I can’t seem to find a good photo of it, but I suspect that the velvet jacket he wore at the actual Earthshot ceremony is double breasted as well 😱

That was my suspicion.

Leti looks like a medieval queen with her long wavy hair and the big necklace / chain thing. She has worn that dress before (photo in the link) with no necklace and her hair up and it looked much better. Not sure about the sleeves on the dress though. Too puffy and the bows seem quite ‘juvenile’ rather than regal.

Mary’s picture gazing into the distance at the pyramids reminds me of Diana’s Taj Mahal pics before she and Charles separated. Not that I am saying Mary and Fred will separate but it seems their marriage could now be more of an arrangement than a love match. I don’t particularly warm to Mary but it must be hard to be in a foreign country with a high public profile, a somewhat wayward husband and children growing up and not needing you the same way. I hope she has a lot of friends and support and that she actually enjoys her role.

I thought at first glance in the first photo Leti was Sophia! The tiara and earrings are amazing but the hair is odd to say the least. Too much.

Really not keen on Leti's look there. An unusual style fail for her I think.
Quite liking Mary's burgundy outfit though.

Fred comes across as a bit of a doofus, so I think Mary will probably be the person who keeps the monarchy going until it's time to hand over to Christian!

I'm not sure William actually believes in God. His father is certainly confused. The jacket is lurid. Mind you that's in the hands of the photographer and developer of the shot to be fair.

I know but as head of the church of England as the Queen was always addressed it does cause confusion when the following generations are so ambiguous.

Perhaps that's for another thread.

I wonder how our lovely overseas royalty handle it. Not as much is expected of them I think.

I'm going to say something odd now; I quite like Anne's coat. I know, I know. It's a rewear, but I can't remember where she wore it before.
Sophie does look good. I think those trousers look better than camo ones.

Anne's coat looks a bit dark and heavy in artificial light but good in daylight.

I haven't posted for a couple of weeks but am still chuckling about "Dress like Prince Edward day"

So many royal ladies are breaking out the double breasted suited look for daytime. It makes Victoria’s evening choice of sequinned, backless leopard print look very adventurous and glamorous (although perhaps a couple more inches on the skirt would be the perfect length?)

CPV - that's quite a saucy look! I agree, it could be a little longer. Yes, I'm seeing more of the double breasted look at the moment.

My views are mixed on double breasted - Edward gives them a bad press but I think W gets away with it (not in blue though). I also think it's a tricky look for women who have a c-cup bosom or above.

I think double breasted tends to look better with long coats rather than jackets, the weight keeps the front smoother and elongates the shape. Whereas jackets tend to ride up a bit or crumple at the front while adding width where most people don’t want to. I also agree about not being great for bigger busts.
