Trainers for autumn/winter

What’s on your target list? What colour/style?

I’m very aware my barefoot in Birkenstock days are numbered and my trainers are too “summer”. I have white Nike AF1 (yeah yeah I know but they’re comfy), pale blue Nike running shoes and light turquoise adidas (can’t remember the style but not samba or gazelle, but similar)
Theyre not going to work with my winter clothes (dark neutrals like most ), so what colour trainers should I look at? I’m at a blank! Oh -I can’t wear Adidas gazelles

I bought the Hoff Montreal trainers last year and had lots of compliments on them.

Damn I like those remonte ones. Usually I have some Gabor trainer boots I wear.

I wear them a lot

Lifebeganat50 · 24/09/2025 12:59

I have a stupid bunion so can’t wear NB 327 as they’re narrow at the wrong point for me, which is a nuisance as they’re lovely.
I think I’m narrowing down colour to some variety of beige and black

I keep drooling over the Hoff Berlin but they’re so expensive.

Hoff - like having warm clouds on your feet. And I mean that in a good way!

Sorry to jump on your thread, op but everyone who has posted about the NB 327s, are they also for a wider foot?

I certainly haven’t got the narrowest of feet and they’re great for me, although someone up thread did say they catch them in the wrong place.

I wear Puma Suede in red, green, or black. I have a pair of black suede trainers from Superdry and a pair of white leather Tommy Hilfiger ones (they'll need replacing soon).

I developed plantar fasciitis after wearing New Balance whilst doing a fair bit of walking (but nothing that warranted walking boots), still suffering 8 months later.

Never liked Adidas trainers and like that I rarely see people in the same trainers as me.

Sheeppig · 25/09/2025 11:01

Another vote for Hoff here and they have a wide range of colours. They are incredibly comfortable. My only advice would be to find somewhere to try them on , i think John Lewis sells them. You could then choose the colour you wanted online. If you are returning a pair to Hoff itself you'll have to pay 10 Euros postage as they are based in Spain.

I’ve just bought there burgundy Nike AF1s. Would have preferred leather to suede but the colour is perfect for my winter wardrobe

I’ve had my eye on these too!

MarmiteMaiden · 26/09/2025 07:01

Got these snakeskin sambas yesterday. They are even nicer in the flesh. Adidas are also doing an all black version, but I couldn’t find them anywhere online in my size.

I’m wearing Adidas Japan’s at the minute. They’re the most comfortable trainer I’ve ever worn, and I’ve been through them all!
ASOS have some on sale at the minute. I bought the burgundy striped ones yesterday.

Georgiemc · 26/09/2025 08:06

Ha ha, I have them and love the look. They don’t fit great for me though

minipie · 27/09/2025 00:06

If you need a wider toe box try New Balance 574 - so so comfy.

The 327s remind me of Kryten

HelenHywater · 27/09/2025 08:27

I want Adidas SL72s too. Am considering my colour choice.
