What do you think of these trainers?

I'm having a bloody nightmare finding stylist but super comfortable white trainers. I started a thread on it but it didn't get much traction 😥

I've found these today - what do you think?

I'm slightly cringing at Pavers (I'm only 40) but I'm getting pretty hacked off trying to find a pair that looks good and is really comfortable.

Red would be far more stylish atm.

RetiredGranny · 20/10/2025 18:08

I'll admit I'm old, and recommending Hotter but these are really comfy and white https://www.hotter.com/gravity-ii-trainer-shoes-white-sage-multi-320

Sorry, I don’t like any of the trainers you’ve shared OP. Also agree that it’s weird to get white trainers at this time of year for work. But if you must have white, why not get these from Mint Velvet.

Yes to adidas. I was in France a few months ago and all the women (younger and older) were wearing Adidas (mostly the white or black sambas).

Parnassia · 20/10/2025 18:15

I should apologise and say that I don't really get the trainers as shoes thing (I wear retired running shoes if aesthetics aren't important and proper shoes/boots when I want to look somewhat smarter), but as you're getting desperate maybe an outsider's perspective isn't a complete waste of time...

You could take a look at On running shoes (one of the cloudsurfer or cloudmonster models would probably be best for walking). If you want something more shoe-like then Ecco trainers are apparently very comfortable and some of the models have some style appeal.

I agree with @Ruthietuthie. I’d pick a neutral that goes with your work outfits. Burgundy, brown, beige / stone are all good. Adidas have loads of options.

I agree completely that every other woman around is in Adidas these days which is why I'd prefer to avoid them - too common

That's my point though, white does go with all my work outfits no matter what colour trousers, top or jumpsuit I'm in. I'm not that fussed if white trainers for work is dated, I like the look and I don't think it'll ever really date too badly.

I absolutely love my Fitflop Rally trainers: https://www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/rally-leather-trainers-p-X22#194

They are completely plain but that's why I like them.

staringatthesun · 20/10/2025 18:33

I think they are ugly, sorry.

Sagaciously · 20/10/2025 18:34

No. They are dreadful and scream ‘fun grandma’.

diddl · 20/10/2025 18:39

Well we're all different aren't we as I think the Adidas Japan are hideous!

SchoolNightWine · 20/10/2025 19:13

I’m on my second pair of Reiker pumps as they are so comfy - in the same style as your photo, but I prefer all white.

Limth · 20/10/2025 19:59

Okay, I'm hearing the 'fun grandma' feelings loud and clear. And I agree now I've gone back and had another look.

In terms of comfort Hoffs are good, and Puma.
You seem to have picked a few with a bit of leopard detail...how about these https://uk.puma.com/uk/en/pd/palermo-leo-sneakers-unisex/403044?swatch=01

londongirl12 · 20/10/2025 20:13

You’re only 40, step away from the Pavers and get some adidas ones 😂

londongirl12 · 20/10/2025 20:15

Just saw you don’t like adidas. There’s so many colour combinations though!
if you want that pavers style, lots of brands do them such as Ralph Lauren.

sausagedaug · 20/10/2025 20:30

I have far too many pairs of Nike Court Legacy Lift. They're so comfortable and come in loads of different colours and patterns. In fact this thread has inspired me to look for another pair!

Dawninglory · 20/10/2025 20:33

What about Veja?

ThisIsMyBurnerPhone · 20/10/2025 20:36

They’re Nana shoes

ruethewhirl · 20/10/2025 20:39

Ooh, I like those! But then my tastes do tend towards the blingy. 😄

adidas campus are soooo comfortable, prob best I’ve ever felt on. Also Sambas another one too look at. Both trendy too and loads of colours

Too " trendy old lady on holiday" for me. I'm 56.
I do however own footwear from Pavers and also Sketchers.
It's the style not the brand.

I have a bunion, flat feet and arthritis in a big toe. I have several pairs of Pavers shoes because they are comfortable. I also own Skechers and Rieker because they make footwaer for people who don't want sore feet.

I'm too old to worry about having fashionable feet. I just want to be able to walk.

And white trainers in winter?
