What do you think of these trainers?

I'm having a bloody nightmare finding stylist but super comfortable white trainers. I started a thread on it but it didn't get much traction 😥

I've found these today - what do you think?

I'm slightly cringing at Pavers (I'm only 40) but I'm getting pretty hacked off trying to find a pair that looks good and is really comfortable.

LOL Pavers element aside (and I do feel your pain there!), I have some Reiker ankle boots and there are pretty comfortable! (Also 40)

I can’t say these are quite my personal style, I think it’s the over the top glitter and charm that put me off. But you may hate all my trainers!

I find Onitsuka Tigers really comfy but not the chunkier type that (I think) is the current trend!

I’ve been thinking about buying some Addidas bolds and I quite like them in off-white rather than bright white.

JoemarIerseyes · 20/10/2025 16:57

Not the sparkly ones!

Chewbecca · 20/10/2025 16:59

Pavers are really comfy! Why white though?

Sparklesandspandexgallore · 20/10/2025 17:03

I wouldn’t have a problem with buying Pavers but I don’t like the gold dragonfly.

DurhamDurham · 20/10/2025 17:04

I bought a pair of Skechers UNO Stand on Air trainers last year and they’re so comfortable, I now own four pairs. Wear them every day as I do a lot of walking socially and at work. They aren’t the height of fashion but they do look good I think. I’m 55 and haven’t ventured into Pavers as yet, maybe I should.

NessShaness · 20/10/2025 17:04

What about a good old pair of white Air Force Ones?

Alittlefrustrated · 20/10/2025 17:10

Too " trendy old lady on holiday" for me. I'm 56.
I do however own footwear from Pavers and also Sketchers.
It's the style not the brand.

Limth · 20/10/2025 17:14

I'm not keen on Air Force 1s, they're a bit boring. I like a bit of colour and pattern.

I've got these on order: https://www.zalando.co.uk/skechers-uno-trainers-whiteleopard-sk111a1uo-a11.html

Also cringing at buying Skechers 😬

I agree, if I bought the Pavera the dragon fly would have to go
But I quite like the sparkles

Sorry OP they are not stylish.
I see lots of people wearing New Balance, have you tried those?
Or sketchers as someone else has suggested although I don’t find sketchers stylish at all. I think in trainers it’s tricky to find style and comfort.
As @NessShaness suggested id go for AF1s but mine are high tops and the most uncomfortable trainers I’ve ever worn but then I will sacrifice a comfortable shoe for the aesthetic of it. 🤦‍♀️

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 20/10/2025 17:20

Not keen sorry. They look like little girl’s trainers with the sparkle and the dragonfly. Dont mind the shape of them though.

Limth · 20/10/2025 17:20

Chewbecca · 20/10/2025 16:59

Pavers are really comfy! Why white though?

I need white for versatility so I can wear them for work with smart-ish trousers.

I have black New Balance 327s and they're like slippers! But I don't think they look good in white - too much like sports shoes.

Love these! They don’t look comfy though…

Mencia · 20/10/2025 17:23

@Limth Adidas Japan, so comfy I have several pairs

amber763 · 20/10/2025 17:25

Surely black would be more versatile to wear with trousers? I dont like either, sorry.

Hereforthedramaz · 20/10/2025 17:26

I’m with you on Sketchers OP.

My mum at 69 has made the decision to only wear sketchers (and she sticks to it 100%) so that’s the death blow for me!

im with you AF1s are a bit over done and a bit too much of the teen’s uniform!

I appreciate you didn’t mention them but my friend happened to mention her white Air & Grace trainers were not comfy!

id try a few of the different Addidas styles if I were looking for white trainers.

it seems like it’s the court trainer style you like particularly?

possibly too trainery but I like the NB 370s

Limth · 20/10/2025 17:31

I actually had a pair of New Balance 370s arrive today too. They're comfortable but a bit trainer-y.

I'll have a look at Adidas Japan's. Thanks. I work with young people and I've noticed they all wear Adidas cpurt types. They're nice but a bit too popular and I don't really want to be dressed the same as my young clients 😅

I think white trainers for work is over as a look (if you care about these things, which it is fine not to). Instead, I would consider a trainer in whatever your neutral is - so, I have them in navy and burgundy (as I don't wear black) and perhaps in a suede. It's difficult to find what you want as it isn't in fashion at the moment, plus it's the wrong time of year.
I have these from Me and Em and they are really comfortable and look nice too. I have burgundy and chocolate brown, but their cream one is nice too and not quite as stark a color as white. What do you think?

I don't really like black trainers that much. I got then mainly for my black mom jeans. I prefer white court type trainers for smart casual work outfits.

SandboxSalsa · 20/10/2025 17:33

I would tend to go either super pared down or sports trainer-esque. How about Puma Speedcats? Either all white or with a silver swoosh? Or some New Balance dad trainers - eg the 740s if they also come in white. Or theres a nice cream/white mesh Samba variant (high backs, take a little breaking in).

Depends what your general vibe is a bit…

Neveranynamesleft · 20/10/2025 17:37

Dont get white for work, they will stand out too much and you look like you're trying too hard/ trying to be trendy etc. White will be a pain to keep clean this time of year too.

diddl · 20/10/2025 17:37

I think they're fun.

But then Rieker isn't known for style.

Comfortable & well made!

Kimura · 20/10/2025 17:45

Sorry OP, they look absolutely awful 😭

Have you tried Nike Dunk Low Pros? They're super comfy and there's some incredible collabs and colour ways, especially if you don't mind spending a bit more.

Same goes for Jordan 1s.

I agree with this too - despite suggesting white trainers I’ve not bought any myself for a really long time. But v much depends on your taste more generally, OP, as to what works and what you feel comfortable in.
