I don't like Anna Wintour's dress at all. It looks very hot. I often wonder whether Catherine wears long hems and sleeves in light fabrics to provide protection from the sun.

It's a name change Jeff. Check the end of the last thread and you'll see. No wonder people were confused.

I wish I could pull a sun hat off as beautifully as Catherine does.

I believe the royal box is in the shade for most of not all of the day. I imagine Kate has the hat for before/after the match when she's doing meet and greets, presentation etc if she has to stand in the sun.

How come hats are frowned upon in the Royal box but fine in the normal seats? I've always taken a hat to Wimbledon, the sun exposure can be brutal.

She has the hat on I think. Maybe helps keep the sun out of her eyes?

The one time I went to Wimbledon it was a blazing hot day so I was very glad to be up in the gods and in the shade! The acoustics are brilliant on centre court though, and we could hear the smack of every ball.

I've got one of those water bottles which also has a spray nozzle so you can mist your face. All I can say is: bliss.

There was a discussion earlier on cricket whites. I like gentlemen in traditional cricket attire. Not often seen nowadays.

Sophie is currently visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. She’s been there for 3 days and I hadn’t even realised. She is a bit like Anne in that she slogs away doing lots of worthy visits but doesn’t get the press coverage unfortunately. Anyway, not keen on any of her outfits. The one with the headscarf is quite nice. It was for a ceremony to honor victims of the Srebrenica genocide.

I went on a wet day almost 30 years ago and only saw a brief bit of play on centre (pre roof) but it was Tim Henman in a quarter final so the atmosphere was electric when we did get a few minutes of tennis.

I finally made it back last year on court one it was dry but not particularly hot and our seats were in the shade but the seats in the sun must be brutal on hot days.
