Trainers for autumn/winter

What’s on your target list? What colour/style?

I’m very aware my barefoot in Birkenstock days are numbered and my trainers are too “summer”. I have white Nike AF1 (yeah yeah I know but they’re comfy), pale blue Nike running shoes and light turquoise adidas (can’t remember the style but not samba or gazelle, but similar)
Theyre not going to work with my winter clothes (dark neutrals like most ), so what colour trainers should I look at? I’m at a blank! Oh -I can’t wear Adidas gazelles

Another vote for New Balance 327's.

I have black with animal print N from last year, so I'll be wearing those again. They're so comfortable!

I also have the green/floral Adidas x Liberty Sambas, also from last year, that I love. So they're coming out again this week.

But I do really fancy a brown-ish pair, of something.

My M&S ones are very much a copy of these and fabulous too .

Omg I love trainers and have bought 3 pairs of my favourite style in more winter colours (ps am 50 so never too old for trainers)

I saw so many well put together people in London wear these last weekend. Mainly in bright red or green. I think they will be popular.

Another vote for NB327, so comfy.

I'm annoyed the teens have stolen Adidas. I just can't bring myself to wear the same trainers -Spezials - as my 15 year old. I've got some Gazelles but they're just a bit too similar.

Really liking the NB 327, may get a black and white pair.

I also like the Tiger Mexico but they're pricey.

My husband has worn speedcats for more than 20years! He will be very amused to be suddenly on trend

Me too and me too. Like walking on cushions and work with everything (dresses and opaque tights included)

I have lived in my NB 327s since last autumn, absolutely love them especially in the white and burgundy colour.

Yes I love trainers and yes I love boring neutrals. Autumn is my fave trainer season!

I've got some black leather converse high tops that I love for autumn and winter.

I have Handball Spezial and have just put them away for the winter. They are summer shoes imo. They are very comfy once you wear them in (have weird high insole initially) they are really not great in the rain. I've been doing uni open days the last few weekends and they really aren't waterproof enough once you're tromping through puddles (despite being waterproof sprayed). I've gone back to my trusty AF1s for winter - absolutely bullet proof in the rain. I even have some black goretex ones which are incredible that I wear watching kids Rugby matches knee deep in mud and my feet never get wet.

How do the BW army compare to other Adidas shoes for size? TIA

My 10ish yr old Adidas gazelles had to be retired this year as the soles were worn through.
I bought these a couple of weeks ago and have been good so far.

You can get slightly different versions of them as well eg. with a less chunky sole

Haven't teens worn Adidas since forever?

They’re much roomier than Sambas and Gazelles, but the leather is a bit stiffer. Pretty comfortable, though.,

I have such awkward feet that my main priority for footwear is comfort, so I expect my choice of footwear would be considered deeply unstylish.

A workmate who is into fashion says brown is best now. I will have to take her word for that, but I can see the appeal. A dark colour that will handle winter weather better.

I have an obsession with brightly colured, silver or leopard print trainers - don't give a fig about what's 'trendy' or 'designer' or prices because I buy what I like and is comfortable!

I agree that NB 327s are wonderfully comfortable, but they look all wrong to me now and they look awful with tights imo.

Damn I like those remonte ones. Usually I have some Gabor trainer boots I wear.
