What do you think of these trainers?

I'm having a bloody nightmare finding stylist but super comfortable white trainers. I started a thread on it but it didn't get much traction 😥

I've found these today - what do you think?

I'm slightly cringing at Pavers (I'm only 40) but I'm getting pretty hacked off trying to find a pair that looks good and is really comfortable.

Pavers = perfect for the trendy Nan look.

Pavers do a lot of trendy nan shoes. They also sell some stylish and comfortable shoes that even my 25 year old daughter likes.

Just as Skechers have ugly trainers, they also make trainers that look like other more popular brands that are acceptable to people who sneer at other people's choice to wear shoes that don't hurt their feet.

Are these your gold ones? They're fabulous!

Nora Natural Soft Metallic - Gold – woden.com

Are they water proof?

Mine are older versions of the Nora and not on the website now, they are a darker gold with black laces and I love them!
Not sure about waterproof, but worn mine round rainy Edinburgh and don’t remember having wet feet.

I bought a pair of Skechers UNO Stand on Air trainers last year and they’re so comfortable, I now own four pairs. Wear them every day as I do a lot of walking socially and at work. They aren’t the height of fashion but they do look good I think. I’m 55 and haven’t ventured into Pavers as yet, maybe I should.

I agree with your description of Skechers. They are wonderfully comfortable.

Thank you. Cork soles scare me a little bit - are they really soft? Comfort for long walking is the primary ambition!

Yes, not hard like Birkenstocks or anything. Supportive and good for walking loads.

I really don't get the Skechers hate, i've been wearing them since my 20s, they're comfortable and stylist.. i just avoid the fuck ugly ones.

ATM the pair of trainers i have are my foot saviours as i have PF because of awful gait issues from my disability.

Me neither.

Well I hope all the super cool fashionistas of the world don't scoff and snigger as much in real life as they do on here. My poor 19 year old DD would love to wear trendy stuff but can't because she inherited grans awful bunions so most simply don't fit. Skechers do. Poor kid but it's hardly a rare condition.

Thank you. The returns for Woden aren't too simple so I'm actually negotiating on a pair on Vinted to try before I commit to buying new ones 😂

I was going to suggest that! I only bought mine at full price as I found them in a boutique and could try on!

Have you looked at fitflop? There’s some white trainers in their outlet?

Wonderwoman333 · 22/10/2025 08:08

They look like trainers for a pre schooler. It's a def no from me!
