I'm torn between the sleep & the glam kits. My perfume taste is nowhere near sophisticated enough to buy the scent kit. I really didn't get on with the 2 perfumes in the October drop.

I have just under £95 left in my beauty drop account after buying this years' advent calendar. I was hoping to use the money to spend on a kit, black Friday or post Xmas sale and then I would be finished with the Beauty Drop scheme.

Arrearing50 · 23/10/2025 11:27

Went for the glam kit here, couldn’t resist the Westman atelier - complexion could use a glow up!

Get them both 😁

I've gone for the Sleep Kit - need a hot water bottle, love the Dermalogica and the AA shower oil is lovely so that was me sold. I liked the sound of the scent one but having sorted out the drawer where my perfumes live it turns out that I have eleven full size bottles and 29 minis (yay for birthday Pehaligon's gifts etc) so I've imposed a moratorium on myself on that front. The new Hera design for the hotty botty and bag looks lovely, just hoping it's cotton and not that plastic coated stuff that makes my skin prickle when I touch it...

Same! I'm so excited to try that. And the eyeshadows and lip stuff. Oh and the serum is worth £115. Ah, exciting!! 🎊

I’ve gone for the scent kit. I did briefly look at the sleep one, but already have two mini hot water bottles..they are great though. 🥰

I would like one of these hot water bottles but I never want the rest of the sleep kits.

UntamedShrew · 23/10/2025 13:14

I think I’m getting the sleep one - I’d love the 1875 but don’t need any other scent so might also just have to buy that separately too! These look fab, I’m going to keep half and put a few bits in as stocking treats for my mum and DD.

I hope they do the individual crackers again too, I think last year they came out nearer to Xmas.

BankfieldForever · 23/10/2025 13:34

Just rejoining the thread as I just got my box today. I didn’t get an email or anything, contacted Liberty CS last night and Yodel left it outside my door this morning. Typical.

Very pleased with it overall. SO glad there was no M+G or sheet masks.

I like cleansers and perfume so I’ll use everything except the AB retinol, (I would have preferred ‘The Rich Cream’ again as I’m on prescription Tret and have never used retinol) - I love 1875 and am now torn between that and Wild Rosinda.. luckily I can’t justify either of them at the moment!

I like the bag too but a prettier pattern would have been nice.

They don’t carry my suqqu brow pens or Ultra Violette any more so I’ll be spending my balance on Lisa Eldridge or saving it up until next Christmas and looking at homeware.

I have been doing the sums already!! Then I started thinking about a glam & overnight kit double whammy!

Just looked at the Overnight edit…its nice, I like the bag.. but its got Malin and Goertz and Skin Rocks in it so its a no.

I want the Lisa Eldridge bag, but I have a whole box of toiletry and tote bags under my bed already so I’m trying to hold off.

BakeOffRewatch · 23/10/2025 14:27

They gave me the Lisa Eldridge bag for free at the counter when I bought 4 items.

Thanks, I know they do this - but I’m not going to buy four items (or spend £120 on LE). I already stocked up on lipsticks and don’t really use anything else from her range so if I get the bag it will have to be by itself.

BakeOffRewatch · 23/10/2025 11:15

@SoloCat hot water bottles have a life span. Check the stamp on the rubber - if you photo it I can help decipher. Generally it’s 2-3 years. It can degrade and rip and lead to horrible burns - have to be careful with kids. This link says two years (that's two years from manufacture date, not first use) www.midandsouthessex.ics.nhs.uk/health/winter/hot-water-bottle-safety/ . My purchase was Feb 2023 so think I’m due a new one beautyadventcalendar.net/liberty-says-relax-beauty-kit/

@AlPaccacino best wishes for your biopsy today x

One of them I haven’t used, the other one I’ll give it a check over. I have had that happen to me before years ago, just wasn’t aware that they had a time lifespan, I thought it was more of a general use thing. Thanks for that info. 🥰

The Overnight kit is fabulous!

Gintime74 · 23/10/2025 18:28

I went for the glam kit. The sleep kit would have made a good christmas present but decided on spending my remaining credits on me

Oh no that’s awful, I’m so sorry that happened to you. The rubber/plastic degrades from manufacture date, not first use.

Hicupping · 23/10/2025 19:30

If it helps, I don't rate that bamford spray at all. Did nothing, doesn't small as nice as the This works one either. OTO spray very good though at helping with sleep.

HumBumBum · 23/10/2025 22:51

You all convinced me I needed the glam kit, can’t wait to get it now (also can’t wait for 1st December!!)

Arrearing50 · 24/10/2025 08:13

Mine is on the way - hoping it’s a glamorous weekend!

Arrearing50 · 24/10/2025 08:15

The date labelling on beauty products
isn’t nearly good enough. I had no idea rubber was perishable until I came across it at work as an expiry date coded item.

I've noticed some beauty products do go off now - declining preservative use is a good thing to make us more on top of the stash.

Skibunnygal · 24/10/2025 08:16

Those of you who bought the overnight kit - what size of davines is in it please @JoRaRaRa I think you were one of those people :)
