I just opened the the new Medik8 Vit C serum this morning. It was next in my stash to try in the hunt for the best Vit C. Obviously I've only used it once but so far I'm liking it.

I've discovered I just don't like the watery ones like Skinceuticals. I've just used up a Drunk Elephant one that was similar and couldn't wait for that to be finished.

Does anyone know if the Paula's Choice Booster Vit C is one of the hotdog water types? I've got one of those from a gwp but will pass it on if it is.

Oh no! Was the DE serum the one that's in the sephora ac? If so, I've bought that one for my ac. Hopefully I'll like it. Although, I did only pay £14 for it but I prefer not to throw it away. But it might not agree with my skin anyway, I'm meant to avoid vitamin c products but it was a bargain 🤣🤣 I had to throw away the votary moisturiser from the July liberty beauty drop, the smell of that was awful 🤢

Also Harrods have a Rewards weekend. 10% off but some Beauty is up to 20%. Like Liberty they don't make it easy to work it out.

The beauty crop set is cute! Would be great for teens.

Yeah, harrods does not make it easy at all 🙈😡

Now ordered with the 15% off and £25 of credit.

That makes it worth it. Decided to pass on this one but it is nice. i like the sound of the Kosas spray serum. I'm banning myself from edits where I only really want one item though.

The Sephora sale has started for Gold members, it took 25% off the items I had in my my basket which included some of the Sephora Favourites holiday sets and the Merit blush trio.
The discount shows when checking out.

I've been building a sale wish list all week then spent time considering each one. In the end I've just bought 4 things from a list of about 12.

I can't claim any of the 4 are a need but it's been a better way of doing it than the last sale where I just randomly browsed and impulse bought.

I'm not going to look again.

I bought a Danessa Myricks Colorfix stick as I've been wanting to try one since they came out but think they're too expensive at full price. A Mario F4 brush I've wanted for about a year but they kept being out of stock everywhere. Dior Backstage blush in Starry Mauve from the holiday collection and lastly the NARS Holiday Blush Palette. I probably should have forgone this one but haven't been able to shake the desire since it released and like the DM stick it felt too expensive outside of a decent discount.

Try BDCB too. If that one works it might be a slightly bigger discount (I haven't tried)

The other codes I use for CB are CBXBEAUTYCALENDAR and ANNIIE20 then go with which one works and which gives the best discount. Also don't forget to check TCB.

TreesinthePark · 30/10/2025 11:01

@okydoke I used BDAY15 for 15% off as knew it worked and was rushing before work so no time to test others

I'm a fan of the Next boxes, in fact I've picked up another 2 today, the Treat Yourself one (£25) and the Fragrance one (£18). I'll gift some of the products. The L'Occitane foot cream retails at £29 so that box was a bargain. The warm vanilla sugar spray is £18, so the rest of the fragrance box is basically free 🙂

Just looking at the Fragrance one online but it's showing as £28, not £18? Was there a discount on it in store?

OvaHere · 30/10/2025 13:25

Another make up rec for you all I don't want to gatekeep. You'll be pleased to hear this is not an expensive one.

Morphe Cloudlight Veil Finishing Powder - works like Hourglass and is practically as good as Hourglass. For £16 I'm seriously impressed.

Boots sell it as does Sephora - it's probably in the sale too.

Kind of. CT is more of a traditional powder iyswim. So you're going to get more coverage and pigment from CT than the Morphe one. The Morphe is basically duping Hourglass finishing powder IMO and they've done it really well.

I went in a bit too heavy with blush this morning and this just blurred everything into perfection. Bonus is it's a big size. I've only got HG powder in the palettes and was contemplating a full size single just for ease of use but the Morphe one is going to do just fine.

Look how frugal I am for once...😂

Have you seen the morphe blush palettes? They look like potential dupes of the Patrick Ta Duo Blush, I'm so tempted to try one (or 2) of them. I'll give this powder a try too, I've started using the hourglass out of the JL luxe box, but a cheaper version would be good 😊

Yes. They are earmarked for a future mooch around Boots at lunch. I never tried Morphe in their heyday of massive palettes but everything I've tried since they did a bit of a brand relaunch has been really good. I took one of the 6 pan eye palettes on holiday earlier in the year and really liked it.

Also thanks for the recommendation. I need a new powder and have just bought an EL one to try, but don’t think I’d like to keep buying an expensive one
