Turns out I was only half right - Stephanie was indeed in Saab but MT opted for that Benelux favourite of Natan.

Natan, yes, often favoured by Mathilde. Good call on the Elie Saab though.

Oh dear, that's not a very flattering portrait of Stephanie. She's only 41 but looks about 20 years older there!

That dress isn't very flattering, is it? That stiff tafetta, nor is her hairstyle.

MT is often fond of showing off her impressive bosom imo, that dress does just that.
Not keen on the fussy bodice of Stephanie's dress but the overall look is nice.
Amalia and Elisabeth look beautiful and love Max's green and beige.

I’m not keen on the cut-out in MT’s dress but I do like the colour. I prefer the blue of Stephanie’s dress in the official portrait even if it does look like it needs a good iron. The pale blue is a bit ‘Disney Princess’ for me.

There was definitely a ‘cape memo’ prior to the event…

But, the mascots look lovely! 💙💙

I often think our royals drew a short straw having to wear order sashes with their lovely evening outfits. That yellow though, makes the blue look much more attractive.

I really didn't like Stephanie's dress. It is a pretty colour but there was something off about the bodice. It looked like a breastplate and not in a flattering way.

Elizabeth's two dresses were gorgeous. Amalia looks magnificent.

Strange that Stephanie wore the same dress for the evening event but she strikes me as someone who isn't that into clothes.

Agreed. Amalia looks stunning as does Elisabeth. Her dress looks similar to a Jenny Packham gown that Kate wore some time ago.

Stephanie's dress is somehow not quite right, imo. Too pale and shiny.

Queen Maxima's dress for the evening gala is an easy winner for me. It's beautiful.

Some fantastic bling. It's like Max is trying to do a Mary of Teck, there's a huge brooch on there as well! Elisabeth's tiara is a beauty.

Agree. Max is really going for “More is more” in the style of Queen Mary. I do think that the brooch
may be un peu de trop on the flowery mesh background of her dress, however. Even though it is amazing 🤩
