That dress is awful, I half-expect Kate to accessorise with a wimple! I think she needs a new stylist as she seems to have lost her way a bit since Natasha left.

I sometimes wonder if Sophie has a touch of Princess Anne about her. In that she’s not that bothered about dressing up etc.

I love lace collars. Always make me think of Ruth Bader Ginsberg for whom these were a signature piece.

If you’re all trying to trigger me with these “nod to Diana” posts, it’s working😀. I quite like the white collar, and Catherine’s poppy really, er, pops. She also didn’t look as drained as she has in recent all black ensembles. So all in all I’m giving it a thumbs up.
DD is parading and laying a wreath this morning. She’s in under armour and her school uniform. Not sure yet what I’m wearing (despite needing to leave in 40 mins) but it will be a nod to my DM who was a firm believer in making sure you’re warm enough.

I'm going to our parade too but it is really mild here and I don't really feel the cold so just normal clothes but I will wear my black coat that only tends to come out for this and funerals. No scarves or gloves needed. Comfy shoes will the most important thing. My DCs used to parade with Scouts and Guides but are older now, one is at uni and one working today.

I agree that Catherine looked really well yesterday, positively glowing in fact. Lovely to see. In fact all the Royals in attendance looked well.

I actually did think that maybe the white collar was a way of avoiding looking drained by all black, which seems to have worked. Although it could be the Diana thing too 😂😂

Those collars are everywhere at the moment - I was in M&S yesterday and they have girls’ pyjamas with big frilled-edged collars. On the recent series of Sewing Bee one of the pattern challenges was to make a blouse with a frilled collar.

I wouldn’t wear one myself, but thought it lifted Kate’s all-black ensemble from last night.

The Sussexes at Kris Jenners birthday party last night. I think that style of top and skirt looks amazing on Meghan. It’s a bit of a shame that the two blacks don’t quite match and the lighting makes the top look more blue than black

My first thought on seeing the photo someone posted of Kate was ‘Diana maternity dress’. I am sure there was at least one with a big white collar. A white accent seems a strange choice as all black even in varying textures is the norm at this event - lace, satin etc. Camilla is wearing sequins! - but in this photo of her leaving which is a bit clearer she also has a peplum. Perhaps she is on a mission to bring back the 80s?

I like Meghan's velvet clutch and shoes.

She removed the black ribbon bow on the collar I see. That was a good call.

I also like the outfit and the collar but the hair? Not as much! The long curly look is a no.

Afaik@ChouxDiana had a green maternity dress with a similar collar.

Oh I didnt realise there was a peplum too, that makes me dislike it even more!
