for quality footwear. I'd rather have one decent pair of shoes than several crappy ones

walkingmad · 08/11/2025 10:46

Too much platform form for me but I'm tall
