The new GWP is..... dreadful. £300 minimum spend for things I still have lying about? Nah.

Although I wouldn't mind another of those car fragrances, I actually really liked that in the end!

I LOVE the Big Sur car fragrance, use it in my wardrobe and fabric cupboard!
But not enough to want to spend £300 on beauty to get a kit that seems to be full of leftovers.
£200 and I probably would have.

I would use a lot of stuff in here, the Wild Source Cleansing Melt is fantastic and worth £25. The SUQQU primer is an HG for me and worth £13. Barbara Sturm hyaluronic serum is amazing I’ve had a sample before and it lasted ages, 3ml is worth £26.50 as a 30ml bottle is £265 - I’ve never repurchased but it was transformative! I’m surprised by the high spend. Maybe it’s to stop the reselling behaviour that’s happening with the cult beauty gwp

BCSurvivor · 24/02/2026 10:28

@BakeOffRewatch did we have the Wild Source Cleansing Melt in a recent kit or beauty box?
It's ringing a bell but I'm mortified at the size of my still unused stash as I can't remember if I have it or not!!!

BakeOffRewatch · 24/02/2026 10:33

I’ve definitely had it before not sure when or from what sorry.

BakeOffRewatch · 24/02/2026 10:35

The Verden hand cream is really good too. I agree it’s not exciting but it’s got a lot of solid good products that will get used. Love the smell of the Charlotte Mensah hair stuff. I’m tempted!

We got that in the October box, I'm still slowly working my way through it.

Another76543 · 24/02/2026 10:43

That’s the worst GWP I’ve seen. Nearly all items have appeared in the beauty drop, and there’s not even a bag with it.

TragicMuse · 24/02/2026 10:44

Fortunately I am entirely not tempted! £300! Nope. Not in this incarnation.

Alabas · 24/02/2026 11:28

Noooo! I was so excited for this. There are a lot of things I need and it’s my birthday so nearly always do the gwp this time of year - sadly not this time! I still have multiples of nearly all these things from previous boxes. I was really hoping for a nice treat!! What a disappointment.

Ereerenownow · 24/02/2026 11:43

I feel a bit blah about liberty at the moment. Their last advent calendar i found, was really poor and I've ended up using very few of the products. I also though the last drop box was rubbish. This order is just full of stuff they have left over from the last few drop boxes.

Lovelysheep · 24/02/2026 11:49

Oh, all those little bottles of Boemia perfume that have ended up unloved in the GWP that I’m desperate for. I feel quite sad for them.

I think the cleansing melt was in the last beauty drop before Christmas, whenever that is - October? I really like it, have used it quite a bit and have a lot left.

Me too! I wish they would send those in the next BD on the website even!

H3lloMums · 24/02/2026 16:25

It's a very expensive gift with purchase! Not making me miss LibBD too much yet - sure I'll sign up again though. Annoyingly the lid on my sana perfume was loose and it tipped out a bit in the cupboard, surprised that it is just screw top!

Yes we had this one. I like to "test" out travel products at home before I take them away to make sure I actually like them first. I tested this and used it all up just at home! It was one of the nicest balm cleansers I've tried.

There are a couple of other products in here that I like too. I still have plenty of Boemia left and I always repurchase the La Bruket lip balm when its in stock. All good finds from Beauty Drops and Kits but I'm desperate for something new to try now.

I am ready and willing to spend my money but Liberty are offering leftovers. I think £300 is way too high but I'm more disappointed about the actual GWP contents to be honest.

AndeanFlamingo · 24/02/2026 17:24

I don't mind the GWP contents too much though some new items would have been nice. The £300 minimum spend is really too high though.

Lurkingshark · 24/02/2026 18:49

Wondering if anyone has found a dupe for the Suuqu watery lotion? Not the most recent one but the one that was basically like water? There are loads on vinted but they are small and it kinda annoys me.

No. I just bought the big one. Expensive but it does last a long time. Mine is almost done and I feel like I've got maybe 6 months from it (have used up one or two of the minis I had in that time too).

I think the Sana perfume is faulty - I really liked it so was saving it and knew how much was left (half the little bottle) and when I picked it up a month later it was totally empty. It had been standing upright with its top on but somehow seemed to evaporate? Is that possible? It’s only me and DP in the house and I’m sure he wouldn’t have used it!

That is weird I just assumed it spilt but googled and perfumes can evaporate if not sealed properly!

PacificState · 24/02/2026 20:04

I wondered if I’d somehow spilled it, but it’s on my dressing table so I’m sure I would have smelled it if it did (would be a pretty rubbish perfume otherwise!) I liked it a lot but it’s put me off - I don’t want to spend £££ on it only to have it disappear…

Lurkingshark · 24/02/2026 20:12

Thanks @OvaHere I might suck it up and get it when there is a liberty offer on. I only worked out how to use it about 50% way through and now a convert.

I would love a dupe if anyone does have one because I feel like it's one of those products that has a niche die hard following but could easily get discontinued. It's not that easy to get. Harrods and Liberty sell it but it's often out of stock at Liberty.

BakeOffRewatch · 24/02/2026 20:30

@Lurkingshark which one do you mean the SUQUU aquafons moisturiser? What was the recent one? Trying to make sense of my own stuff. I have a SUQQU item I haven’t used yet, I think that’s the one everyone was saying is greasy which put me off. Last summer I had a SUQQU moisturiser that was like water I loved that.

Lurkingshark · 24/02/2026 20:37

My research today suggested hada labo gold lotion or a curel lotion ( a brand I like, but I think are not animal friendly). I noticed the suqqu was low in stock online.

@BakeOffRewatch the last year one which was like water. I’ve bought a few off vinted.
